Have been here for meetings. Can park in the back after 5 for free. Got in fast, had security. Not much to say.

They have like 3 toilets for the entire venue and you'll spend a chunk of your time waiting in line. I think the restrooms are original to the building (1920s) The sound system looks to be Meyer Leopard arrays with 900-LFCs and Rivage PM5 for the house console - so that's ripping! Only redeeming quality

They really enjoy this! I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. I could see the stage very well, and my seat was very comfortable. The restrooms were centrally located. No waiting. Very tidy. I enjoyed the snack bar and merchandise tables so much. How wonderful we were able to enjoy lovely teaching a meditation from Gen-la Dekyong. She is a no deed none in the Kadampa Modern Buddhism Tradition. She is like the pope of this Buddhist tradition and she's a woman. She's a gentle woman, and she really shares her vast knowledge as one of Geshle's original students in the UNITED kingdom 40 + years of practicing education, tourism . Fun and enlightening!! Such a wonderful evening. This teaching was called "a life without fear " & she gave such profound wisdom with us all. It was nice to see a souvenir on the wall. Pictures in frames of starts that recorders and performed here. Gorgeous!!! I would love to return again.

The woman with the gray hair working at the register, I'm not sure if she is the owner or manager has come across as rude toward me on multiple occasions and has given me uncomfortable looks while I'm paying. I've also personally noticed what felt like different treatment toward some Jespy clients compared to other customers coming in, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome at times she treats the Jespy clients differently. The setup for ordering subs can also be a little confusing, especially if it's your first time there or if the deli is busy. The line and ordering process could definitely be organized a bit better. The service overall could be friendlier and more welcoming. It's also a little pricey, so I don't go there very often. That being said, the food itself is still very good and worth trying if you're in the area.

A passerbyer suggested we visit Overstory, in the same building, and wow, what an experience. There's not too many places you can get an aerial view of the city, especially lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, without it being inundated with tourists... but this is one of those spots. Before entering, you do have to put a card on file with the concierge and there's a one-drink minimum. But after that, they escort you on to the elevator and you enter a funky oasis that is one of a kind. The bar is very reminiscent of the 70s, with a half round bar and stools but there's additional seating both in and outside. When you're outside, and hopefully you'll get there on a nice night like we did, you'll get to see the city in all its glory. The cocktails are good, and reasonably priced, and the staff, in their crushed pink velvet jackets, are extremely nice, as well. Also, get the lobster roll. It's so good. I joked to my friend that this may be my new date night spot. That is if I could ever get a date. Ha.

Had to go in person since I couldn't pay online, I explain why I'm there and she cuts me off mid sentence saying "it's a systemwide issue!" With extreme attitude. I knew I was going to deal with poor manners but good grief this woman was unpleasant. It's not societies' fault this is your occupation of choice! The vile being then processed my 2 camera tickets and sent me to another woman across the lobby to pay for them. The second woman who processed my payment was very nice and pleasant: completely the opposite of the first person I dealt with. This is just a symptom of a greater disease that is state employees working in departments, and a lot of NY city workers as well. They do the bare minimum and give you a terrible attitude when it's completely unnecessary. People generally don't deserve to be treated like that, and so that's why they get this rating.

Memories rush back of friends and family having to rush out to feed the meter during meals. Standing by the meter having my friends go through their change to make the correct payment is a bad memory too. It's true they made the payment system easier than in my youth. It's horrible trying to find a parking spot on the street. If my friends and family spend any length of time in the city a garage is more cost effective. I've lived long enough to know that you can't fight city hall. I wouldn't even attempt to fight a parking ticket. I advise you avoid stress by sending the payment and avoiding this office. Park in Manhattan at your own risk.

I think in the decades that I've visited the city, I've only gone to Wall Street as a tourist once! Yet somehow, during my most recent searches, I came across Mint House and decided to try it out based on the reviews. And boy, we were not disappointed! Mint House is located in an art deco building right smack in the middle of the financial district. I figured it would be quiet, because what nightlife would be around that area, right? Well, it was quiet, but it was fantastic! But it wasn't quiet that nothing was happening. There were still plenty of places to go to within the area. Black Fox Café is conveniently located on the first floor of the building. And there were many food options in the same building as well. From a Michelin starred restaurant to deli. And if you fancy it, you can even head to the rooftop bar! But the real star of the place is the actual rooms of the hotel. We had so much space in our studio that we didn't know what to do with it! We asked for a studio with two beds, and we absolutely loved that the beds were not next to each other. In fact, the other bed was located in a nook far away from the other bed, making it feel like it was a two bedroom space instead of a studio! We even had a full-size kitchen and a dining table for six that we didn't need. This was the first time in the many years we've traveled to the city that we had space to not only put our luggage, but also order in food, bring home food, keep it in the fridge and throw it in the microwave when we felt like it. Mint House is the unexpected favorite place we've ever stayed at, and we cannot wait to go back!
