The worst customer services and u will feel like u r dealng with a big scam company , if u sign a contract with them that's it, no way back and u will suffer not only financially but also mentally, they really don't cre about their customers they just care about the money and boy will they get ur money, I would rather drink from lake ontario than get their filtration system. I had the WORST time ever with these people ! The cooler they sent never worked - always had a bad taste and there was a yellowish stain on the spout. I called them - they send a "repair" guy who basically just cleans it and leaves. I stopped paying them because they weren't doing anything about it and not returning my calls UNTIL THEY STOPPED GETTING THEIR MONEY !! Then I heard from them everyday! I kept telling them to please fix it or come and take it away. They did come finally and take it away - AND SENT MY ACCOUNT TO A COLLECTION who was even more rude! They wanted me to pay out the entire contract. I had my lawyer contact them! What a terrible experience...if you read these to help you make a decision - read this carefully and the other reviews also and then move on to another water company. Every time, I call they make me feel that I am the most valuable customer and my business really matters to them. The staff is very polite and patient. Their service is prompt; it seems that I am the most important customer they are attending to. The filtration products are definitely above average and the water quality is very good. Never use these guys. They supplied water for 10 years to a business I recently closed. They tell me I'm obligated for another 15 months with them and are demanding payment. I currently have 3 other accounts with these idiots and they would rather attempt to strongarm me into paying a BS autonewal tactic, that I highly doubt any judge would enforce,and also lose all my other business rather than let it go. They absolutely are cheaper than the others but their tactics are basically criminal, and they will never explain their cancellation of services policy to you in advance of signing a contract. Thankfully I don't think I personally signed a contract with them on this business so I don't think they have a chance in court should they actually choose to go that route for $160. read more

I definitely would not recommend this company. Their cancellation policy and refurbishment policies are not clearly outlined until you try and cancel them. We paid them for over 7 years and gave them 6 months notice of cancellation and still received a bill for $500 which is even more then their unit can possibly be worth. Do not buy from this company I had gone into City water with good intentions but that quickly changed when City water showed their true colors. We had rented from them for a small while before we had some issue with the filters. we didn't think of it as a big deal so city water came to remove the filter. It was only after we got the bill that we realized not only had city water continued to charge us rent when the filter was gone and they had up and gone to cancel our plan without notification, landing us with a huge fee! They didn't bother to notify or even talk to us about cancelling our plan! They sent us the unexpected bill of more than $500, and of course we disputed it. We didn't ask to cancel, seeing as how city waters ridiculous contract asks for written notice of cancellation of a plan 6 MONTHS in advance, and yet they gave us no notice! And NOW they have "graciously" handed over the bill to creditors who have been harassing us at our place of work demanding pay for something we didn't agree or ask for! They are holding our credit rating hostage for a ridiculous bill that they pulled from thin air! This is the single worst customer service experience I've had in my entire life. City water should be ashamed of themselves for their conduct, and this only speaks volumes about the kind of people that must be running this business. They're nothing but extortionists with no regard for another person's respect or dignity. read more

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. They will rob you blind. Don't sign a contract with them as it will cost you $1000's to get out of it. Get the word out to anybody and everybody not to use this company it should not be in business. They lock you into 5 year contracts and when renewal comes up if you want to cancel they charge $300 per cooler (old and crappy coolers) to take them out and make you pay for another 9 months rental after they have removed them. Check sections 5 and 6 on their contract before signing and if you sign with them you will regret it. They say they service twice a year, our water tastes horrible through their coolers and we have never seen a service person so who knows what we are drinking. read more

Water is absolutely clean and pure!!! I have to admit that I have a stickler for perfection and time. Sometimes, even my family members cannot cope up with my attitude. But, City Water International team is excellent. They are punctual, dedicated and very professional. They installed the filters and gave me all the needed info before leaving. Unlike bottled water, which is a bit expensive, the water from City Water Cooler is very Fresh. I am glad i found them :) super happy with city water international and highly recommend their water solutions!!! read more

If I could rate them 0 I would. General maintenance is ok but as we have been a long term small business client of theirs our water dispenser was ancient by the time we canceled our contract. We called a year ago to cancel and told we were too late and were auto locked into another year. Fine so I asked that the terms of cancellation be made VERY clear - this in itself was like pulling teeth to get out of them. I wanted to know how much it would cost to cancel, the timeline, and to make sure no outstanding charges and surprises were put before us upon removal of product. I was assured that the charge would be $0 if I cancelled according to their protocol. We went on and used the product for the year, giving them 6 months written notice, then reminding them 30 days prior that we wanted the unit removed upon completion of contract. I contacted them twice with no response. Finally another 2 calls later someone came to pick up. Dispenser sat unused in the corner of our office for an additional 2 months while we waited for someone to come. Fast forward to present I receive a bill more than one month after the stated due date. This gives you some indication of how organized they are and how they conduct business. The bill was for $450+ for a "Removal and refurbishment fee" - something I very specifically asked about last year. The dispenser itself is so old that it's not even worth anything close to that! I would also highly doubt that they would even refurbish and give it to someone else. On top of that it is maintained on a regular basis by their company as this is the service we are paying for. If there was anything wrong with it, it would be entirely their fault for not fixing it while in use by us. I called their office to resolve the matter and to let them know that this must be a mistake because I had a conversation with their customer service staff in order to avoid this situation in the first place. I spoke to "M" who was very short and rude with me. I explained the situation to her and all she had to say was "either you pay it or we're taking you to court". Wow.. after years with this company this is how we are treated. She further went on to tell me that nothing was in my file about having a conversation with regards to cancellation fees or closing fees. I was adamant that the conversation was had because in the end that is how we agreed to working with them for another year, knowing that at the end of the year the cost to us would be $0. Whether their agent made a mistake in telling me this in the first place is on them, not us. I suppose they can also write whatever they choose in their official file. As I saw there was no getting through to her, I asked that she make a note of the due date of the bill and the date we actually received it so that we are not charged finance charges for their incompetency. I also left a voicemail with her VP in order to facilitate this matter. Hopefully it will be resolved in an amicable way. This experience has left a very bad taste... Everything is fine and well when you're with them but the moment you want to leave they threaten you with court. I never even expressed that I would not pay the bill, my intention was to enquire about the situation and come to an agreement. After my phone call I decided to read up reviews on this company. As our company had a change of hands and City Water was chosen by the former owners many years ago, I wanted to see what this company was about. On the better business bureau there are several complaints all for the same type of situation. Being told one policy, then being told later that it wasn't written in their file, charging people arbitrary amounts for the removal and refurbishment fee, etc... At the end using their water dispenser has cost us approx $800 for 1 year...I might as well have bought a huge stock of fancy bottled water and called it a day. This is an insane amount to have to pay for something that you could technically drink for free... We now have a very fancy water dispenser that I bought out right elsewhere. Comes with all the bells and whistles that theirs did not. It actually dispenses hot water instead of lukewarm "hot water". It cost me $450 after tax plus I will need to maintain quarterly on my own but no more annual fee of $300+ and then another $480 when I want to cancel. They really like to shoot themselves in the foot because had they just been a little more courteous and client conscious, there would have been a very good chance that we would use them in the future if our current self-maintained dispenser method didn't work out. Or that we would recommend it to the many other businesses and clients that we work with. Instead now I find us in the position to not only not recommend them when people ask, we will also be making sure that anyone who does ask for a suggestion, we're telling to steer clear of this company. uggggg I cannot give less than 5 stars to City Water because every time I have encountered the service guys, I am impressed with there knowledge, expertise and customer care. my pantry is like 100 ft away from the direct tank, and i was wondering how they'll manage this, but the guys had done great job now i have two water filtering units one for my warehouse and for my store. Both are running perfectly fine (since may 2015) and I never have to call them several times a week. The water is clean and tasty. Most importantly, their pricing model is very efficient and saves thousands of dollars a year. Before opting the services they have declared the contract exactly which is signed up for.. I'll continue the long term association with this filter company . If you need water filtration services, your search must ends with City Water. Take my word...they are excellent and I'll surely recommend them...! read more

They require cancellation 6 months before contract expiration (not from when you want to cancel, so despite wanting to cancel when our contract is up, I am now somehow locked in to another 15 months).
