Very square mall. I have been there since the grand opening nearly eight years ago. It's very modern, spacious, and clean. Not many retail stores, but more fancy eateries for the upper class. There's also an Equinox, which is a famous fancy gym. Everything is almost expensive as Santana Row. Some security guards are walking around on duty. The parking garage is a bit curved when you enter and exit. I only like the Christmas tree area, which is beautiful to look at in the evening, including the water fountain in the kids' area. It's nice to walk around and take profile pictures, but not much to do until the holiday season. Overall, this is great for families to hang out and for rich people to dine in. read more

We attended the Lunar New Year celebration on Sunday, and for the first time ever, I couldn't find a parking spot in the massive garage, that's how popular the event was! Shout-out to the unknown vendor who built the 2026 "Year of the Horse" photo booth. A heads-up: the space availability numbers posted outside the parking garage weren't accurate at all, which made the search more frustrating than it needed to be. It was also tough navigating through the crowds at times, especially because the toddlers in our group couldn't see anything over the crowds. That said, City Center Bishop Ranch truly offers something for everyone in the family. There's a splash pad that's perfect for little ones, plenty of restaurants at every price point for picky eaters, and even fun options for adults- like a DIY cocktail crawl for the 21+ crowd. We once made it our mission to try every margarita on property! I ran into my retired high school teacher, bartending at THE LOT (movie theater). On the shopping front, I do all my Anthropologie returns here, and I've been refreshing my inbox waiting for news about Rico Rico Taco opening here (I'm obsessed with their Oakland location). As for dining, I've enjoyed meals and treats from Slanted Door, Salt & Straw, Roam Artisan Burgers, Philz Coffee, Mendocino Farms, Marugame Udon, Delarosa, and Boba Guys. I still can't believe that sleepy San Ramon now has so many fantastic eateries and experiences all in one place. It's quickly become a go-to meeting place for our extended family. read more

The service was very nice they told basically everything about the City center and the events that came which was very fun.

I was taken aback by how beautiful and spacious this area was at night. The string of shops and restaurants were impressive but more so was the design and overall aesthetic. I enjoyed just taking in the atmosphere and how alive the area was with the crowds without feeling too crowded. The lighting was bright and festive, making the area feel like more than a shared space to house stores but a venue in itself. A nice and fun evening! read more

SEPTEMBER SIPS REVIEW: September Sips is a ticketed event ($30) put on by the Livermore Valley Winegrowers. 12 wineries from the Livermore Valley are represented with a booth at various locations at City Center. You have 2-1/2 hours to walk from booth to booth tasting their wines and sampling food from the various restaurants. One of our favorites was Garre Vineyard & Winery located at Alora Social. They served a Rose with a lamb appetizer that was so yummy. Another location that stood out was Mixt. They offered Thai chicken and Thai tofu samples that were so good. Some locations have seating, but you don't want to sit too long because there are so many to sample. Some wineries offer 2 different tastings (a red and a white), so you're pretty tipsy if you get through all 12 wineries. We managed to hit 9 wineries, and several were good enough that we would visit their winery (since they are not allowed to sell wine at this event). I only wish that the event was longer than 2-1/2 hours because that's not a lot of time to sit and enjoy each wine and food sample. Overall, it was fun way to spend a Sunday, and I discovered some new restaurants to try through their tasty bites. read more

I have mixed feelings about the shopping center. First of all, I don't like the parking at all. Many times you cannot get a close parking spot and you have to go into the garage. It's not a huge deal but adds to the inconvenience. On the other hand, the parking is free of course. And on occasion I do get a spot really close to my favorite business, fieldworks. I have patronized many of the restaurants here, as well as the AR room upstairs, which was a lot of fun. So overall, a mixed experience. I still come here occasionally, but it's not my first choice. read more

We came to this Mall when I went for my wife's tennis tournament. We were in the area for a few days and was able to check out this place and a lot of the restaurants here. This is a shopping mall but it's like nothing I have been to before. It's more of a food mall. The entire lower level is mostly restaurants with a few stores in between. Upon walking around this is a location for kids. They have several vendors here that cater to kids parties, portraits, dress up and classes for young ones. It is a parents dream mall to entertain the kids. Would be a fantastic location when my kids were little. There is ample parking all around the mall so it's easy access to all the stores and restaurants. They have large play areas on the ground level. There are water fountains for the kids to play in. Even an seasonal ice rink. Truly a family place here. It's safe here to. Lots of security guards patrolling the mall. I totally recommend this place read more

Seems like the City Center Bishop Ranch is the place be, or one of them, in San Ramon!! Yes, they have plenty of restaurants and shops, but, from what I could tell from the signs all around, the big open area in the middle holds all kinds of events throughout the year!! This place has 2 levels, with a parking garage and parking all around the outside of this center. When I was here, the big open area was a place set up for kids to play. And although I visited the Nike store here, which looked pretty new, it definitely seems like there are more restaurants here than shops. If there is a 'Downtown' San Ramon, this place has to be at the center of it!! read more

So, we parked inside the lot instead, but were stopped by security when walking out onto that wing. Later found out about the $1M jewelry armed robbery by nearly 2 dozen ppl. Scary to think what if we ran right into that mess if we came earlier?! V I B E S . . . This place would've been dead on a Mon at 4p anywaz. (No pun intended). I have been here many times over the years. Nice modern mall with a good mix of stores , theaters and eateries.

Mostly restaurants here with some high end retailers but small actual footprint. Not much of a destination unless you're visiting a certain store. Alora was a favorite until today so not sure if this will be a destination for us either going forward. read more

Haven't been back to San Ramon for a while, but this shopping/food/hangout location is really popular, and for great reason. Tons of well curated shops for many various tastes. Many restaurants with different levels and types of cuisines, perfect if you're looking to meet up w/ friends and catch up over a beer, or to have a sit-down meal w/ your significant other, with or without kids. The center of the facility is wide open with a splash pad for kids and a large turf/grass area that is covered - perfect for the kiddos to run around and burn off some energy. Plenty of parking surrounds the entire facility on multiple levels. If you're looking for a place to hang out for a nice Saturday afternoon (or better yet, during the weekday when the crowds are smaller), this is highly recommended. read more

Love coming to this area whenever I'm visiting family. I'm from LA so I like to stay near shops and food places. This shopping center has easily become one of my staples when visiting. There's food/restaurants, shops, lots of parking, kid-friendly spaces, and even a Farmers Market (on Saturdays). There's a good amount of parking outside the plaza and a parking structure. Always a fun place to be at on weekends. The City Center has come a long. Way since it opened. Now there are so many shops and it's always bustling on weekends. There's so much to do here. If you're in the mood for a luxury movie theater, then the LOT is a great option. There are many eateries to appease all your cravings as well as that sweet tooth. This is a solid shopping center. I frequent Madison Reed so I occasionally walk through the rest of the area, checking out the stores. Hit or miss with sales. They have a few restaurants as well as a theater. I am not a big fan of the parking. The garage is tight leading to many close calls as people tend to swing wide in the curves. The holidays can be even tougher but they have a cute ice skating rink to make up for it. This is a nice little spot for families with a water feature that is fun in the summer for kids. They also have a nice Christmas tree if you are feeling festive. read more

I usually come here for lunch as City Center is close to my office. When I saw the poster that there was going to be a Smooth Jazz Free Concert Series, I was so curious how it was going to staged because I knew there was a mini water park in the opened space where they said it would be, and we could only bring blankets to the lawn. I got there 2 hours before the concert and saw that there were chairs within the perimeter of the lawn that everyone could use freely. There were also 3 rows of reserved seating for guests who registered at customer service or dined at one their restaurants. In my opinion, the best seats were the 2nd floor, the lawn and on the side where people can move around freely rather than having people stand up to get to those seats. The lawn area had a curtain roof which was great as it gave us some shade as we waited. An employee removed the curtain as the sun set, which exposed many spectators to the glaring sun! They should have just kept the roof curtain up, to even protect those under it from the elements. Great show especially it was FREE! There was also a meet and greet with the performers after the show; lots of space and not crowded at all. It sure was a great way to promote the City Center where there are several shopping and dining options. Free Parking in their garage. They do have a farmers market too every Saturday Morning in a section of their open parking lot. Definitely a great place to hang out! read more

Last night we enjoyed the Smooth Jazz Festival where Jonathan Butler was the featured artist. Of course he did not disappoint. Non stop sweet sounds, in a family friendly venue. Many options for food purchase if you didn't bring your own. Some people brought their own seating blanket spaces filled quickly on the lawn area as some chose to stand on the upper level near the stage. Wherever and however you choose to taken his sultry sounds you were not disappointed. His quiet yet funny demeanor captivated the audience with short stories of travel and connections with his band members including his wife and violinist, Nadira. The concert and parking was free and definitely worth the good time we all had. read more

Bishop Ranch has my fav restaurant right now, Marugame Udon, my fav coffee place, Philz, and my fav store, Nike!!! I love going here because the atmosphere is so beautiful, the kids can play in the center of the mall, it's an outdoor shopping store area. They literally have different selections for food, if your family is dining here, there's so many places to choose from! After dinner, we like going to Salt and Straw for Ice cream, or Boba at Boba Guys! There is outside parking, and a parking garage! It's free, and easily accessible to walk to the stores and back to the garage. I will be back! read more

This shopping center is different. It's clean and has more restaurants than shops. It's very good for people to stay outside, smell nature, and also good for hosting events. I feel like that this place is usually a drop-by area to dine in and pick up food based on the amount of restaurants. There is no Macy's, JcPenny, and Nordstrom. Of course they have a Starbucks no surprise. I like how this place looks technologically advanced due to infrastructure and exterior like we traveled to the future. Roam Artisan Burgers is nestled in Bishop Ranch City Center, located across from Boba Guys on the lower level towards the back of the City Center. The establishment is small with tables that seat 4 and 2 individuals, as well as the counter area where guests can eat. They offer beef, turkey, bison, and veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, side of veggies, bowls of soup, shakes, fries, and a kids menu. I ordered the classic burger with pepper jack cheese, the cheese was an additional $2, and the sweet potato fries. The sandwich was tasty and juicy, the added condiments added to that taste. The turkey was slightly dry. I love sweet potato fries these were crispy and lukewarm. I asked to get a new bowl and they accommodated my request. The new batch was hot and crispy. The bowl of fries can be shared; I was alone so I was able to enjoy the fries solo. The experience was pleasant and I enjoyed my meal. The place was quiet with a handful of patrons and lively music playing. Would I come back, probably not with the cheapest burger being $12.50 and the build your own starting at $11 with toppings ranging from fifty cent to $3 and $15.50 being the highest price for a burger would be a pass for me. read more

What a nice outdoor shopping center/mall that San Ramon has. I walked through this mall today which happened to be Halloween. I saw people sitting around, eating, and drinking. Parents spending time with their children as they play in the designated area in the center of the Bishop Ranch. This mall is also dog friendly, so I saw people taking photos of their dogs dressed up in Halloween attire. All the stores were immaculate and organized. All the high end stores like West Elm, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma. Nike, Gap, Sephora, you name it, it's here. Lots of parking for shoppers. But what set this shopping center apart for me is how relaxed I felt. I didn't feel unsafe and I saw how everyone was relaxed and having a good time. That is something that has been lost in many parts of the Bay Area, including the dumpster fire I call home, Oakland. Just 30 minutes away from thug life and I'm in a modern utopia. read more

4++ A lively retail center that pretty much acts as San Ramon's de facto 'downtown' area. You'll find a good variety or selection of higher end retail stores, recognizable restaurants/ eateries, a movie theater and fun experiences - both temporary and permanent for the whole family. I find myself coming here pretty much every time I visit family in the area. I grew up in the area and there really wasn't anything like this in the area. Now, anytime I want to grab food, coffee, dessert, or even a beer (a brewery I'm fond of is located here), it's just so convenient. Even when I want to hang out with my brother's dog. This place is outdoors so it's also dog friendly. Just keep in mind it could get really crowded and with other dogs. I actually worked in the retail real estate industry for a very long time. In terms of design, I would say this place is straight forward and pretty easy to navigate (it is one large lot/ block). I've been in and seen centers that are like mazes. Tenant mix is good and the lively crowds is evidence that people love coming here. I kinda wondered why the average score wasn't higher so I looked at a few other reviews. One in particular where a person probably works close by so they check in here often gaining the 'duke' title and pulling rank by changing their score from really high to really low because of a change in valet parking prices? Like wut? LoL. That's wild, lol. I've never used valet to park here so I guess I can't speak to the effect the price change has on my temperament I guess. Parking is pretty standard for a center like this. Any busy retail center is going to make the parking situation a little stressful. When it gets really crowded, you may have to park further away and since it's by a business park, that could be challenging. read more

Modern and inviting shopping and entertainment center with a nice family friendly atmosphere, even a water feature to get wet on warmer days and plenty of space and seating at the center of the outdoor mall. There are several fashion stores, home goods, and beauty services, but I'm not big on the shopping here. I've enjoyed the LOT for movies and drinks, and met with some friends this past weekend for some gaming entertainment at Sandbox VR, dinner at Mendocino Farms with healthier food options, and finishing off our day with sweet treats from Salt & Straw. This is my second time coming to this center, the first time I was in a rush and only came for one thing:Boba Guys. But this time I brought my 2 daughters and my best friend. We were able to enjoy ourselves by having an early dinner and afterwards roam around the center checking out what stores were there. Definitely a more upscale type of outdoor mall. It is very spacious and clean. This is an amazing place to bring your entire family. There is a canopy top area covering the turf/grass for shade where we saw some families set up their picnic blankets to watch their kids run around. They have a cool splash pad area where the kids love to gravitate to, I thought it was cool that the water came out in a mist (great way to save on water, even with it being recycled!) One thing...I wish there were a few more clothing stores to choose from, but that's ok. I was able to check out Sephora, Pottery Barn Kids, next time I'll check out GAP. read more

I guess this center is considered downtown San Ramon? It's a newer building with a very central design. All of the restaurants and shops wrap around the center.I'm seeing a lot more chains and mainstream stores in the center, not much mom and pop kind of places, maybe because rent here seems silly expensive. It's got Dumpling Time, Roam Burgers, Maragume, Mendocino Farms, Salt and straw, Starbucks, Peets, Athleta, Anthropologie albeit a small one, Madewell, Nike, Sephora, and a brewery. It's nice when you want to come hang out, walk the doggie, and have your kids bounce around but something about this place doesn't feel warm, maybe it's the steel looking beams and coloring? The food can get pricey as most of it is sit down places but overall it's a nice place to be if you want to bring a family and have them pick where they want to eat. read more

This location has great potential to be great, but when it first opened in 2018, many were and still disappointed. This outdoor mall was trying to emulate a high end showy place with many stores selling expensive boutique items, valet parking, and little to no stores that many locals would want to shop at. Back then, The City Center wanted to be something that it isn't... like the Stanford Shopping Center. They completely missed who there clientele was in suburban San Ramon. Fast forward today, many of those stores disappeared or closed or moved on providing new spots for the Nike store (coming soon), Gap, and new places to eat such as World of Wraps, Curry up Now, LB steak, and salt and straw. I think the developers caught on, that the people in the suburbs enjoyed great food and family oriented stores and now this center is starting to be on par with the community of San Ramon! A good place to stop and enjoy a bite to eat, drink or sweet treat! My favorite spots at City Center are; Boba Guys, Salt & Straw, Fieldworks, C Casa, Sephora and Athleta. I like the emphasis on outdoor seating and the ample parking. I do wish there was more signage in the parking garage because it is easy to get lost while walking to find your car. The Saturday farmers market is a nice touch and worth checking out. I've had Marugame Udon & Curry up Now before, but looking forward to trying them at City Center in the near future. read more

I've been here when there weren't that many businesses actively open and wow has it changed over time. I came here the other night to run an errand and had to park in the parking structure for the first time. Not a big deal - I was actually excited to see what the structure was going to be like. It didn't take me long to find a spot (phew!) I got really lucky on level 2 right by the interior building stairs and a corner spot. The outside interior courtyard area was filled (per usual) with families with small kids. The restaurants were packed with guests dining inside and outside with their large groups and children. There was a giant lit up Christmas tree by the escalators which looked nice.
