THEY ENTERED THE ROOM NOT ONCE !!!!BUT TWICE WHILE I WAS UNDRESSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, THERE WAS NO LOCK ON THE DOORS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They talked the entire time during the service.... asking if we wanted to upgrade our service , we heard telephone ring, there was no serenity !!!! We decided to stop the service because they wouldn't give us a time check, therefore we decided to end the service and leave without receiving our foot massage, Lastly, the bed was not comfortable at all. I rated them a one star because I wasn't able to not score them at all. Lastly ,when we paid for the service the guy at the desk demanded a 20% tip. Listen ... I come here strictly for the foot massages. You really can't beat the price. For one hour the price is 30.00 and for a thirty minute its only $20.00. When coming here its either hit or miss. I believe this place has gone through change or ownership a time or two. My most recent experience was disappointing. The room was hot and uncomfortable. I was the only one there so I took it upon myself to let the therapist know, that I wasn't comfortable with the temperature and was starting to glisten with sweat.... I mean com'on we here in Georgia where the weather is hot one day and cold and rainy the next. Its a place of business so the temp. should be comfortable. He act like he didn't know what I was talking about when I was trying to communicate with him (sigh) So the therapist that serviced me is new (I have not a clue his name) and has only been at C.L.M. for a month in a half. If its one thing I can't stand is for a man to have the most delicate touch especially on feet; it was like he had "lady fingers" ... I'm just too ticklish and what pressure he did use felt like he was "digging" ... his technique could use some tweaking. I did try to communicate with him, but I gave up it just got a point it wasn't worth it. The sad part is though his foot work isn't the greatest he was genuinely nice and he really thought he did a good job, because of those two things I still tipped him accordingly and gave a 3 star rating. I can't say that I will be back. I know every therapist is different but I like consistency and someone that I can attempt to see on a regular and expect a good massage so I can walk out feeling like I got new feet. read more

I came here on a weekday at 8pm when my back and body were killing me from the jumpmaster course at Benning. I told them I needed the strongest woman they had that could just break me in half because I was in such bad shape. They recommended the table massage as opposed to the chair massage so i rolled with it. I went into a room and laid down. They had Mia/Miya (unsure of spelling) and told me that if she wasnt strong enough they'd bring in another person. Mia was easily able to tell that my back was tense and worked it out like a pro pushing so hard that she was getting a workout. She was doing such a good job that I extended the appointment from a 60 min to a 90minute. There were also bars on the ceiling so that the masseuse can walk on you if wanted. I took advantage of this. I enjoyed her efforts so much and how much she relieved my back that I tipped her well and will be going back. Between the massage and the walking it was like having a chiropractor and masseuse all in one. The only reason for 4 stars is because most massage places discount their longer massages such as a 60 minute being $60 but a 90 minute will only be $75 where as here it's basically $1 minute. read more

I have been here multiple times and love the ability to walk in with out an appointment. Yesterday I went in for a quick something and ended up getting 30 min back massage for 40$ as stated on board. It was Ok. A lot of of up and down rubbing with oil but not really working out the knots and I also wanted neck but due to language barrier I don't think I was able to communicate that because my neck got zero attention. The massage was more just having someone hands on your back rather than truly therapeutic. I thought "oh well this is only 40$." So he runs my card and there is a $2 transaction fee which is 5% of my bill. Most fees are 1.5%. Then they move this little piece of cardboard to expose a sign that reads 'mandatory gratuity 20%' that is 8$ making my 30 min massage 50$. I was not happy. I was going to tip him 5$ because the massage was not amazing. I don't even know if it is legal to require people to do that. So after reading other reviews, I am looking for a new fast food massage place. I don't appreciate the pushy, forceful attitude. read more

My 28 week pregnant wife just went in for a massage and was harassed by an employee of city life massage. There was clearly a language barrier issue here that the male employee escalated to harassment. She tried to get change for a $20 in order to leave a tip, he gave her change, she tried to give him a $10, and then he began yelling at her for the $20. $20 would be a handsome 33% tip. She tried to leave the situation and he then tapped her on the shoulder while yelling at her. I don't appreciate the fact that I just got off the phone with a crying wife. I decided to leave a review instead of coming down there and giving him a piece of my mind. He pisses off the wrong husband and he'll get his teeth knocked in. Do you need a massage license in Georgia? I've had a lot of massages in my life but this was the worst. I was never asked if I had any particular area to focus. I never filled out consent forms. I am extremely disappointed. I have always enjoyed this place and gives a decent message. Even though the beds are extremely uncomfortable, I love the ability to just walk in. Today, the man yelled at me for not leaving a tip...or either not leaving enough tip. I am still unsure since he didn't speak English. Regardless, I do have the right to not leave a tip if I feel. However, I always leave a tip and was trying to leave $10 for a $60 massage. I needed change for a $20 bill. I then tried to give him $10 from that change. Which means he had $70 in his hands. He then said no no tip and gave me back the $10. I was confused and tried to explain I was trying to give him $10. He then took the $20 from my hands and said that was his tip. After a few exchanges of money painfully trying to explain I didn't want to leave $20 and was trying to leave $10, some lady just came out and said it was ok and to leave. He was raising his voice and basically yelling at me the whole time. I felt bad because In the end he didn't receive a tip. We just exchanged $20. I went back in and tried to pay with a card and asked for the cash back and I could leave the tip that way and he could understand a little better. He didn't understand and just told me to leave. I am still confused as to what happened and it appears he was not happy with the $10 tip and wanted $20. Hopefully, someone that speaks English can explain to the man that I was trying to give him $10, but he gave it back in the beginning and I think it was just a miscommunication. A friend and I are visiting from California for a business trip. And on our day off we tried to find the best place to get a massage. We fell upon city life because it's near our hotel and let me just start by saying FANTASTIC. We had deep tissue massage was absolutely by far the best I've ever had and Swedish massage my friend got and loved every minute of it for Massage therapists.. But - both times when I went to check out, I went to pay with a credit card, and both times, I got a look from the person (a different person each time) that said they were annoyed with me for using a credit card. Yes, I get that it charges them a little to process a card, but they make that back by charging you $2 to use the card, so why the face? Both times they completely ruined a great relaxed feeling I had post-massage by making me feel guilty just because I don't feel comfortable carrying around that kind of cash. Seriously, you charge me $2 to use it, you're making your money back, I'm not hurting your business or being disrespectful somehow, stop the guilt trips. I stopped in for a massage without an appointment. I'd been having ALOT of tension in my shoulders, one side even felt like a pinched nerve. I told the receptionist that I wanted a 60 min deep tissue massage as I was having issues. My masseuse came in and I told her my problem areas and to not go easy. Go if your expectations are not high.. Booked an hour foot massage. I was seated and left to soak in tepid water with the door to the hall and the door to the reception left open so it was not relaxing to hear the phone,doorbell, conversations and comings and goings of patrons and staff. Then my massage consisted of too much repetitive attention on my legs and hardly any on my feet with an inadequate amount of pressure. I finally asked that the doors be closed but they were left open and the phone rang off the hook. My "therapist" stopped my massage and got up 4 times to answer phone and front door.. After 30 min of this I cut my massage short with some difficulty..I wasn't understood so an English speaking person was brought in.. Then upon checking out the receptionist (who was finally there) actually snapped at me to Include a tip..So I didn't.. I left feeling more stressed than when I arrived. read more

This was the most uncomfortable professional massage I have ever received. I almostwalked out in the middle of it but thought maybe I was overreacting but since talking to my husband about it, it seems like I am justified in my feelings. First of all, I didn't know anything about them, I had had a hard day at work and was driving around looking for a massage place that was open late- their hours are amazing and they take walk ins. I walked in, asked if they had any avaialability for right now and they did. The girl then walked me to the back, pointed to a restroom and asked if I needed to use it, which I did and was impressed she thought enough to ask about that. (I am pregnant and have to pee every hour it seems). The decor was very modernand clean, also a plus- I was really excited after my first few minutes of being there. When I got out of the restroom the girl that greeted me at the door was standing outside a room waving me towards it, another woman was in there- they indicated for me to get undressed, lay on the table, and that she'll be back in a moment. (Both Asian women with limited English vocabulary but still able to get their points acoss). The table was covered with two sheets with a towel folded up at either end of it so I undressed, crawled under the sheet, and rested my head on one of the towels. When the woman came back in, she took the (regular sized towel) by my feet, covered as much of my pregnant body could be covered with it, and took the sheet out from under it. She then proceeded to instruct me to lay on one side or another while she massaged part of my back then the other. I understand that there were more logistical technicalities because I am pregnant and unable to lay on my stomach but it was cool on that room and I was nowhere near completely covered up. If my massage therapist had been a male i would have walked out immediately. It was hard for me to relax because of my exposed naked body parts and relatively cool extremities. The massage itself was very light- overall by the end of it I felt more loose than when I came in but the massages I prefer are so rough they make me feel like a beat up pile of mush by the end of it- even after asking her to go harder she only went a little harder. One other thing I did appreciate was after she finished my back, before flipping me over, she got some hot, damp towels and hot stones to help get some of the oil off of my back as well as was an unexpected relaxing surprise. When she laid me on my back she did the typical head/neck/arm/hand massage then moved down to my legs. To do my thighs she got on her knees at the foot of the bed, massaging both of my thighs at once while leaning over in a manner too sexual for my preference- I would bet money if I were a male she would have offered me a happy ending just from the position that she took. Also, to top it off, I guess because they offer a special for foot massages- she didn't even touch my feet! Overall, I may go back to try out one of these foot massages because it seems like a very good deal at the moment but I will definitely bring someone with me. I will not be receiving a back massage from them ever again and am sure to tell all of my friends about this surprisingly terrible experience. read more
