We loved the spacious floor plans and the access to the four pools(one indoor) and the gym. The commute to the UW and downtown is awesome! It is an older complex but they are constantly making updates. The staff is one of the best perks to this place. They bend over backwards to help in any way that they can. They are quick to respond to any issues that you have. Alexis especially is amazing and we were sad to leave her! We lived here for two years and loved it. We only moved because we wanted a dog. We have no regrets living here!

I've found the staff to be very responsive with issues - we complained about our cooktop having a minor scratch on it when we moved in and they couldn't get a new cooktop for that model so they installed a new range, and upgraded us to a convection oven while they were at it. Had a leak in the bathroom ceiling once and they fixed the cause right away, and fixed and repainted the bathroom ceiling as well. The workout room is nice-- I love the refrigerated towels! The Friday wine events and occasional music events in the common area are great, too. The building is well-located on the edge of downtown so it's not too noisy, but it's close to everything. (Note: there is some construction noise from the next lot over, but that will be done eventually and it's not *that* noisy.) My unit is absolutely gorgeous - windows, windows, windows! Lots of natural light. I'm home almost all the time but I never feel shut in. My unit does have air conditioning; the trick is to turn it on before the day gets too hot and then you're fine. Conversely, on sunny winter days, I don't even have to turn the heat on. Just open the blinds and let the sun warm the place.

The building itself has been great; well-equipped, dog-friendly, modern, and well maintained. We like the floor to ceiling windows and the amount of natural light we get throughout the day. The staff is what I'd expect sets it apart from all the local competition. Whether the leasing/management office (Josh, Abbi, Rebecca) or the facilities staff (Amadeus, Dave); I've already have had a couple of interactions where they've gone "above & beyond" to ensure things go smoothly...we've greatly appreciated it! The property insists on having leaf blowers so loud they are in the 80-90 decibel range and occur for at least 3 hours several days per week. The maintenance requests are completed when they feel like it, and will often require a second visit since they weren't done right the first time. This isn't how anyone should be treated when they pay $4k per month as a tenant. This place does not value your tenancy in any way.

Liking what we saw, we put down our deposit that day. We really love our apartment at Altamira. It has top of the line finishes (granite countertops, etc), and you get way more for your money than you do at Mural. The location can't be beat. QFC and Petco are in the same building and share a parking garage, and we are just 1 block from all of the California Ave. shops and restaurants. The office staff are great and very friendly and helpful. Whenever I've had a maintenance issue, it's been resolved within 24 hours. They are always happy to say hi to me and my dog, and always give my dog treats when we pop into the office. Been here about 6 months, don't really have a complaint yet.
