I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Goldfine at City Line Dentistry. Another dentist at a different dental office recommended that I get a crown. After taking x-rays and photos and an oral evaluation, Dr. Goldfine determined I did not need a crown. I appreciated his honesty and his thorough explanation of why it was not needed. Dr. Goldfine is personable, has a good sense of humor and is very knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Goldfine and he is well worth the trip from Center City to City Line Avenue. read more

My dentist at Rittenhouse Smiles no longer takes my insurance so I missed my 6 month cleaning. I called the morning off to ask City Line if they had any openings and they fit me in for an appointment in 10 min! Fortunately I live across the street. The entire office is super clean and well designed. The staff is outstanding, the dental hygienest was super gentle and thorough and Dr. Goldfine is incredible, super smart and makes you feel comfortable. I wish I had been going to this practice since I moved to this area! Soo happy with my care and highly recommend their practice. FYI make sure to enter from the right side of the building. read more

I absolutely love this office. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile from the front desk clerk who always greets me by my first name. The wait time is not long at all. The dentist, Dr. Goldfine, always greets me with a handshake. Dr. Goldfine has such an bubbly personality which helps ease the anxiety of going to a dentist. As far as my appointments, I get reminders via email, text and phone call. The office is clean and there is plenty of parking. Because of my work schedule, it was important for me to have a dentist who stays open late. I was able to get a 5pm dentist appointment recently. Definitely would recommend! read more

I had the best dental experience ever today. Typically I do not look forward to getting dental work done. My experience with previous dentists included noisy drills and you can still feel them working on you. My experience today was painless and impressive. I had a filling put in and was provided a piña collada flavored topical antiseptic. The dentist then dumbed the rest of that side of my mouth. He started a conversation with me to make it spread faster. Not only did I not feel the drill to fix my tooth, I never felt the needle when he numbed my mouth either. I was very impressed. This is only my second time at this dental office and I would refer them to anyone. They also send email and text message reminders about appointments. The dental hygienist is hard to book so you have to schedule a few weeks in advance for that appointment and don't miss it or you will have a long wait. In fact I am relocating but plan to still come back to Garber Dental for my cleanings and other work. Good dentists are so hard to find. read more

I visited several dental offices and I can tell you it is so hard to find a good one. I don't even remember when I started to visit Garber but after 1st visit, I always recommend them to all my friends. They spend time to let you know the condition of your teeth even it is for teeth cleaning. My hygienist is Ms. Lee(sorry, I only remember her last name) spending enough time to explain the way I brush my teeth is wrong. (yes, keep laughing, I know! I didn't realize it until she told me) Every time I come here, they will compare my condition to previous visit, and check with me if i have any question or concern. Even though I already moved away from their area, I am still willing to drive 40 minutes to their office. Yes, they are that good. read more

I visited Garber Dental last night for a cleaning for the second time. I arrived early and another patient no showed so I was taken to the back to get started early! My hygienist was Lee and SHE IS AMAZING!!! I have been locking for a dental office to call "home" and I have found it! Lee was engaging, patient and so real. Some people.. like myself don't really like to hear that I'm doing a bad job lol but Lee told me in a away that made me want to make sure I did it better. She took time not only to show me the proper way to brush and floss but also explained why!!!!! I will follow Lee wherever she goes and hopes that she stays at Garber!!!!! read more

Best dentist I've ever been to. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and accommodating. The front desk staff is always welcoming and the technicians are very nice and, more importantly, gentle! Dr. Goldfine is a warm and caring doctor that always takes his time and never makes me feel like just another patient. First off, I'm a little uneasy giving this 3 stars. I was with Dr. Garber for about 5 years. I always the found receptionist excellent and the dental hygienists very friendly and great to talk to. Dr. Garber is a good dentist and if your insurance covers him and you have no other option, you can go to him, you will get your teeth clean and taken care of. The reason I am giving this 3 stars is the reason Dr. Garber is no longer my dentist. Early on during the 5 years, Dr. Garber recommended that I have my wisdom teeth pulled out because they were too far to reach to clean. This would require an oral surgeon to remove the teeth. My parents, who are doctors, recommended that I ask a second opinion from my brother-in-law's dad, who is also a dentist. My brother-in-law's dad thought the procedure was unnecessary and these was his words, "No oral surgeon in Long Island(where my brother-in-law dad practices) I know of would perform this surgery." My feelings were I am not in any pain right now, I have no trouble eating and if my wisdom teeth become painful or impair in any way, I would get the operation. For anyone who has surgery, you know it is not like getting a haircut. It takes money, time for the operation, time to recover. It's quite dramatic stuff and if I do this, this better be really really necessary. I saw Dr. Garber next time I saw him and told him what another dentist, who happens to be family, thought. He wouldn't hear it of it. Needless to say, he wasn't happy with the part of an "No oral surgeon in Long Island would perform this surgery. " But I thought not much of it and thought the issue would drop. But it didn't, for the next 5 years, even though nothing bad happen to my teeth and my wisdom teeth didn't even feel a sign of pain, Dr. Garber would bring this up on all my dental cleanings. He even have the hygienists push it. Where at least the hygienists and receptionist would engage me in conversation about my day and what I was doing, the only words from Dr. Garber was pushing the operation and he said in a tone, that made it sound like not doing the operation was like not brushing my teeth and flossing. Whether I argued it a little or did nothing and just ignore it, the issue was constantly brought up by him or the hygienist. Since I went on Yelp and became a Yelp Eliter, I decided to give another dentist that was highly rated on Yelp a try. I did not tell him about my wisdom teeth. When the check-up was over, I ask him about the wisdom teeth and if they should be removed. He ask, do you have pain or trouble eating? He said no, no need to get those remove immediately. So, there 2 dentists did not see this as mandatory and one of them, again, happens to be family. Dr. Garber is entitled to his professional opinion and disagree with me and the 2 dentists. But there is a time for opinions and when someone of the same expertise and happens to be family disagrees and not having the operation is going to damage my teeth beyond repair, its time to put it aside and get on to other stuff. He couldn't. Even after 5 years of being a loyal patient, he was never "Thank you for coming in these 5 years", it was "Get those Wisdom teeth removed!" Dr. Garber is a good dentist, but when he has made his point and I have chosen not to agree, he needs to back off. He didn't and so I am with a new dentist. read more

These people lied to my husband, implicitly lied to me, and wasted my time enormously. I have been searching for a dentist who does not require X-rays, and was excited when my husband came home having discussed this with Dr. Garber and his hygienist, reporting that their policy is as follows: if I am willing to get them once per year, that would be nice, but they don't really push it unless it has been three years. Even then, he said, I can just sign a release and not do it. (My husband voluntarily got X-rays because he has serious dental problems.) Since I got an x-ray elsewhere a year and a half ago, this meant I had at least another year and a half before it was even a major discussion. I immediately called and told the receptionist that I was excited to hear that they don't require x-rays, and wished to make an appointment. I went ahead even though they are not open on my day off, thinking that it was worth it to squeeze them into my work week if they were so great. Fast forward to the day of my appointment. I arrived on time, sat in the exam chair, and had the dentist (Dr. Garber's partner, Dr. Filip) walk in and tell me, as if he were reading from a script, that he could not treat me if I were unwilling to get the x-rays. I literally had to cut him off from his rehearsed speech to ask him to get to the point, which is that what my husband was told, and what the receptionist did not dispute when I used it as a preface to my scheduling the appointment, was untrue. Hence, I was actually forced to leave without an exam. If you like x-rays, great. There are other, honest dentists who will give you an x-ray. My choice is meant to be for me, not you. I've been going to Garber dental for 5 years now. When you walk in, they are always very friendly. You almost will immediately be taken back for your cleaning. The cleaning is always about as comfortable as it could be. It is both relatively quick and thorough. Both Dr. Garber and Dr. Goldfine are very nice and are very good. I've had a couple of fillings which were easy to schedule and very straight forward. Overall, this is a very professional dentist office and I highly recommend them! read more

He worked with precision, efficiency, and showed why he's the best in the business. His staff was unbelievably friendly and professional. It's my first time visit and I have already scheduled my second appointment. Amazing staff!!! Super amicable and just laid back. I had a cleaning done by Dr. Goldfine and Lee. Prior to the appointment they had obtained all my information. They sent me email and text reminders as well. Today, someone canceled and they called and asked if I could come in earlier and luckily it worked out great. I just like how peaceful it feels in that office. There isn't that consistent pushing around for products or treatments. Actually I was the one who mentioned that I wanted to whiten my teeth and they said oh sure no problem we can tell you all about it. I have been to some offices where it feels like a marketing seminar at points. This is a small, modern facility and extremely clean and organized. I definitely recommend them! Give them a call and see if they accept your insurance or out of pocket. Either way, you will be getting top of the line service with a great team. Marianne and Karen were also so attentive and sweet when I first walked into the office. Overall, this is how you are supposed to feel when you go get your teeth cared for. Going to the Dentist is traditionally a very daunting and scary experience no matter who you are. It's hard to find someone in the Philly area that you can really trust to be gentle with you, have an extraordinarily clean work environment and an A+ staff. This is why I was thrilled that I found Garber Dental. Dr Goldfine is young and humorous and looks out for the patients first and foremost without trying to just find any excuse to tack on unneeded procedures for you to pay like I feel many dentists attempt to do. I had a gaping cavity that at last 2 dentists simply tried to put a band aid on while Dr Goldfine explained the gravity of my situation through explicit detail and gave me a step by step process of what he needed to do and when he was going do it as I was actually in deep concern of losing my tooth without him. The procedure was as painless as can be and entertaining as Dr Goldfine and his assistant Karen were quite a dynamic duo through their hilarious banter. You just wanted to laugh half the time rather than realize you were actually deep in the middle of a dental procedure. I write this detailed review as I just simply never had this "good" a time at a Dentist's office and thrilled that I finally found a comfortable environment to wash away all of my preconceived dental notions and fears.
