I have been to this location about 4 xs and there's only 1 gentlemen that can do nails well. The rest are hit or miss and the pedicures are okay but your finger nails - they will leave you disappointed. They've made them way too thick each time so I won't be going back for that. And in addition to, one broke the next day and the other 2 days later! They do have a 3 day policy for nail fixes but I was afraid it would do more harm than good. read more

I've been coming here since I was about 15 (26 now) to get a pedicure from Nicki and every time she always does a fantastic job and she takes her time! We also have lots of conversations about family and I bring my mom in with me the get her pedicure by nicki as well! I also have been consistently getting my nails done by Sophie for over a year now and have nothing but high praises. She is the most detail oriented nail tech i've ever had! She takes my inspiration pictures and always makes it better than the picture. If she doesn't like the outcome during the process she will start over until it's up to par with her standards. The atmosphere in the salon is calming and serene. They also offer free beverages and throughout the year they do deals and free gifts! The owner Cindy goes above and beyond and makes everyone feel welcome and she remembers our names and who we are when we come back! Overall a 10/10 for me! read more

Ladies please please please be aware when using your card to pay for nail & spa services. I took me and my daughter to @City Nails & Spa of Snellville on Sunday. She got a gel fill in and I got a full set acrylic and a Pedi. I was charged 160$. I paid 138.01$ on card & was going to do the rest in cash. When doing the transaction Jim the front service guy, husband of the owner, CindyKimDuong, didn't understand the split transaction and immediately called his wife over. She told me that she didn't receive the payment of 138.01 when it clearly showed in my account details it did and she asked me to pay with another card and I told her I didn't have another card. Upon waiting she returns back to her nail customer and tells me maybe I can figure out another way to pay bc it didn't go thru on her end. So, after 45 mins waiting on her to come back to the register I take it upon myself to transfer monies from one account to the next and I again pay her 100$ on my debit card and $60 in cash and 10$ tip for those that did our nails so that was $170 so now a total of 308$ was truly paid for a full set acrylic gel nails, fill- in and a pedicure. When I woke up Monday and seen that Cindy did indeed receive the 138.01 from my other card, I immediately contacted them. Jim, her husband, answered the phone and said oh ok yeah I will give her the message. Keep in mind it's her husband so they live together and she had enough of time that day to call me if she planned. So, guess what Cindy failed to call. So, again I call back today Tuesday ask for Cindy and guess what, it's Jim but this time he states no I will contact Cindy I told you I have her the message and she will get to you. I immediately ok I see where this is going. So, I contact my bank again and they tell me that a dispute can be filed but it's important to get a case number to expedite things or try to go to merchant if it local and see if their willing to just reimburse me. So, I go to the nail salon and immediately you can see he's pissed but guess what I am too bc y'all are taking from my kids and think it's ok and if this is truly a place of business why wouldn't you just give my money back. But bc now he see I'm calling the police out to make the report he wants to starts screaming at me to get out and threatens me with a trepass warning lol... And I tell him no I will not leave until an officer comes. He gets mad and comes up to me and opens the door telling me to get out all while Im recording him as well still on the phone with the operator bc she's asking me by his yelling is he being physical. So, obviously she hears him and finally I scream leave me alone dude I can't hear and I'm not f***ing getting out period till an officer comes. So, I look and see the officer and waves him down from the window. He comes and gives my case number and now Mr. Bigg is sitting calm as can be no threating no screaming or nothing, just give him that i.d sir. So, the officer was shaking their heads as I showed them the videos and all the receipts and all he can say Jim is she can just handle this with her bank instead she's taking it overboard and meanwhile another officer comes and all the nail employees flees and goes into Kroger I'm thinking is everyone ok or do I need someone else to come out and make sure this business is legit and the workers are running business legally. Soooooo if you know me you know me. Small claims court till be no more City Nails & Spa totally until court, y'all will see me.... TLDR; this is an OK spot to get your nails done if you're in the area. My visit was in the morning just before 10 so we were among the first to show up for services. At the front desk you'll see a sign-in/check in list but we didn't have to sign at all. I'm assuming that's for their busier times in the afternoon/night. When you walk in you'll notice the typical seating: a row of desks in the middle of the room for manicure services and spa massage chairs lining the walls for pedicures. I loved the three children's chairs set up for the little ones getting a manicure/pedicure. They were in the shapes of animals like a bunny and a bear... Nice touch! I was only getting a pedicure this time and we were quickly seated in a massage chair. There was no offer to help set up the chair get it turned on, but luckily this wasn't my first rodeo and I knew what I was doing. My feet were left soaking in the basin for a while until finally a tech arrived about 10 to 15 minutes after I sat down. They weren't busy by any means so I am not sure what the hold up was? Unfortunately there was no luxury here. I was never offered a water or drink of any sort and the technician didn't even tell me her name. This is sort of common practice, right? I gave her the color that I wanted, my summertime Cajun shrimp by OPI. She never asked me what pedicure number I was interested in, I just assume she gave me the same service that my mom ordered... Which I think was a number 4? The pedicure itself was fine. It lasted about an hour and 15 minutes and the menu book said it should last 35 to 45 minutes. Not so sure what took so long... but then again she did start a little bit later and the service still took well over an hour. The paint job was OK, it wasn't perfect. There's a little bit of excess nail polish on my toe when I left but that will wash off. I let her know that I had bruised one of my toes and she didn't pay much attention to it so there were some points in the service that I was uncomfortable/pained. Overall the service was really nothing to write home about my toes are painted and a pretty color... But they really don't take service to a next level here. My sister ts me that they recently had a few changes in management so maybe they're still working out the kinks. She seems to have a great experience every time she comes but my guess is she gets the same technician every time. I'll likely be back just because of my sister's loyalty to this particular salon but I didn't have a five-star experience this time. read more

I am highly upset for the lack of care of my time and the lack of professionalism I received here on my last visit. I usually do not write reviews but I do think others should know about my experience. I have never been the one to complain, I Normally don't mind accommodating to circumstances but this last time was horrible. I made my appointment with Jay for 4:30pm on Wednesday I called at 4:20pm to let them know I would be maybe 5-10 mins late due to traffic being hectic. The receptionist said oh no problem that would be okay and that I should come for my appointment. I made it there at 4:41pm she instructed me to have a seat and I would be seen shortly. While I waited my 3 year old got her toes and nails polished as that is our routine. I patiently waited for jay to arrive, around 5:35pm when he hadn't made it, I asked the receptionist was he still coming and if was okay for me to walk next door for a minute and she said yes as she tried to call Jay with no answer. She then made a phone call to maybe the manager or owner to inform them that Jay hadn't made it for any of his appointments and that this is a pattern and she would no longer be book for him. I then walked out to the hair store picked a few things and walked back. When making it back my nanny said Jay had just arrived around about 5 mins ago. I take my seat and I look over and he is preparing to do another clients nails that walked in long after me. Of course I was like okay maybe bc I was gone five mins that maybe the issue. Again I patiently waited my turn after Jay is done he finally acknowledges me and asked what I wanted I started to explain and asked him to retrieve my phone that was charging behind the counter. After passing me my phone I proceed to show him the photo I would like he walks off to get another client and sits her beside me and proceeds to do her nails as if I hadn't been waiting for him for over an hour. At this time it is 6:23pm he then turns to me to say, you think you can come back tomorrow she was my 5:30pm and I'm not sure if I can get yo you just come back tomorrow. Remind you my appointment was for 5:30pm. I then look at him and say no I cannot come back tomorrow my schedule is full for tomorrow and I am leaving for out of state business. He then brings up the fact that the receptionist didn't call him until 4:50pm which had nothing to do with me. When I called you to say I would be 5-10 mins late I was told he wasn't there yet anyway and it would be fine. Instead of apologizing he blamed me after I had been sitting there for hours waiting on him. This is definitely not my first time with Jay and he is always late sometimes an hour late, so I knew this was an excuse because he is never on time. I usually book with Sophie because she is great with nails, customer service and being timely. Sophie was sick unfortunately so I had to book with Jay who is equally qualified as Sophie it's just his time management is horrible. I ended up leaving at 6:41pm with no nails, toes or eyebrows done after basically being told to come back tomorrow or basically trying to pass me on to another busy nail tech that was booked as well. I am livid because not only was my time waisted but the lack of professionalism from him really upset me. Instead of taking the blame for his actions he blamed me a long time customer, because he didn't want to stay an hour over to accommodate me after I was sitting waiting for him for all that time. They definitely lost a customer in me. Although I'm sure they do not care I will never ever go back to this place. I will definitely miss Sophie but I feel that a place I spend over 200.00 in every two weeks would at least have the decency to apologize. Before leaving I paid $12.00 for my daughters nails and I then asked to speak to a supervisor but everyone pretended to not speak English at that point. I'm so upset my only off day was waisted. Lesson learned support businesses that appreciate you. I know loosing me probably won't hurt them one bit, but hopefully I can save someone some time by telling them to pick another salon that cares about them and their hard earned money and precious time. read more

I went to have my eyebrows micro bladed last week on Wednesday,on April 10,2024 which is seven days from today. I had to go back today because the tattooing was already starting to fade and my right eyebrow is darker than the left eyebrow due to technician shaving off my eyebrows. Who does that? I was told by another technician that you don't shave off the eyebrows you just clean up the area when you enhance your eyebrows, not shave them off to put tattoo ink in its place. You can clearly see where she shaved it off because now my hair is growing back.. the point I'm trying to make is that I should not have had to go back to get it touched up because the eyebrows weren't dark enough. She said she was trying to give it a natural look but even with the color of look, I would have to use an eye pencil or powder to make the eyebrow look full. Technician said that a lot of technicians do this so that you have to come back to pay for touchups before your scheduled time. If it's supposed to last one to three years there's no reason why seven days later it looks like I haven't had my eyebrows done.. read more

I was there for 2 and a half hours only for them to spend 30 minutes on my nails. There was employees just sitting around. And this is just my second visit here. The first time the only bad thing is that my nails were chunky and looked nothing like how I wanted them. This time they bounced me around 5 different employees. It doesn't even look like what I wanted. I wanted nude that fades into white. I got pink with white tips. The shape is completely off. All the nails are uneven. The nails are chunky. And my sister who speaks Korean heard them complaining about me multiple different times because you could obviously see that I was unhappy. The experience is terrible. I went into this salon yesterday after my regular salon was booked for the day. I asked for a basic pedicure and a full set of SNS nails. They sat me down for the pedicure first - didnt ask if the water was warm enough. I had to ask her to up the temperature. She was extremely rough with my feet and dug WAY too deep into my skin when clipping an ingrown toenail. I now have an infection in that toe and am in a lot of pain. To top it off, she did my nails too and they are not at all what I asked for. I called the manager this morning to tell him about my experience and he told me to just soak my toe in salt water and it should be fine. He did not apologize or offer me a refund. He simply acted as if this was not his problem and I was silly for calling. I will be filing a charge back with my bank for these services. read more

I can overlook the saggy chairs, the unclean plexi-glass and even how people who come in after me are sometimes assisted before me. What I can't overlook is their utter lack of professionalism, customer service and empathy. I had a 4:30 Friday appointment. The tech was busy and couldn't take me at my scheduled time. They asked me if I wanted to run errands! No! They rescheduled for the next day at 9:30 AM. Oh...their bad. There was a mixup and they couldn't take me! Now the tech gets involved and he said he will open up the salon early for me--Sunday at 9:30 AM. It's 9:56 and I'm still waiting to get in! And they have my effing number!! Why didn't they call?
