We had an emergency at 6am and Inland Valley Veterinary ER was closest to our home. The friendly receptionist put us at ease with her thorough questions before admitting our dog. Dr Carrol was so kind and answered every one of our questions. She recommended needed testing and bloodwork for our Lucy and we had to leave her for a couple of hours. At pick up, Dr Erik came in and set us up with treatment going forward and explained everything to our satisfaction. Great staff that i highly recommend!

Foxtail removed by our own competent vet, not this disgusting Emergency Hospital we went to.

This place is a joke. They send a generic comment to all of us leaving negative reviews to call them because they're very concerned about our pets. I've called and left a message twice for the supervisor Vanessa and she hasn't returned my calls. Nice place. On another note, both times I called and talked to 2 different girls (Davina and Sierra) and they were very friendly. Too bad they have to work for this scam place that charges for procedures not done on our pets.

Our beloved Big Beautiful Boxer Jade, you will be missed, and you will always be our baby girl.

This was our first visit to IVVS in Upland/Ontario We arrived at 1:30am with our 12 year old boxer in severe pain. All I can say is that the acknowledgement and care you are greeted with is outstanding customer service. The office are a welcoming environment. The set up is if your visiting your own human dr office. CLEAN, STRESS FREE. Dr. Hillary Carroll DVM was clear in explaining what was wrong with our girl Jade and the various option we had. We chose to let her rest and let Our Jade from future pain Dr. Carroll stayed with us thru the whole procedure and help us with our unexpected grief. Her staying with us meant so much. Thank you to all the staff at IVVS who were most accommodating at this difficult time.

RIP our Lilly girl

Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for Inland Valley Veterinary. Their 24hr care again was a beacon in the night for our family. When we found ourselves having to euthanize our beloved chihuahua after hours to prevent further suffering they came through for us. We were treated kindly and promptly. They provided us with a room to grieve and say goodbye. They repeatedly told us to take as long as we needed. It was a peaceful crossing for our baby and our family. I highly recommend them for emergencies for your pets.

I can't say enough good things about this hospital. This is my second time bringing one of my dogs here, and both experiences have been amazing. The team truly cares and goes above and beyond. They took such great care of my baby, and I felt reassured every step of the way. They answered all my questions and concerns with patience and kindness, which meant so much during a stressful time. I was even able to visit my dog and bring her food, which made the experience feel more personal and comforting. Everyone I interacted with was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell they really love what they do and care deeply for the animals they treat. I'm so grateful for their help and wouldn't hesitate to come back if needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that will treat your pet like family.

Their concept of time with compassion for the parents of pets waiting is terrible. No concern of for anyone else's time.

If your pet is ever unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with cancer, this is the place to go…read more My dog, Henry and I have had an exceptional experience at MarQueen Veterinary Oncology Clinic in Upland. The front desk check-in ladies are always friendly, helpful and professional, and the clinic itself is clean and well run. During my initial referral appointment, Dr FitzPatrick explained my dog Henry's grade 3 mast cell tumor diagnosis clearly and honestly. He took the time to walk me through the prognosis, next steps, and all available treatment options. I appreciated that he was straightforward about what to expect while still being compassionate and supportive. We are now about six weeks into treatment, with weekly bloodwork and chemotherapy. One thing that has stood out is the consistency of care. Veterinary Technician Shannon always comes to the waiting room to take Henry back for his treatments. I truly appreciate seeing the same person each time. Shannon is kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and Henry is clearly comfortable with her. Henry is feeling pretty good overall, even after his chemotherapy sessions. Seeing him do well has been a blessing and has helped reassure me that his treatments are helping. While I understand the prognosis is serious, I feel confident that Henry is receiving the best possible care here in order to extend his quality of life. I'm very grateful for the level of care Henry is receiving and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing Oncology services for their pet.

Please read this before coming here. I brought my very sick senior yorkie in yesterday morning…read morearound 10 am since we were referred here by another EMERGENCY hospital that was not equipped for an ultrasound which was what my baby needed. We didn't get vitals until an hour later and then once we're in a room an hour after that to talk to a dr we waited for another 2 hours and then the dr tells us they'll go ahead and do the ultrasound and said it will be done anytime before 6pm because we were a "walk in" THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION and my dog was actively dying!! Mind you we got there at 10 and the whole time his gallbladder was ruptured and leaking and there was no sense of urgency at all. Not to mention the doctors attitude was so cold and casual I believe her name was Zamora. Once the ultrasound was done around 3/4 pm we waited and waited and waited still for them to talk to us about the results probably over another hour or two we were waiting all for Zamora to come in very causally once again and say his gallbladder is the cause of all this and it has mucocele which is causing inflammation and he needs surgery. She just came in, opened her laptop and told us the findings. She didn't even SHOW us the ultrasounds or go in depth like every other place I've been to. You would think for $1,900 they would do that but no all they care about is the money and it shows. After she told us the news I say when are you doing the surgery and she responds "right now I'm holding the surgeon here" and then quotes us 17k minimum and 20k maximum for this surgery and hospitalization. So we're over here panicking and stressing because he's actively dying and they're trying to rob us and on top of that giving him a 50/50 chance of survival. Me and my mom were in panic trying to find another way another place to just save my dog since this is just not realistic for an average person but they seem to think otherwise. Anyway we asked if we could have a moment to discuss and make phone calls and throughout this whole time suddenly they were readily available and not busy and kept coming in to the room asking if we've made a decision yet and then at one point come in to say "so you're not doing surgery then? So I can send the surgeon away" how could they say that when all they had done all day was making us wait and suddenly it's urgent only when it comes to getting money!! And every time I asked a question regarding his rupture and gallbladder the lady kept saying "let me ask" "let me check" because the doctor that was just there had already disappeared!! We ended up making a phone call to an amazing vet hospital in Tijuana called "hospital de Mascotas SAJI" we called them and they said to bring him in as soon as we could so we got our baby back from this place and declined the surgery which they did not look too happy about. On the way to TJ, the vets over there were asking for all his lab work in order to be prepared for his surgery and when I called marqueen for his records and ultrasound results to be emailed to me they took over an hour and I had to call 3 times! said the doctor needs to sign off even though we were just there and we're entitled to our records. We made our way to Tijuana Mexico where they did a quick ultrasound that took minutes as soon as we got there and then proceeded with surgery. Unfortunately our baby didn't make it I only wish I would have come to this place in Mexico sooner. If only MarQueen treated this as an emergency as it was after all it's in their name and did tests sooner perhaps we could have gotten him to his surgery sooner and he would have had more of a chance since he was too far gone by the time the whole day of waiting around has passed. To everyone reading this I suggest you find a vet in Mexico or go to this one for a pet emergency or even any need. They care so much more about your pet for not even a fraction of the cost and on top of that they were COMPASSIONATE. I was also quoted $1,800 in Mexico for the same surgery, medication and hospitalization if my baby had pulled through.

I took my dog, Billfred, to this veterinary clinic on 7/8 because he was bleeding from his mouth…read more My regular veterinarian was completely booked, so I had no choice but to seek care elsewhere. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. I felt like the focus was more on making money than on identifying and treating the actual problem. My dog was seen by Dr. Austin, who performed her initial exam in the back instead of in the exam room with me present. I found this unusual since every other veterinarian I've been to has examined my pet in front of me. I specifically mentioned that Billfred had rotten teeth and asked that they be checked because I was concerned they could be causing the bleeding. Dr. Austin told me that his teeth were "the least of our worries" and instead recommended extensive blood work, including fecal testing. I was quoted approximately $500 for routine lab work or $1,000 for STAT labs. I agreed to the routine labs because I wanted to help my dog. Later that same evening, Billfred started bleeding again. This time I was able to locate the source myself--it was clearly coming from one of his bad teeth. That left me confused and frustrated. If the source of the bleeding was his tooth, why wasn't that identified during his exam? Why were expensive lab tests recommended before ruling out the obvious issue I had specifically pointed out? It also made me question how thorough the examination really was since it was performed out of my sight. The following day, 7/9, I called the clinic and asked to speak with a manager to express my concerns. I was told the only thing they could do was refund the office visit because Dr. Austin is the owner of the facility. While I appreciate the refund, it did not address my concerns about the quality of care or the unnecessary expenses I incurred. As a pet owner, I expect my concerns to be heard and for the most likely causes of a problem to be thoroughly evaluated before recommending costly diagnostic testing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Based on my experience, I would not return to this clinic or recommend it to others.

Back of the house staff, including our attending vet (Dr. Wilson), was kind and easy to talk to. What lacks is the front of the house staff. They need more adequate training in the discharge and vet hospital protocols. They also are not the warmest people to talk to. Asked for a prescription fill on the phone and was told to upload the hard copies provided unto Chewy, but once I informed them it wasn't acceptable due to pharmacy regulations I was met with a dismissive tone and attitude. Not the kind of treatment you want when going to a facility to tend to your pets at their lowest times. The front staff member, Erica, insisted it was approved already. I asked if it was actually approved electronically and that's when she paused and went to check. Maybe check before answering so confidently? I even told them in the exam room that I would be sending the prescription request over to the office before leaving. She could have simply told me kindly she will let the doctor know as soon as she's free instead of rudely claiming how they are super busy and they'll get to it when they get to it. I would have had much more respect with that response. I'm a healthcare provider and would NEVER come off that dismissive to a patient of mine. Especially for such a simple matter. Unprofessional to say the least.

For the cats, there is a separate entrance so the cats don't have to mingle with the dogs, which is really nice since they are already traumatized from riding in the car. In the examination room there little baskets with blankets and cabinets for cats to "hide in" to feel comfortable, which I have never seen anywhere else. Usually vet rooms are just the examination table. Lastly, and most importantly, I found my 2 year old cat non-responsive on the floor one morning, which was completely out of the blue. I took him to other vets who REFUSED to administer life saving care without a $5000 up front payment. Dr. Nicole did NOT do that!!! Given the severity of the illness (and the fact the cat probably had hours to live without treatment), she treated him immediately and we discussed payment later. She actually cared about saving my cat's life above anything else. Dr. Nicole was willing to help me figure out a way to help me keep my cat alive without bankrupting myself or requiring an upfront fee just to look at him. And she did save his life. He is still alive today 2 years later :) and doing great (turns out he needed an operation due to a congenital birth defect). Also- I am surprised by some of the 1 star reviews mentioning how expensive things are. I feel other vets are more expensive and other vets seem to not care, like if you can't pay, your pet dies (see above). This is definitely NOT one of those places AND it is one of the more affordable places I have ever been to. I have had cats for past 10 years and have been to Marqueen, Claremont Veterinary, and VCA on Central Ave in Montclair, and this place is by far the most economical for the quality of care, for what its worth
