first time here and omg I have nothing but good things to say!! From the start going in i immediately got welcomed by the friendly staff and directed me to the groomers station. My baby has been getting groomed since he was a puppy but recently his original groomer mentioned he was super aggressive and reactive and if it happened again she couldn't groom him anymore but didn't tell me why. I then took him to and different one and informed them of situation which was a bit better since she did tell me my dogs trigger points and what to work on with him but he seemed over stimulated when I got him back. So I was looking around came across pet depot called and they reassured me that they can take care of my baby with love and care even if he is reactive & recommended me to book the earliest appt so he can be alone with no dogs so my dog can feel a bit more comfortable and at ease so immediately was convinced bc I thought that was so sweet I wanted to highlight Niko she was so AMAZING!! from the start she handled my baby with gentleness and was so sweet to him. You can tell she truly cares for your dogs safety and well being and from the 7 years of getting my dog groomed I've never encountered that. I left leaving so reassured and comfortable. When I got him back he was super happy and calm which was a first as well!! I will be coming here and recommending everyone to Niko, God bless you girl Also the price is very affordable The workers there were also so informative and helpful (they actually seemed happy and excited to be there, unlike Petco employees) bc they were kind and patient with my questions I had with the different foods they have. The gal was making openly snide remarks about customers shopping on a Sunday around noon on 12/14/25. We could tell the cashiers were talking in code and it was obvious they were disrespecting some customers who walked in. Managers at this store should make sure their employees are trained to behave nicely to customers, especially since there are numerous competitors they could lose business to. I've taken my dog for grooming here after he had a traumatic experience having his nails cut at PetSmart. That experience made nail trims go from chill to my baby having severe anxiety when it comes to trims. They were super accommodating after I explained the situation. Best first experience and subsequent appointments. I also appreciate the main store staff. They have given me a lot of tips for my kitten. Their food recommendations were informative not "let me sell you this brand" driven. I saw someone mention the store cat negatively. She (store cat) doesn't bother anyone. She has only been sweet with my toddler. If anything she's a great opportunity to teach my dog to not be reactive. I think this helped with how he's been accepting of our new kitty. read more

I love the friendly technicians that are at this location. They take such good care of my dogs. Their vet is inside Katie's pet depot and anytime they have a doctors appointment are usually get their nails trimmed. They are very gentle with them and leave them very smooth so that I don't get scratched up afterwards highly recommend bringing your fur babies here. read more

There's also a wide variety of dog harnesses, leashes, and collars, like walking harnesses, harnesses with Velcro for patches, collars that are waterproof, or with handles, or with Velcro for patches. The store does have a cat inside that stays at the cash register which surprised me. I was with my dog and the employees let me know that the cat was not friendly and did not like dogs. BIG NO! Take your pets anywhere but here. I had an appointment because my dog was showing signs of an obstruction. I saw the veterinarian who immediately started wanting to do a lot of extra tests besides just an x-ray (to start) since all of his symptoms pointed to an obstruction and I knew he had ingested a foreign object. The veterinarian tech comes in with a proposed bill of over $1,000 JUST for testing, no procedures. One of the pills listed was a 10mg Famotidine (which is an over the counter acid reducer given to humans) for $90!! Long story short, I spent $533 on an x-ray, stat order, and the 'check up'. This veterinarian confirmed he had an obstruction and mentioned a specialist who he recommends. He called the specialist who gave him a quote of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I respectfully declined. I went to the Glendora ER. They had to do ANOTHER x- ray because it had been several hours (so the first x-ray was not even needed, lesson learned). They did the surgery for $5300 5 days after surgery, I called Pet Depot because my dog was vomiting bile and I wanted to know if it's something I should be concerned about. The girl who answered the phone told me that they can't give advice over the phone and that I would have to bring him in. LUDACRIS. That's what already spending $533 gets you. After this experience, I am convinced that this veterinarian along with most others are a complete scam. Don't come here unless maybe you're a millionaire. read more

My fur‍baby loves his Spa day at Katie's. They are friendly and professional and the place is always clean. I use to take my dog to another groomer where my she would be the first dog but she was always there for 4 hours. And stressed when I picked her up. The reason for my change in status is because of a change in management that has changed the whole flow and inventory of the store. This store use to cater to pets beyond cats and dogs. Now it seems that they are weening down to only cater to cats and dogs. It's an independent pet store so prices are more expensive then Petco and pet smart. Came here since it's local to me to get turtle food, water clarifier and goldfish. Spent more than I would have liked but it was the closest place. Customer service is amazing. Very friendly. Asked a question about my turtles and the girl didn't know the answer but they literally looked it up for me! Too sweet. Joined their club and saved $10%! They don't price match (independent store), but they have a lot of cute things. The owner keeps her pet parrot there. It was outside its cage when I walked it. Definitely a pet lover. This is the second time I've been to get my small dog groomed. Everyone is so friendly and they do a wonderful job. Quick as well.

Disappointed came in to buy a 'seat belt' attachment for my dog's harness, which they have the harness, but no matching seat belt. Very poorly stocked store. Then I was checking on doggie wipes. which is $5 more than other places and chewy. i could her possibly a supervisor/manager say match chewy. Then she said no. The salesperson who was helping me, who is very nice, was trying to accommodate. I heard the other person state that this was an independent store and they don't match or accommodate. Sorry, I've been to several smaller stocked stores in the IE, and they have matched prices. No wonder Katie's is well. Not as great as they were a many years ago. I would drive from Rancho Cucamonga to the original location to shop at Katie's. The supervisor/manager who is very snippy could have been a bit nicer.
