When you check in you are required to leave $500 pesos in cash as a security deposit and it will be returned if no damages are incurred. The room we received was clean, quiet, and every room includes a closed garage. They do have quiet hours and will enforce it if you are being too loud. The hotel offers a restaurant. Staff were helpful especially when we couldn't turn on the AC. We learned you need to enter your card key in a key reader next to the door to turn on the AC. Bathroom showers gets plenty of water and it's hot. We stayed here because we were attending a family event at Jardin de Eventos Ajijic which is right across the street from the hotel.

Large room, clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, coffee maker, comp. coffee, a couple of bottles of water. Clean, attractive, gated compound, friendly staff (very little English but helpful). No refrigerator but in January, a cold garage:) Cost Jan. 2016 is $670 MX. Quiet, though not far from the highway. It doesn't show up on your GPS either by address or Points of Interest, until you get out of the village on the way to Hermosillo. When you turn on Industrial, it's a short distance on the right. If you get to the residential roundabout, you've gone too far.

Quality Hotel Americana Nogales - Big dog friendly and a nightly dog fee of $16-- you can't beat it!

Look forward to see what they do. Rumor is they may do something with the bar/restaurant area. As of early 2024, the hotel is no longer part of the Quality Inn or Choice hotel group so reservations through the hotel or booking or Expedia. As of my stay nothing had been worked on but it's clean and adequate, with a fridge and microwave in the room. I'll return in 2025 and update this

Our drive was a long one, so we decided to arrive the night before picking up the pup the next day, and that meant bringing our 90lb airedale terrier along with us-- which ALSO means... we needed a place that would permit him! I always go out of my way to shout-out Big-Dog-Hospitable Businesses... because it TRULY means so much that you allow us to stay intact as a family while out in the world... and Quality Hotel Americana Nogales is no exception with reasonable rates and a remarkably reasonable nightly dog fee of $16! They were completely hospitable, the room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfy and ample, and everyone was content. The lobby is expansive, and a nice place to just decompress, although they also have a nice businesses center/ office, adjoined bar (with Karaoke on Friday nights!!!!), dining room (with a SENSATIONAL complimentary breakfast-- which has it ALL... cereals both hot and cold, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausages, waffles, bagels you can toast, PB&J, bananas, oranges, and mmmmmhmmmm biscuits and gravy that are PERFECT!). Parking is ample and the lot is big, the hotel is a block away from the police station and Civic Center Annex, so there's grounds to walk your dog during the day, though my husband and I were a bit cautious about walking around during the night-- just a vibe we got. Oh yeah... they also have a gym, which has everything you need for a simple workout: treadmill, bike, weights, tv-- I definitely utilized it while I was there and felt soo accomplished! The staff are completely welcoming and helpful. And they loved my Big Dog! (Though they missed seeing my new puppy!) Thanks for a perfectly easy no-brainer stay before our big day!

He has mobility issues and gets around on a motorized scooter. There are several steps leading up to the entrance of Hotel Fray and staff quickly came out, disassembled his scooter, and carried it inside for him. The lobby was tastefully decorated and very inviting with several comfortable couches and chairs to relax in. There is a bar and restaurant attached to the lobby. The young lady who checked us in, Danielle, was very kind and spoke pretty good English. She remembered my friend from the last time he was there. Check-in wasn't until 3 PM but they had at one of our rooms available at 10 AM so I was able to come back and take and nap while my friend was in surgery. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large with a stand up shower. We got 2 rooms for $45 each a night which is a steal. You are only a few blocks from the US border and in the middle of all the shopping, dining, and dental centers that Nogales has to offer. Everything about Hotel Fray was great and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

No overnight parking, so you need to part a half a block away in a lot on Obregon Street or on the US side, which I did for $16 for 24 hours. Two negatives - no desk or table in the room. Weak air- old hotel. The area near the border is getting a little better and a little less sketchy every year. I stay here once or twice a year.

No stars at all but system ask to give at least one. Worst nighmare! Since the moment we got into…read morethe lobby, they had a party on a ballroom to the point that we couldnt talked to the receptionist. I asked if my room will be that noisy because we wanted to rest and they said no, that it was quiet. On our way to our room, beer bottles every where, trash on all hallways. Card to open room didnt work. My room neighbor had a big party, music extremely high, and smoking pot and two more rooms on same were the same. Carpet was dirty, AC. wasnt cooling enough, blinds were broken, no paper towel, coachroaches on the bathroom and the worst was that somebody tried to open our interconnected room door and we had to scream to stopped them, people slamming doors, and hitting walls. We couldnt rest or sleep at all. We called reception to change us room or give us back the money and this was between half hour of being there, they said that they couldnt return our money or change rooms, that it was normal thing on weekends. I specifically asked for a quiet room and they lied to me. We wanted to rest after being in a funeral for 2 days and Mariposa port closed their gates after being waiting in line for more than 4 hours. That was nothing but a damn robbery, they made over 100 dlls in 1/2 hr with us. We had to leave. Some staff were sorry and told us that people on reception make some under the table money by renting rooms to underage kids and to family members to do parties there and used the pool Literally, it was a damn nightmare. Believe me, this hotel used to be decades ago one of the best hotels, but not anymore. DO NOT DARE TO GO THERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. Nevet again we will go to damn thiefs. We decided to leave and get in line at DeConcinni Port after waiting anorher 5 hours in line.
