I am staying at a hotel two blocks away and needed a snack and warm beverage before my dinner and the hotel recommended Leon coffee house. I looked up their yelp page as well as their Instagram and knew I had to come just to get one of their lattes with their amazing foam art! They have a variety of waffles and sandwiches on the menu that seemed appetizing however because I got here after 3:30 the kitchen was closed but they have a variety of pre-made burritos and sandwiches that you could still buy. I love that they have a huge variety of non-dairy milks including soy which is my favorite. I wanted to get the turmeric latte however I mentioned that I couldn't wait to see the foam art and the Baristas told me that due to the light color of the latte, it would be difficult to see the foam art so I instead ordered the red velvet latte with soy and it was as delicious as it was cute! I also got the egg and sausage cheese burrito and it was chock full of eggs and sausage... very filling. The decor and seating options are plentiful upstairs and downstairs. They also have free pineapple infused water for guests to drink which I appreciate. Seems like a popular spot for UW students to do work as there are lots of outlets for their laptops. read more

Very cute cafe with a colorful, pink, lively ambiance and adorable latte art. I ordered a 12 oz latte with a slice of double chocolate cake. I was surprised that the cake was so cheap around $4 but after the first bite, it tasted like it was from a Safeway bakery, which made me feel a bit scammed. The latte was a very light roast, so the coffee flavor was barely noticeable and it felt more like drinking hot milk. On the positive side, the servers were sweet and friendly. It took about 5-7 minutes to get our drinks, and the place was packed around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. read more

Highly recommend the mango latte. It's smooth, strong, and very refreshing with a really nice balance of flavors that makes it stand out. Service was efficient and fast on a Thursday morning. The interior is bright and spacious with plenty of seating, making it a great spot to catch up or get some work done. I love the coffee selections, the beautiful coffee art and that this is BIPOC owned. Representation matters and Leon Coffee House delivers better than any Starbucks I've ever been to--so much so that I've stopped going to Starbucks altogether (not sorry for this change whatsoever)!. I recently went with my friend to Leon Coffee House for a quick chat. It's super cute inside and I like the eclectic decor. The menu is so creative and really shines the latin vibe that the cafe offers. Super cute big cafe! The pink vibe is so cute! Service is friendly but to find places that cater to my specific diet of low sugar- no sugar items is hard. The only sugar free options they really had was the cold brew or the hot tea options. I wanted to try some of their specialty drinks but the options were very, very minimal. I do think that they have lots of potential but may not be specifically for me. It was also a little strange that they gave out tickets for you to come up and get your order. To be honest the experience was average. Blown away by the cafe being soooo cute! Latte art doesn't disappoint and upstairs has a cute Barbie box and swing chair for photo opportunities! However service is a little questionable and food and drink is a bit bland and average. I went in for a brunch around 10:30-11:30am time on a Sunday. I ordered the 12oz horchata latte and chilaquiles with no sour cream and extra salsa. After I got home looking at my emailed receipt I noticed I was charged a whole $1 more for extra avocado??? I didn't receive extra avocado and no mention of that charge being made to my purchase...also never asked for any extra avocado. I felt that was a bit weird and sneaky tbh. Confusing. I should be told if I'm being charged extra for something... Not much avocado even in the dish tbh. It would make sense if I was charged for extra salsa but idk weird...made it feel a bit untrustworthy for me as a paying customer. The food did come out before the drink. Chilaquiles were okay. I finished my plate. Salsa is not spicy and dish was average. Horchata latte was so cute but bland...where was the cinnamon? I am a bit disappointed as I had high hopes but the experience was mediocre being honest. I've tried a ton of drinks here the past few months so here is a review of everything I've tried thus far: Overall I really like the drinks here. Super well priced and relatively affordable. Food appears to be from Costco or made with Costco ingredients. My only complaint is drinks are not very hot. If you take it to go and don't drink it for a while it will get lukewarm fast, but on the bright side, ok to drink immediately. Grab a punch card for a free drink after 10 drinks purchased! Service is impeccable. No issues. Ambiance is casual, great for studying. Fav drinks: mango latte, mocha diablo Mexican mocha: the first time I tried it I thought it was ok and that it could use more cinnamon. The second time around, I ended up liking it more. It's not too sweet Matcha latte: tasted exactly like a matcha pocky. So probably not the best quality matcha, but it was sweet and fun. I'd get this again. Butterfly latte: great butterfly pea flavor! Sweet. I think this would be a great option for kids. Mocha Diablo: It's literally their mocha but spicier, as in it warms the back of your throat and a bit of your tongue. It is amazing to drink on a very cold winter day, which is how I enjoyed it. Super flavorful. I drank this drink SO fast it was so good. 100% would get again Mango latte: wasn't sure what to expect with this but I really enjoyed it! I debated on whether to get it cold or hot (because warm mango sounds gross) but I got it hot and ended up really enjoying it! Mango flavor is not strong but it lends a slight fruity, sweetness to the coffee that was very pleasant. Would get again. Velvet latte: this did remind me of a red velvet cake the first few sips before tasting mainly like sweet milk. Very milky but super cute with the red/pink color. Another good option for kids. Personally would not get this again. Maybe I should try it with a shot of espresso? Americano: great. Just what you would expect. Horchata latte: Good but way too sweet for me. I couldn't detect a lot of cinnamon or almond flavor unfortunately. It is very creamy however and while you can taste the coffee, it's not very strong. Would love another espresso shot in this or make it less sweet. I ended up putting some drip into it when I got to my office. I would not get this one again, sadly. Crema de leche: a little forgettable tbh. I wouldn't get this again Turmeric latte: I add a shot. It was fine. I tasted the turmeric. It would be nice if it was spiced with something else. We discovered this super cute coffee shop near the hotel we were staying at, and I'm so glad that I decided to stop here! I love that the have lots of Mexican-flavored coffees. We came here twice - an oat milk horchata late and a crema latte. Both were delicious! Very smooth, the right level of sweetness. They didn't do latte art with the horchata latte since I got oat milk, but they made the cutest smurf latte art for my crema latte! I was going for two fisted mocha drinking on 2/18/24 after stopping at a CD cafe spot, then went from there to Leon Coffee House. It has been open since Oct 2021, but I finally made a concerted effort to actually to check out this popular UDistrict spot. It was full house, not a seat available on either level on that Sunday afternoon. It was a sea of laptops. So me and a handful of other folks waited patiently for our beverage orders. The decor is deliberately complementary and IG worthy with the high ceilings and plenty of natural light. This is the absolute CUTEST coffee shop in Seattle! How have I not come here earlier?? It's so conveniently located in university district right next to the light rail, has 2 floors of seating, free wifi, clean single stall bathrooms, and the cutest (and delicious!) latte art you'll ever find in Seattle. Did I mention the sandwiches are also delicious? We ordered the Leon blanco which is a white chocolate mocha with mint and the Nutella mocha. All drinks come with double shots so larger sizes = more milk. We got them both with soy milk because the sign said only whole milk and soy milk could be made into latte art. Apparently this is not true because I ordered an oat Nutella mocha to-go later and it still came with latte art. Soy was still delicious though so I can't complain too much. The Brie and ham sandwich was so delicious. Perfectly toasted and came with chips and salsa; reasonably priced at $9.75. Alternative milk costs an extra 90¢. But no extra cost for the extremely cute latte art! Another customer also told me she loves their Horchata latte! The store is also beautifully decorated (look up at the ceiling!) so it's a great study spot. You'll always find students sitting in there studying. The cutest latte art! This place has good coffee and seating. There's even two floors of tables, thought it seems like a really popular place so most of the seating is usually occupied anyways. I came on a Saturday morning and the line was out the door but moved fast. It was a bit of a struggle to find an open table though, as there were tons of students there. We ordered the mexican mocha and taro purple latte both with soy milk, and after a little bit of a wait they came in the cutest little mugs along with a biscoff cookie. I think because the latte art takes a while to make, the drink itself wasn't super hot. Both drinks tasted great though. The mexican mocha had a strong espresso flavor and the right amount of sweetness, while the taro latte had a nice strong taro flavor. My latte art was jigglypuff from pokemon :o The flavor profile was so nuanced with the bright notes from the mango and bitterness from the latte. Creamy, filling and warming on a windy seattle morning! -Bacon Waffle: Soft yet crispy waffle with deviled eggs, syrup, mascarpone cheese, and a bed of bacon bits sprinkled on top. This cafe is super cute, a close walk from my apartment and the bus and is very spacious ! It has both down and upstairs seating. The decor isn't overwhelming but fits the theme of the cafe. Service was quick & friendly. They give you a number ticket and hand it out right by the register. I got the chorizo and bean burrito which might have been a heavy choice for breakfast BUT it was oily at all! There's a very distinct pork fat flavor and a little crunch from the beans.
