While I was waiting, the barista told me about the free stickers and engaging conversation with my friend and me, which made the visit very welcoming. I loved the aesthetic of the cafe with its unique decorations and plants throughout the space that gave it a relaxing vibe. There's seating both inside and outside, and they even have a wall of pet photos, which was adorable.

I was able to sit at the end of the counter by all the barista action. Pleasant indoor decor with overhead music, very healthy foliage, some merch including Caffe Vita coffee beans & Macrina pastries for purchase. This indie cafe has the usual espresso bevs, but also popular ones made with banana milk or strawberry milk & fresh fruit purees. Notable are the baristas that were onsite during my visit. Genuinely personable & efficient. Amazed how they work through all the voluminous orders whether for onsite or to go. They have been open about a year. This is an amazing pro tip to not have to drive all the way to Pike Place Market...traffic, parking, risk of items sold out, and with my current mobility issues - this is a major score! I was able to find nearby street parking and joined the queue of folks at the walk up window. I noticed that there were also people seated in the adjacent covered area. This also gave me the opportunity to look at their pastry case with nicely arranged pastries, bagels, and scones from purveyors, including Pufftown Bakehouse. There's also tea, coffee beans, and other merch available for purchase. Pleasant and efficient customer service. My vintage stamp card was no longer valid, but their POS uses the Joe app so I was able to accrue points for my purchases: an excellent well crafted 16oz mocha, and three PB pastries including ham & Wensleydale, spicy chorizo, and blood orange cinnamon. My halves later consumed were fresh and delicious. Glad to be reacquainted again with Cafe Bambino!

What a blessing it is have a place that values people's stories and human connection so deeply. For someone who only recently moved from the East Coast, I feel like I've found such lovely people to connect with here at Avole, because that's just the type of energy it holds! The food and drinks are also fantastic. I typically start my morning now with an Americano, and I'm so impressed by how smoothly it goes down (and how I never seem to have reflux afterwards!). But I've also grown to be a fan of the Hibiscus tea, the Grand Rising, the Sweet Macchiato, and of course, the Mocha. As for food, I'll always be the biggest fan of the Berbere Chicken sandwich, although all the sandwiches are amazing and very filling.
