I'm very disappointed in my visit today. I've came here for years and have been completely satisfied but today, I left limping in pain. The lady doing my pedicure made me bleed twice. The 2nd time, the drill took off a chunk of my skin on my pinky toe and she had the audacity to put alcohol on it. I was almost brought to tears in agonizing pain. The polish was even all over my toes and not cleaned up. I'm scared to ever return. The pictures don't even do it justice for the swelling and pain that has occurred. I have never been to this salon before, but I needed my nails done late in the evening at 7 PM. I called the day before and they schedule my appointment with Mina. However, when I arrived, I believe Ivy was my nail tech. The nail tech was not friendly, immediately had an attitude when she saw she was doing my nails, and I can tell she wanted to go home. She finished my nails too fast and therefore did not pay any attention to the manicure or detail. The shape of my nails are uneven, and I had marks on my nails the same night of getting the SNS manicure. I would have gone back the next day to fix it, but I had to go out of town. UPDATE: I went back in to get my nails fixed after receiving the fill-in that I was not pleased with. I was paired with Tommy and he did an exceptional job! My nails look much better. I got the same color and he reapplied the acrylic and gel. This set looks so much better than the set in this initial review. Initial review: Went in for my first fill-in after the French tip set in the initial review. When I arrived, I checked in and requested Tommy as my nail technician on the tablets at the front desk. Im not sure if he wasn't available at the time, but I was paired with Julia as my nail technician instead. During my service, I asked Julia to remove the initial color I chose because the gel polish was too thick and the paint made the nails look wavy, not crisp. I chose a second gel color and it looks decent. However, there's a keen difference in the technique and how the acrylic and polish were applied to my nails. Even when checking out there was left over gel polish on the skin of my fingers. There's a difference in the quality of work the technicians here provide, and I'm honestly not impressed with the service I received today. read more

I wish we could give half stars. I would give them a strong 4.5. This was my first visit and I for sure will be back! They have a lot of great options in the way of pedicures and most of them are cocktail themed and actually come with the cocktail! It's a very large salon with MANY techs and stations. Everything looks fairly clean and hygienic. I didn't have an appointment and as a walk in on a Friday, I was seated immediately in a pedicure chair and introduced to Lisa. Lisa doesn't appear to speak much English but we managed. I chose the Champagne pedicure because it was eucalyptus scented. I have some allergy issues with citrus and this was one of the few I saw that had no citrus included. Which is fine because I love eucalyptus. The pedicure was $60 plus $8 for a big toe design of a snowflake. The pedicure options range from $30 to $88 I think? I would've liked to see some of the more deluxe pedicures offer hot stone instead of paraffin. I really don't care much for paraffin so that alone prevented me from trying any of those. Maybe next time I will ask if the paraffin can be substituted for the hot stone. The massage during the pedicure was pretty good. It lasted a while which was very unexpected. My only suggestion is to do the longer massage at the end with oil or lotion versus doing it with the scrub. My legs were a little irritated by the end of it because having salt or sugar being pressed into your leg for 15 minutes starts to hurt after awhile. Maybe a quick one or two minute with the scrub and leave the longer one for the end before polish so the people can relax and enjoy versus just try to get through it. I was surprised after the pedicure was over that I then found out I could've had the callus removal with the cheese grater which I really prefer. This was not offered to me during the pedicure at the pumice scrub time and I for sure would've agreed to it but it wouldn't have been right for me to ask for it after the pedicure is finished. Don't get me wrong, once I saw the cheese grater and asked, Lisa did offer to do it, but I wasn't going to make her do it after the pedicure is pretty much at the polish point. I asked for a snowflake on the big toes. They look ok from far away but when you look closer it's not really a snowflake but an asterisk. I did notice her hand shaking when she started to draw it with the paint. So not sure she was confident in doing the artwork. It's fine and it will do for a couple weeks, but I think if techs aren't comfortable doing something, knowing that it's not going to look great, there's no harm asking for help from a coworker who has the artistic ability. I did ask the front desk girl (whose name I didn't catch but she's the one who seated me AND she checked on me numerous times during the service....she was great!) if they have soft builder gel or builder in a bottle available as I didn't see it on the menu. She said there's TAP and Gel X but neither of these are builder. She said she was going to check. She did bring back hard builder but I was looking for soft and in clear. I do my own nails and just needed a fill of my builder since I don't have time to do it this weekend myself. She did show me a builder in a bottle but she said no one really uses it or knows how and that they don't have clear. I think being able to get my nails done too would've saved me some time and would've put this review at a 5. When I was leaving I asked her if there were fans somewhere I could sit at so my toes could dry a little before I started driving. Surprisingly, it's a nail salon without a nail dry station. Yeah there were some hiccups but nothing major and I mean getting served cocktails while relaxing is awesome. I will for sure be back and now I know what they have and don't so I can be prepared accordingly. The customer service is second to none and I would highly recommend them. I also found information on their sister salon called Mila Nail Bar on Duluth Hwy also in Lawrenceville. Their menus and pricing are very similar and also have cocktail themes. read more

Grateful that I could pop into Nails and More without an appt on a Sunday AM. Pros: Hospitality/Customer service is great! They accommodated me so quickly and were so personable! Complimentary drinks never hurt! Although I tasted no alcohol. Beautiful interior! It sounds like they just remodeled so love the beautifully lit and open space! Cons: My pedicure was beyond mediocre. Way too gentle and she barely attended to my toes. Not sure of the name of the gal who did my pedicure, but she was rather young. My nails were rushed and the polish job wasn't good at all. I'm very disappointed in the outcome based on the price. They do have many people working here, so perhaps you just need to find the right people for mani/pedis, but unfortunately I likely won't be back. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Bait and Switch Pricing I called ahead and was told my service would be $33. When you're on Social Security, you budget carefully, so I confirmed the price before going. When I arrived finished and went to pay, they suddenly wanted $55. That $22 difference is huge when you're on a fixed income. When I questioned them about it, they refused to budge or honor the quoted price even though she remembered talking with me. Another customer felt so bad for me that she paid the difference herself. While I'm grateful for her kindness, having a stranger pay because the business wouldn't honor their quote was deeply embarrassing and humiliating. I left feeling ripped off and disrespected. Seniors on fixed incomes deserve honest pricing and to be treated with dignity. I cannot recommend this business. read more

I ah w been getting my nails (and eyebrows) done here for over 5 years. I have always been extremely pleased with the quality of my nails and how fast they work. I have used the same nail technician for the majority of that time. Her name is Julie. 90% of the time I have been completely satisfied with the work. My biggest concern with this salon has always been the up charges. They add things on without telling me ahead of time so I never know what my bill will be. Today I went in for a pedicure and new set of SNS Nails. I wanted a design because I'm attending a special event. Normally, I would expect a design to be between 10 and $20 but this time I was charged $40 for a design that did not even match the picture. It ended up costing me $163 by the time I checked out and left a tip. This salon has started nickel and diming customers for every little thing. Today I brought in a photo for a specific design. Instead, my technician made two simple stripes on my nails that did not match the photo at all. Generally, I am happy with my nails, but I wish that sometimes I could get what I asked for because I do not feel this "" design" was worth $40. I wanted my nails done for a very special event. I was in a rush and if you follow me you know I hate driving far out for my nails but I like to give my local shops a chance and here's my review: I always see this spot and lots of reviews but it's always packed! The good news is - they move pretty quickly so literally 10 mins will be all you will wait (or at least that's what I waited) and I was seen. Everyone was really kind and nice so their service is top tier in my book. They check on you while waiting, throughout your services, and made sure you truly enjoyed your experience. They offer pedi mimosas which was the cutest signature service I've seen! I had a specific design in mind and it was semi achieved but not a match which is why the 3 stars. I told the tech I like my nails to be thin and natural and wanted them with some more length. She filed them down low and there are literally like 5 or 6 coats on my nails. I hate the lumpiness and the uneven square bottom. We had to fix the thumbs several times because they were almost like rectangles compared to the other fingers. Overall they do look similar to the picture I showed her but I can see the imperfections so I guess it's bothering me only LOL She was really pleasant and did a great job for someone else so I will not destroy her in the review :) I would try them again but for now - I'll stick to Luxy nails for now. read more

I have been a customer at this nail salon a handful of times. It is well staffed and the wait time is reasonable for walk-ins. It's also possible to schedule an appointment with specific nail techs. I am typically satisfied with the service and my nails but I have noticed they are not transparent or communicative about the cost for services. For example, my last visit, I got SNS removed and I wanted it redone. The nail tech simply did this without offering a manicure (cuticle clean up). I didn't realize it wasn't part of redoing the SNS until it was too late and the nail tech told me it was an additional $5. Now, my most recent visit I asked for a flower design. My nail tech was Angel. The top of photo is what I asked for, the bottom is what I got. I explicitly told her I wanted a design on every other nail, then I looked up and she was doing every nail. I didn't say anything because I felt it would take more time to correct--but it definitely cost me. I paid $40 for SNS, $5 for Manicure, and $35 for the design! In total, $80 for a rather simple design on every nail, which I didn't ask for in the first place. I asked the cashier how pricing for design works and she really couldn't tell me. Initially, she said sometimes it's $5 for a flower on two nails but you have two flowers on each nail. Then, her final response was it just depends on the design. *Always inquire about prices* Aside from this, I highly recommend Christine for a pedicure. She was friendly and really helpful with trying to match my toenail color to my SNS nail color. She also referred to me by name and offered me something to drink. read more

Today my nails are a bubbly, uneven mess with terrible colors. As you can see from my previous review, I used to love coming here even though they're a bit pricey. The quality and service were excellent and the owner is awesome, but today was completely off. Today, I left baffled that I paid $96 for these nails. I did go back in to express my dissatisfaction, and Kailey & Kim stated they have a 5 day policy for unhappy customers. It's an inconvenience, but I'll return, update y'all, and post pics then. UPDATE: They fixed it! The pictures speak for themselves! No blame game, they weren't rude, just asked how to make it right and then did exactly that. I payed $75 for a butchered shaping job, uneven thickness in nails, air bubbles, not to mention they chipped within one week because of uneven thickness she didn't think to check that all my nails were fully done after using the acrylic powder and monomer which is very dangerous because my nails will break very easily and I had to fix them myself so they wouldn't look horrible. read more

Visited from out of state. Needed nails done asap and had such high hopes for this place after reading the reviews. There were so many options, I was overwhelmed with what service to pick. I went with dip powder and got Ivy as the nail tech. The whole time she tried to upsell me, she wanted me to do a different method (gel overlay or acrylic) and also tried to get me do choose a diff color, which was annoying. regardless, I stuck w dip powder. She worked on buffing off the old gel i Had on my nails. She seemed to be in a hurry and the entire dip job was terribly sloppy. She accidentally dipped my left hand in the wrong white Dip powder and haphazardly smeared all of the powder off the 5 fingers when she found out she made a mistake. She was definitely flustered but continued To dip my nails again. At this point my entire finger, nail bed, and underneath on my left hand was full of crusty powder because she tried to fix her mistake By smooshing and smearing the dip powder off. the tops of the nails were thick And lumpy. She then tried to file and buff out the lumps, she was overzealous and cut me along the cuticles in 3 spots. The nail shapes are uneven, some longer some shorter, some more rounded, some not. The top coat was applied twice and I sat and waited for them to dry. She checked on the nails with her fingers multiple times, and in doing so, she smeared the polish. Some parts are shiny, other parts are not. Overall both hands are lumpy, thick, and uneven. I mentioned all the gunk that was still crusted on my cuticles, all over the fingers and underneath and asked her to clean them off. She cleaned with cuticle oil all while complaining and blaming it on my nails being dry! I've had my nails done with dip powder, acrylic, gel overlay etc in various nail salons in different states, everywhere.. and this is the absolute worst experience I've ever had. i was charged for shaping fee and removal fee.. plus the new service so that was $58 that went to waste! I cannot wait to go back to my usual salon for them to remove this hideous dip job! read more

I am honestly so disappointed that I have to type this review. The Christmas nails picture is from a few years ago when honestly I feel like this salon was in its prime. I went in today to get my nails done by the same technician that did those nails. She was 20 minutes late and rushed my nails. I wanted a matte nail design for Valentine's Day and gave a clear picture of what I wanted. The end result is a rushed design that is runny on some nails because it was not given the proper time to dry. Her next appointment showed up while I was not finished and the whole end product is a result of a rush to finish. I have went to management on my last visit when I was unsatisfied and I felt like I was the problem for even complaining. For the money I spent today (almost $100 with tip) I will not be returning. I feel like they have gone to quantity vs quality platform which I can understand from a business standpoint but I feel like you should take care of the clients - especially the ones who have been loyal for years. I am writing a review to share my experience at Nails and More. I was on the search for a nail salon that provided creative and meticulous work. I stay in the heart of Atlanta and I am also a native so I do believe that hidden gems exists OTP. I made an hour drive to the salon with high hopes and expectations, especially after seeing their work on Instagram. My error and lack of planning, I should have made a decision on the nail tech and not by random selection. The service I requested was a preliminary test of a short basic full set with pink powder and a polish change. I was satisfied with my polish change, but I started to voice my concerns about the foundation of the full set; the application of the artificial nail was crooked; application of powder/monomer was inconsistent with some nails not fully covered and some nails product over flowed onto the skin. From a distance the nails look ok, but up close in detail you can see the flaws which creates concern for early lifting and breakage. Initially, I left but returned and the issue was rectified by another technician. I do appreciate the customer service. read more

My other nail place provides that service, hot towel and hot stone for $60-65. They are charging anywhere between $65-$85 and some don't include all that so pay attention. I don't mind paying for more services but at least tell me it's extra so I can decide it for myself. They entice you with drinks so you won't pay attention. Lol When I brought it to their attention, they gave me the deer in headlights look as if I'm speaking foreign. No thank you for your service or nothing. Other than that the service was good. Really amazing quality of products they use if you ask me, the photo taken of us holding hands is our nails over a month later.. all in tact and no dents from over-polishing. I really like this spot. I love how the owner walks around and greets people, talks to us and gives the impression he truly appreciates our business. The nail techs are great on knowing the current styles. Most of the techs have great customer service. What truly stops me from giving a perfect score is the front desk staff. I get that they're young but they truly need some training on customer service. They're not rude in a sense but so nonchalant at times, thanks type of energy. I'm not looking for a song and dance but after spending close to 400 on nails for me and my step daughter can I leave with great customer service and good energy? Every custom fingernail art has been fantastic and one in particular has made album cover. Currently, I personally have started getting pedicures/manicures here since one of our spokespeople (Lydia) has started working here. Lydia makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed while she provides for you the highest quality of service. Today, Lydia did a deluxe pedicure and manicure on me and her attention to detail was spot on. Lydia made sure that I was relaxed and her care during the service is unmatched. The owner Phuong is a top tier business owner and he personally greeted me and walks around speaking with his clients. I highly recommend that you come here and ask for Lydia and meet Phuong.
