I left feeling unsafe and hoped it wasn't a mistake being charged again for the traffic school. Also, I really hope he gets the medical attention he needs to prevent him from treating others in the future less than. As far as the experience at the dmv across the hall, it was the complete opposite. Shirley was informative, courteous, patient and respectful. Maybe David Serra can learn from Shirleys exceptional service? I left within an 2 hours. Discouraged from all the fees, and Davids inappropriate behavior, but relieved that at least one employee enjoyed their job.

If you call their telephone number (305) 687-2484, it continuously rings/rings and shortly, goes into a busy signal. What I learned, is that they lower the volume on all of the phones, with the exception of one phone in case a Supervisor or Manager calls from the USPS postmaster. CANNOT wait until they start closing these facilities and all of the lazy ass ppl lose their jobs. After living in my neighborhood over 30 yrs - FPL contacts me to tell me that my address is wrong and they couldn't deliver my bill. When I check my address on the website (FPL) it is correct. I figured that the lazy ass POSTAL worker either put it in the wrong mailbox or simply sent it back. MIND you, it is the same carrier for over 6 yrs and she hates her job. Whatever happen to having pride in your job? For the most part, this place needs to be removed along with the lazy ass employees.

I was on a look out for a quiet place where I could work with better internet connectivity. Unfortunately this is second such spot where it was difficult to find an internet connection expect for a hard two bar connection. Later, I realised that it had to do with my laptop which was quite old and had just 2.5 ghz of wifi connectivity. Whereas, nowadays it's all about 5 ghz. So, my bad! I would definitely recommend this place and do not go for the sign boards at the parking as anyone wishing to spend time at this library has the privilege to park your vehicle for free of cost. This library is well arranged as all the furniture's are aesthetically placed based on user requirements. They do have small kiosks for working or studying in groups too. If your interests include books, architecture, or local history this library is well worth a visit. The Brockway Memorial Library was built in 1948 with a $50,000 gift from philanthropist George A. Brockway, a truck manufacturer from Cortland, New York. The land was donated by Bessemer Properties, the company that led the incorporation of the Village of Miami Shores in 1932. Designed by architect Edwin T. Reeder in a modern tropical Florida style, the building features a great room with high exposed-beam ceilings, wood-paneled alcoves, coral stone, and three limestone fireplaces. In recognition of its architectural and historical significance, the library received local historic designation in 2023. The library officially opened to the public in 1949 with a collection of 4,182 donated volumes under the leadership of librarian Helen O'Connell Borsch. Over the decades, it has expanded several times, in 1955, 1960, 1984, 2002, and most recently in 2023 to accommodate a collection that now exceeds 70,000 volumes. The interior was designed by Haygood Lasseter, who also worked on President Harry S. Truman's Little White House in Key West. One of the library's most notable directors was Elizabeth Esper, whose remarkable 45-year tenure helped shape the institution. Today, the library also houses the Miami Shores Archives, a historical research facility preserving photographs, documents, and public records dating back to 1925. In front of the library stands a blue historic marker that is part of Florida's Historical Marker Program, one of the Florida Division of Historical Resources' most recognizable public history initiatives. These markers commemorate significant people, places, and events throughout the state and can be found at historic buildings, schools, churches, colleges, cemeteries, archaeological sites, battlefields, and historic districts.
