Now that we've gotten our cat's remains back, I feel safe writing my honest thoughts about this place. Last Wednesday (3.4.26 at roughly 1:30am), we showed up after a Google search showed IVVS as the closest emergency hospital open near us. My husband called after our roommate found our cat unfortunately passed away. The woman on the phone was kind, at first, and told us they were open and we could bring our cat's body in for cremation. That being said, they were aware we were coming. When we arrived, they let us in the room to take a moment to spend a few minutes saying goodbye before moving forward. Well, it would've been a fine time to mourn...if the two women at the front desk, on the opposite side of the wall to our room, weren't laughing and joking loudly about whatever. And it wasn't just once. This lasted the entire time we were in the room, in and out to process paperwork at the desk. The whole process took less than an hour, and the entire time, the vets were having a wonderful time in the next room, while we were all grieving our loss. The cherry on top would be our roommate's name spelled wrong in multiple ways, including on the back of the clay pawprint they made for us that we received tonight, and the paperwork we originally received that night, both spelled in completely different ways than his actual name. The vet didn't sign our copies of the paperwork either, so we don't even know her name. When we left, however, I waited inside while my husband and roommate went out to the car, so I could speak to the vet. I very nicely told her that the entire treatment was incredibly disrespectful, and as people are mourning a loss, maybe laughing and acting like that was at such a sensitive time was rude and inappropriate. She immediately switched up her demeanor, "I'm so sorry, I haven't worked overnight in months so I'm a little delusional right now. It was unprofessional, but she (the colleague) was making me laugh and we're just trying to make it through the night." Yeah, well maybe they should stay off of the night shifts if this is how they act. We left that night/morning not only heartbroken from the loss of our fur baby, but incredibly offended by the vets' actions. Do better. read more

We had an emergency at 6am and Inland Valley Veterinary ER was closest to our home. The friendly receptionist put us at ease with her thorough questions before admitting our dog. Dr Carrol was so kind and answered every one of our questions.She recommended needed testing and bloodwork for our Lucy and we had to leave her for a couple of hours. At pick up, Dr Erik came in and set us up with treatment going forward and explained everything to our satisfaction. Great staff that i highly recommend! read more

This place is a joke. They send a generic comment to all of us leaving negative reviews to call them because they're very concerned about our pets. I've called and left a message twice for the supervisor Vanessa and she hasn't returned my calls. Nice place. On another note, both times I called and talked to 2 different girls (Davina and Sierra) and they were very friendly. Brought my pet into the Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists on the weekend because he wasn't acting like himself and was in pain and IVVS was quick to help. Davina made us feel welcome and was efficient in getting us roomed for our visit. The site is quite cleanly and the rooms felt spacious. The vet tech, Ellie, was also kind and listed to our needs. Took my 3 month old puppy today paid 132.00 dollars was waiting for doctor then the young lady who was very nice her name is Ashley came and said the doctor wanted to do povo test and they needed 94 dollars to do that WhenItold them I didn't have it gave a place that I could possibly get approved which I was denied. So request to refund my money which she did but it will take 2 to 3 days to get my money back. I don't recommend this place to nobody . They could have treated the puppy and gave me a payment plan it's like they don't care it's all about the money. So I am back home praying and I know my heavenly father here's my prayers and I will not make it to my Bible study today this mother's day have to watch my baby. read more

My dog had a scary and late night issue that needed an emergency vet visit. We came to IVVS initially because the cost of the base exam was 127$ and they were open 24 hours. The receptionist Julia was very kind and helpful taking our information and helping us get our dogs information in. They took us back into our own room with our dog, and took him back for his exam after we had been here for about 30 min. This clinic functions the same way a human emergency room does so they prioritize critical patients over others, so even though they took our dog back, it took them about 2 hours since we first got here to start his exam. Despite the frustrations of dealing with a hurt pet at late hours, the receptionist and technicians were very understanding and helpful. The technician did a good job explaining which treatments were most important to have done today, and which I could afford to do for cheeper with my regular vet. While we waited for our dog to have tests we were able to go home and they gave us a call when he was ready. Overall our dog spent about 7 hours with them but they were not able to figure out what the cause of his issues were. But they were able to rule some things out. They gave us some pain meds to help him manage and hopefully start to recover. They also offer 20$ off your exam cost if you do a review on Yelp or Google. Date of visit: 03/28-29/25 read more

This is my second time here and in the event of another emergency, I don't think I'd take my kitty anywhere else. The front receptionist staff were extremely patient and professional, usually this is our first indication if we're going to have a good experience so kudos to them because they were so kind and welcoming! Last night we had to make the tough decision to euthanize our almost 16 year old pug Ruby. I had brought my senior cat here about a year and a half ago and they handled her care so I trusted them to bring my sweet Ruby here. Let me preface this by saying I myself am an RVT at a general practice. I brought my pet here because she was in a critical condition and it was the evening, my work was closed. I also want to say the receptionist was great. The issue was when we never once had a DVM come in and talk to us. Just rotating techs that did not introduce themselves. The techs were very insensitive - moving too quickly while trying to push the drugs to put my baby to sleep. The tech did not have the IV catheter clamped. If it's not clamped then blood gets into the T-port and clots...and although it was not clamped there was no blood. That right there should've been an indicator to the tech that the IV was not properly in the vein. Again, I'm a tech I understand it can be hard to place an IV in a geriatric patient with low blood pressure, however if you're going to bring somebody's baby into the room without being 100% sure that the IV is properly placed - that's unacceptable. She then still decided to push propofol - rather fast. And NOTHING happened to my sweet baby, still awake trying to move away because the IV was not in - and all it was doing was "blowing her vein" AND THE TECH STILL PUSHED THE EUTHASOL. My baby did not pass. Instead the tech took her to the back for what felt like forever and then just brought her back in and immediately started pushing the drugs fast, again - did not ask if we were ready or wanted another moment to say goodbye AGAIN. All this to say : PLEASE refresh your sensitivity training on your staff and PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR TECHS PLACE AN IV 100% CORRECTLY BEFORE PUSHING EUTHANSIA DRUGS - ANY DRUGS. Please flush the IV before bringing them in. Having to make the decision to put my baby to sleep was already hard enough and that experience made it a thousand times more traumatic. I HAVE ALSO CALLED TWICE and have been told the same thing - manager is not in and is not available, but that they will call me soon to address my concerns. The first call was at 930am and the second at 1115am. It is now 320pm. UPDATE: I called at 513pm and was on hold for 13 minutes and was told Doug one of the managers would call me back because he was finishing up a dental procedure...it is now 650pm and still nothing They never called that evening. Currently on the phone waiting again. UPDATE: The receptionist said he just went to lunch and chuckled a bit. No sense of urgency at all. I called back after his lunch and he said he has a lot to and cannot talk to me but I am on his "to do list" (couldn't even say priority??) he said give him an hour and HE WILL call me back in an hour. It's been 2 hours. On hold again. read more

Didn't even care to look at my fur baby. DO BETTER or close your doors for good. Will be reporting to the state veterinarian medical board for negligence and unethical conduct. read more
