Sad Service (Except for Fam.) The Price for "JUNK"is nearly the same as a new part. Watch THEM ! Poor Service is an Upgrade!

BRING YOUR TOOLS. I…read moreshowed up to check it out, and boy oh boy (yeah, that's an expression), is this placed organized! First off, you can actually check for the car / parts on their website. I've gone to another junk yard, and it can be a hit or miss b/c their selection is definitely "smaller" and there's no real accountability on their items. 2) It's organized like I said earlier. There are rows of neatly stacked up cars sectioned off by import or domestic cars. 3) Every car sits about 2 to 3 feet high so you don't need to jack up the car. If you needed to get the springs or shocks for example, it's as easy as it will ever be. Trust me. Lastly, the parking lot is immaculate. Seriously, immaculate. Plus when you walk in, it feels like an Advance Auto Part store with two cashier like registries on the right side (one to check for parts and the second to check your tools and pay the $2 entry fee). And yes, the entry fee is worth it for $2 (and I'm super cheap). BTW, when you do check out, the other side of the check-in point has the actual cash register (i.e. 3 of these) to allow you to pay for their items. Just to illustrate how popular they are, when I arrived on a Wednesday morning about 9:30am, there were 4 sets of people in line with a few others already inside their massively organized "junk" yard. Good stuff. So....bring your tools b/c you'll pull the part yourself so that you can enjoy the plethora of "goods."

I ordered a spare tire for a car and they tried to sell me a wheel that came nowhere close to being compatible. The number and placement of screw holes didn't even match. They had my money and they told me I cannot have a refund. I wish I had cut my losses and let them steal my money at that point. Because it got much worse. Then they asked if I would leave my original wheel with them. They lost the original wheel somehow. I couldn't get out of work so my elderly mother went down there. She's a mild mannered woman but they aggravated her. She didn't tell me the whole story but I think she had to resort to having the Sheriffs office get the original wheel back. My mom wouldn't talk about it. It was that disturbing. I wish I hadn't involved my poor mother. I wish I had just gotten the wheel at the dealership or a tire store. I wanted to save money but it ended up indirectly causing all kinds of family problems due to the mix up. Just very disorganized. I am shocked they never went out of business. They caused me a lot of problems and unnecessary grief. I beg you to go somewhere else. Please. Trying to save money on used parts that may or may not get right is not worth having it affect your livelihood and your family.

It was a nice drive from NOLA to BTR, that went well. Lol…read more I tried to call PRIOR to making the 80.8 mile drive to the facility to ensure 1) the vehicle was still in place 2) inquire of the condition 3) make sure they would be open Memorial Day. Well the answer to the 3rd question was resolved by the website. questions is 1 and 2 remained unanswered. Soooooo in spite of it all I took a chance and made the drive. After all, it was Memorial Day, BTR is not a bad drive and I was interested to see what the outcome would be. I will say this is a great idea. Whoever came up with. It is a great idea. You basically go on the website. See if the vehicle is in place, head on over and you remove the part yourself. There is a $2 admission cost, but if you sign up for the free VIP membership, there's a reduced price. And as a VIP member, your privyy to all sorts of deals that they send you via email or sms messaging. They provide you with wheelbarrows in the event that you have a heavy load to carry. But other than that, this is a DIY and it's best. So bring your OWN TOOLS!!!! Rows and rows of cars. Just imagine a vast wasteland of vehicles, but in a semi ordered fashion. In designated row and even particular spaces ie C304. All are ready to be taken a part as one needs. What I saw on the website versus what I saw in person we're starkly different. It was the Amazon vs Wish version of items. I must admit the vehicle that I was looking at it been there since March 2026 and this is the end of May 2026. So understandably things would be different. But my goodness, there was barely anything left of the vehicle. For your convenience, there's a handwashing station as you exit the yard. I found this to be beneficial, those junked cars are full of grease, grime & stagnant water from the rain. Also, in addition to being able to remove parts there is an area near the front door where they also sell other things. I guess things that they found in the cars, i.e. shoes, purses, etc.. Annnndddd I also found that they sell batteries and used tires. And they even have cars for sale. I did leave with a piece for my car, but not the ones I came for. So the trip wasn't a TOTAL BUST. I would return, maybe not to this particular location as there is one closer to my home, but I do like the idea of being able to find parts for the low-low. And I would also bring a person that is mechanically inclined to help with disassembly of the vehicle part that you need. I found the employees to be pleasant. Not very helpful, there was a sale going on and had I not mentioned it, the cashier was not going to share that information; HOW RUDE... Lol As I left, I heard in my Spirit, one man's trash is another man's treasure. This place truly embodies that adage.

I thought I'd never have to visit a junkyard again but here I am, thanks to owning a rare vehicle…read morethat contains discontinued parts from the manufacturer. I was in search of a driver side door actuator. I actually ordered one from EBAY but it didn't include the floor and trunk manual release. I took a look on Pull A Part's website for shits and giggles expecting them to have every model CTS except a coupe. To my surprise, the Baton Rouge location had a coupe in stock. Now the flip side was wondering if this part was still in the car. I drove an hour by both holding my door closed by hand and tying a strap to it, lol. Pull-A-Part granted me free admission for being a veteran. I arrived to find the part was still there. Now the other flip side was wondering if the part was still operational since you need the vehicle powered to test the actuators and the batteries are removed. You also need to remove the backseat, rear interior panels, and seatbelt to access the door actuator. Luckily Pull-A-Part has the vehicles elevated and spaced out which creates a decent work environment. I didn't even mind the fact that it began to rain. I even removed the passenger side door actuator for when it's needed in the future. Pull-A-Part discourages working on your vehicle in the parking lot. I needed to verify the driver actuator worked so I installed it quickly since my backseat and panels were already removed. I plugged it up and it didn't work. Disappointment was an understatement. Then something told me to pull on the floor release. The chime began to sound after hearing the actuator click. I closed the door and it worked. I did a little dance not caring about being seen, then I quickly hit the road after gathering my tools! P.S. Pull-A-Part only offers store credit. No refunds.
