I have been their regular customer until one time I noticed the person next to me was getting extra massage where I was with the owner who just passed her hands just up and down twice that was it. when I mentioned if she could do a like the other girl was doing I was given the flak. then the owner proceeded to speak in her language to all the staff it was obvious she said something about me because they all gave me a look. since that day I get a cold brush off yesterday I went in I was charged 89.00 dollars for mini manicure and mini pedicure which involves no massage no wax , had gel nail polish it should have been 75 dollars or less they have no cash register it's all wrung on calculators this busness needs to be brought to CRA'S attention bad service encouraged by the owner read more

Went to this Salon to get my nails done ( Shelack French) for my wedding. I normally go elsewhere but I happen to be in that part of town with family and booked an appointment because it was convenient against my better judgement. The staff was nice but the work was not, the manicure started bubbling practically on the same day and piece came off on the wedding day. If that wasn't bad enough, 3 nails came off the next day. I went back and got it fixed a few days afterwards but that wasn't enough and the manicure kept coming off on the other hand. I never had such an experience in my life with professional service. Needless to say, my manicure ended up looking abysmal on my honeymoon and I had to get it redone. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I do have to share this experience. read more

I am a former nail technician so I have extremely high expectations when getting my nails done. I have tried several salons in Maple Ridge and City Nails, Vicki in particular, is the only place I will trust with my nails. I have since moved to Chilliwack but still travel back to Maple Ridge once a month to get Vicki to do my nails for me. She is the only one I trust and she always does an amazing job. I never have lifting when she does my nails, she is quick, efficient and very sweet. The prices are very reasonable and they use top quality products. Every Tuesday they have a discount on pedicures. Their massage chairs alone are well worth the $25 pedicure price just to sit, relax, be pampered and have a full back massage. Their pedicures are wonderful and well worth the price. I highly recommend going to see Vicki at City Nails. You won't be disappointed. read more

Got an acrylic nail fill here today. Nails are nice and thin, and well shaped. All things I look for in a good fill. I'm not a fan of shellac on my acrylic as it adds so much thickness. When I selected regular polish, she didn't push like so many other salons. Even better was it was a good quick job done in under 45 minutes for only $25! Will be going back for all my fills from now on. I saw some complaints about everyone speaking in Vietnamese, being rude, etc. Yes, they speak Vietnamese but they also communicate well in English. Maybe I'm just used to services like this speaking something other than English though. Whatever. They do a good job, I'm happy. read more

I have manicures and pedicures here all the time. Vicki is very thorough and I am always getting compliments on my shellac nails. I am finally able to keep them at a nice, moderate length. I was there one day when the health inspector came through and it looked to me that everything was in order. They use plastic liners in their massage chairs, do hot wax and stone massages as a regular part of their pedicures. You can walk in, but I like to make an appointment. Otherwise they may try and fit you in. I don't like to feel rushed at all. read more

I just moved to this city recently, and I saw all of the good ratings for this place so I thought why not check it out. From the moment I walked in the door and smiled at the lady approaching me, I had a poor experience. She never cracked a smile, and was rude in her interactions. She did a minimal job on my manicure, and the shellac she applied was melting under the nail lights. There were 2 or 3 nails where the shellac was visibly not smooth with craters due to melting (or whatever the chemical reaction is). I won't ever be going back there again. I went here and had my nails done and I was very unhappy so I messaged them. They seemed to be very helpful and said I could come in and have them fixed/redone. I messaged back letting them know I would remove my nails and come in to have a new set put on. I made an appointment to have them redone and when I arrived after driving 25 minutes Nancy, the owner, informed me she would NOT redo them or give me a refund. The customer service is absolutely appalling and I wound NEVER recommend them to anyone. Ever. Also refused a refund. read more

I usually don't write reviews if an establishment does a great, good, or an OK job. The place i usually go to didnt have openings today. So i tried this place for a fill this afternoon, had an appointment: nail tech buffing down my nails scratched my cuticles multiple times with his dremel file, then was about to apply the gel color I choose, but it was the wrong color. We found another color, but then the nail tech doing my nails pointed to another nail tech and said: "she'll put on color, I have another client". Then the first tech I had started doing another girls pedi. My gel fill has bubbles are bumpy and streaky. Nail files are not new from client to client and nail tools are used from client to client without being sterlized. (The nipper used to cut my cuticles were used on the girl my tech left to start her pedi). Paid $38. Not ever coming back. Don't waste your time. read more

Brutal service. We had an appointment and the people that arrived after us were served first. Nobody explained a thing, in fact nobody spoke to us at all. Foot bath was cold, waited a half hour with no service until we walked out. A total disappointment! I could not recommend this place less, it totally sucks. read more

Had a pedicure and was very unsatisfied on a few different levels. 1. They did not swap out the used/dirty tools for clean ones. We had to tell them to use clean ones. 2. I usually don't post any reviews but I have to post this. Went to that place today. It is disgusting and very filthy. Old lady who did my nails was done with me in 10 minutes!!!! 5 minutes later (after drying my nails) I walked out. Went straight home to take the nail polish off and cut my nails. She did horrible job. They were uneven cut and nail polish was all over my cuticles. I never experienced something like this. My 6 years old daughter would do a better job. I don't understand how is it possible that this old lady (I don't know her name because she was to busy talking the whole time to the other technicians in her language) could ever do a perfect mani or pedi. I would swear she doesn't see very well. Or at least she doesn't care if you are satisfied with the service she provided. I will never go back!!!! Got a great pedi here. Leg massage was SUPER - she used hot rocks! Also paraffin treatment which was bliss for my freezing cold winter feet. Very pretty flower design on my polish. "Jeni" did my pedi. I'll be back for sure! read more

Very disappointed as my daughter got her nails done for Grad on May 31. Nail broke the day of Grad about 20 min before we had to leave. They refused to fix the nail or even make time to correct the problem. We didnt have time to argue. Went to another Nail Salon. Great service and fixed the nail that City Nails wouldnt. Too bad. Went here for a pedicure. The woman doing my toes was also answering the phone and started doing someone else's feet WITH THE SAME GLOVES ON. I told her she cannot use the same gloves after answering the phone and she certainly can't use the same gloves between two people! She looked at me like I was crazy and asked me why. the first time I had a mani pedi and the young lady was great, so I wanted to come back, the second time was so bad I will never go again.... The guy that did my mani did not soak my hands or take my polish off with remover he used the file and took off a layer of my nail off??? He did not clean underneath them, he did not massage my hands or arms he should not be in this profession.. I will never go in to city nails again because of this experience..
