Saw my review was from 2011 and realized I should state this is still my #1 pick. Have been to Kits, Vancouver, Mexico...salons and this is still the top option. Owners Lana and Hui have updated the establishment and there are more chairs and tables. Gel, shellac, hydro pedicures include hot stone massage...everything you require for your nails. I have to say that this place is definitely a hit or miss! I have only come here for waxing so keep that in mind for this review. The first time I got my arms waxed here it was awful - more painful than it needed to be and missed patches. However, today I called at 5:45 to see if they had time for a back wax and they said they did even though they closed at 6. I came at 6 and was out at 6:30 and did not feel rushed at all which was great! The lady who helped me was named Helen I believe, and she was very good at her job. It was quick, detailed, and as painless as waxing can get! I would definitely recommend her for a wax. read more

I have been going to image nails to see Lana for over 5 years now. Lana and the staff are friendly and professional and very accommodating to my schedule! I have never had a service there that I wasn't satisfied with! The quality of work she and her husband and staff do is top notch! I travel from maple ridge to coquitlam to go to that salon as I know they are the best in town! I highly recommend this salon to anyone who's looking for an awesome experience! read more

I have been going here religiously for the last year. Lana is the best nail tech ever, I will only go to her for my gels. They have a great range of offerings and the prices are extremely reasonable. I found this nail salon on yelp and went for a pedicure this afternoon. The exterior is a bit run down and the interior was typical for an inexpensive nail salon. The staff were very friendly and polite and they were able to squeeze in my appoint at the last minute. It certainly wasn't the best pedi I've had but I would definitely go there again :) read more

Booked an appointment a wk in advance for my friend and I to get a pedicure as a reward for well we have been working at the gym.she came from out of town for this. I had called and booked the appointment for 12 noon and he repeated back to me 12 noon see you girls than. But they wrote it down for 11 anyway. I got a text at 1130 saying it was a reminder for the appointment. Responded we will be there and then got a text at 11:50 saying it's too late we don't have time. I had a manicure here and was extremely impressed! Great service ... Hui took the time to explain why my last manicure (at another salon) was peeling. Honestly, my nails have never looked or felt as good. I will definitely be a repeat customer. The only reason I didn't give this another star is because the facility is a bit dated. read more

I thought I would try this place because it is closer to work/home and after reading the reviews I thought "worth trying". This was the worst place to get nails done. When she was finished doing my nails (gel nails) and I was just about to leave, I noticed that there were these white scratches all over my nails and not just one or two fingers but every finger. She tried telling me that it was due to the gel I had underneath (I came in for a fill) but I have been getting my nails done for 10 years and this has never happened before!! I usually get them done downtown but sometimes i get fills at other salons when i dont have time to go down there. She then went on to tell me she noticed it when she was doing filing them; then why did she not say anything? If I had known they were going to look like that I would have not done them. Another customer was there so instead of fixing them she asked someone else to airbrush a pink on them and then put another coat of gel. You can still see the scratches. I will NOT be going back. read more

After further researching fake nails, I realized how badly they were doing them here. They used a Dremel Drill on my natural nails instead of a nail file - which caused an odour and my nails hurt while they were doing it. I also asked (and was charged for) Gel Nails. Turns out it wasn't completely gel nails, the base and tip colour were both acrylic and only the top coat was gel. The entire time I was getting them done, the employees were talking to each other in a different language (which is just rude in a professional setting). When I went to get them filled in, I got a guy doing it, and he said that I shouldn't get the tip part extended further up towards my hand. Having this be my first time with fake nails, I trusted what he said and a week later, I could see my own, natural nail underneath the base colour. I also noticed that part of the gel on one finger had lifted, so I called and asked if they would fix it, they said they would have to charge me for it. By the time I arrived, I decided I wanted them all off because I hated the way they looked and I couldn't afford a new set. The woman who took them off tried to tell me that it was my fault I could see my natural nail underneath, and told me that the man wouldn't have suggested to not extend the tip colour. Poor customer service and not honest about their products. read more

I have gone to this place several times and it is a hit and miss.... The employees are very rude...always talking and laughing in another language. If you ask them a question, they ask another employer in their mother tongue. Just plain RUDE...we are in Canada folks and our language here is ENGLISH.... I had a set of gell nails put on and within a week they fell off and I went directly back there and they re-did and I was told that the fellow had put the wrong stuff on my nails...I thought. Ok this is fair enough until I went to leave and they charged me for a full set again... I was very upset..... This husband wife/ team that own the place are all about the money...no customer service..nothing...i would,not go again and I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Image Nails is owned by a married couple Lana and Xue. They are very professional, meticulous in their work and have fair pricing. I mostly have my appointments for acrylic and gel nails with Xue and I always leave happy. He is very accommodating and works very hard. I see all the time how he and his wife let clients in last minute without appointment and are kept after hours to satisfy these clients. The salon is bright and clean and has two large screen TVs so you can relax while getting treatment. I've been going there for several years and so have my mom, my sister and my aunt and we have nothing but good things to say. There was one time my mom's nails were done by one of the employees and didn't turn out well but Xue fixed it same day at no cost. Stuff like that happens occasionally and you cannot blame it on the owners who work really hard to make their clients happy. I recommend this salon without hesitation! read more

I phoned them to find out the price for acrylic nails + gel color and they quoted me $42. I went the next day (dropped in) and when we were finished she charged me 52$. She could obviously tell I was confused so she began to explain it was 40$ for "solar" nails and 12$ for the gel color. I have been getting my nails done for 10 years and I did not ask for this "solar" I simply wanted acrylic. They did a good job on my nails but I won't be going back. I don't appreciate being falsely led to believe it's one price and later finding out it's another. read more

It was my first time getting my nails done, I had no idea what anything was. I ended up getting something called two toned UV gell set...but I had thought I was getting the french shellac with gel set. (I was very confused as to what they were suggesting to me). The price sounded decent but I feel they cheated me off on a few aspects because I wasn't aware of what it was and they didn't inform me of what they are applying/ doing to my nails so I would know what I'm paying for. The nail technical who did my nails destroyed the cuticles by sanding into them. It hurt but I was a bit scared to say anything. The nails turned out fine but there were imperfections such as the nail technician had to sand off a bit of the gel off my nail because it had dried funny. I noticed afterward that the plastic extension that was the base for the nails showed on one of my finger (it poked out from underneath and if you rub your finger against it, it would scratch you.) Overall the nails are OKAY. Quality I give it a 3 (minus 2 stars for imperfection and killing my cuticles) I would not come back because the service and the nails are not worth the money I paid for, read more
