After waiting 2 hours to be seen (which wasn't their fault except that I would say they were understaffed), the assistant was lovely. She was polite and efficient as she questioned me and input my responses. It was another 10-15 minutes before the PA or Dr. came in. I don't know her name either because she didn't tell me or because she was talking so fast because she was in such a hurry, that I didn't catch it. My symptoms were a croup like cough, a sore throat and I headache. This had been going on for a week and a half. She listened to my chest and looked in my ear, nose and throat. I was so concerned about possibly having pneumonia that I didn't even realize she never tested me for COVID or the flu until I was on my way home. She must have been with me all of 3 or 4 minutes. She cut me off when I spoke. I felt like she was in a race and waiting for test results would have slowed her down too much. Just awful care . read more

I went there to be seen because I'm pretty sure I have an infection because of the pollen and when I got there the nurse asked me what test I wanted to get instead of asking me questions about how I was feeling At the moment, I went there for a solution which I did not. The doc came in and said I was ok when really I was not at all. this was today morning, now I'm feeling worse and it's night right now I would not recommend this place for nothing. It seems like since everything is digita they don't want to do any work no more!!!!!!! Nonsense! Anyway I'm gonna go tomorrow to my primary doctor comon sense I know she'll prescribed me an antibiotic because of my infection, hopefully ill feel much better. Absolutely absurd experience with CityMD Bellmore Urgent Care - Long Island at 2459 Merrick Road, Bellmore, NY 11710. I'm disgusted to even repeat the unprofessional, disrespectful and utter sickening behavior my son and I experienced here. While waiting with my son to be seen by a doctor, the assistant manager, Dawn Lombardo walks into our patient room and accuses me of not being my son's mother and informs me that he will not be seen by a physician. I call my husband and explain the situation. While on the phone with my husband, I stop Dawn and tell her I have my husband on the phone to speak with her. She responds by saying she refuses to continue speaking with me and will only speak with my husband directly. I give my husband the urgent care's number and he calls to speak with Dawn. Mind you- Dawn didn't call him herself after 15 mins of me asking her to. Dawn proceeds to explain to my husband that he needs to fill out a form. She then explains that this was all miscommunication but she still needs the form filled out. He fills out whatever they want just so that our son gets seen. While all of this is happening, my 8 year old is crying and telling me he's worried "they're going to take you away from me. Why don't they believe you that you're my mama. You're my mom! I need to tell them. Tell papa to tell them. They're going to take you!!". He's witnessed first hand Dawn accusing me of not being his mother, her refusing to speak with me and only speak with my husband and raising her voice at me. I wish he didn't witness any of it. I wish she would have taken my aside and had respect for my child. As I'm calming him down and reassuring him that no one is going to take me away from him, the physician finally walks in, over an hour after we arrived and finally takes a look at him. Not a single individual even checks my ID to make sure I match the form my husband just filled out just to get to this point. What was all of this for? What's the reasoning to traumatize a little boy? The doctor evaluates my son, prescribed some medicine and as soon as they say "Well that's it, you're free to go", my son grabs my hand and pulls me out the door and to the car. As soon as we get to the car he cries out "Go! Drive home! We need to go home!". During the drive he cries to me that he no longer wants to be a doctor. He doesn't want to "be like them" and "take mamas away from their kids". Our 8 year old is refusing to eat, refusing to leave my side and sleep alone. He's traumatized. His dream of becoming a doctor has been ripped from him all because Dawn Lombardo is incompetent to do her job. My child is terrified. I am furious. This behavior was disgusting and horrifying. I am ashamed to have entrusted CityMD Bellmore Urgent Care. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I have to in this instance. I had a skin procedure in San Diego and was on business in NY during the week that my stitches needed to be removed. I made an appointment, then called to confirm and asked specifically 'I had a skin procedure and am past the window that my stitches need to be removed, do you remove stitches'? and the woman replied 'of course'. I go out of my way to make an appointment, move my business schedule around the day of the appointment, only to be seen by the doctor (Vincent Stracuzzi) to say 'we don't remove stitches for surgical sites', was very rude, and basically talked me out of getting my stitches removed. I was in the office for 14 minutes. I THEN get a bill for $281 after insurance adjustment. I called to dispute this, and was told there was nothing they could do, this was the office visit charge. What a joke. Go somewhere else. read more

The only reason they even get 2 stars is because the doctor was very pleasant. HOWEVER, I have come here on two separate occasions for 2 separate work related incidents and they've messed up my insurance on both occasions. I even brought it to their attention on the second visit and said to PLEASE make sure they do it right. I was visiting the area from out of state and cut my finger badly. I found the CityMD in Bellmore to be clean, fast and efficient. From my prior experiences with walk-in clinics in CT, I easily expected to be there for well over 2 hrs but CityMD had me fixed up and home in less than an hour. The receptionist, medical assistants and doctor were all friendly, helpful and professional. Overall a great experience under the circumstances. I will definitely recommend to others. read more

Felt flu-ish last night 10pm. Oh no! All other Urgent Cares were closing. Really grateful Bellmore CityMD is open til midnight!!! The waiting room had just a few people. A sign-in kiosk had 99% of my information from past visits with CityMD chain, so no mountains of checkin paperwork needed. The front desk receptionists, the medical tech and the doctor were great, efficient & very pleasant. They quickly sent my prescription to an all-nite pharmacy so it was ready by the time I got there. I went tonight because I have been having pain in my side for two weeks. I got an X-ray and they told me nothing was wrong and sent me on my way. I get home and an hour later I have two missed calls from this establishment. The doctor gets on the phone and says that he sent my xray to a radiologist and HE MISSED THAT I BROKE A RIB. HOW DO YOU MISS A BROKEN RIB????? I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure you can see a break on an XRay. He then said sorry good luck and that was it. read more

I feel like im here constantly. Seriously don't get old there is always something wrong with me. So i went in because i felt a weird lump above my collarbone. The dr.s def think im a baby hypochondriac there . He said it was a normal part of my anatomy but im in terrible pain. So then said its a strain on my something so i got pain meds. Im still in terrible pain and feel like i can't pop it back in but whatever. Also the meds weren't given to me cause they weren't approved by my insurance cause they reacted poorly with another med im on. Hmmmm weird. I went there to get a referral to get an MRI for my knee and asked the receptionist at the desk if that is possible. She confirmed and said to speak with the doctor. When I finally saw the doctor, they were so useless, in that they could not make the referral and all they offered was a prescription for pain killers, which I declined. I stated this visit was a waste of my time and to make sure they do not bill me or my insurance. The receptionist confirmed that I would not get charged. A month later, I got a bill for $375 for their waste to time visit, that I am currently trying to dispute. They are so unprofessional and immature, when I call to discuss, they hang up on me and block my number. I had to file a complaint with the BBB to intervene. Stay away from this place unless you want a prescription for pain killers. Not sure if they would even get that right. read more

Visit Date: March 4, 2018 I loved this place. I use walk-ins a lot because my primary care doctor's office is such a long wait that I only like to go to them for physicals or something that I feel might be extreme. I popped in here after a baby shower (don't worry I wasn't ill otherwise I would have skipped the baby shower and avoided getting the pregnant lady sick), I just needed to have my ears cleaned because (this is really gross), they get impacted with wax sometimes. My wait time was amazing! There was hardly anyone there I'm not sure if there are times the office can be busy. I checked in, went to the bathroom and they were ready to see me right after going into the bathroom. They took some vitals, I explained about my ears and the doctor came in checked it out and said they'd be able to clean them out for me. My primary care doctor annoys me with the ear cleaning because they make me use debrox and than visit them a few days later. I think the doctor who saw me was Dr. Kim. He said they can clean my ears immediately. Immediately was fine with me because I have a 20 month old at home and I'm lucky I find time to visit the doctor between taking care of my son and working. He put peroxide in to soften up the wax a little bit than he came in 5 minutes later and flushed them out and I'm good as new and able to hear again until they get impacted again a few months from now. So far this walk in location is A OK with me! read more

If I could give a lower rating than this I would. It is understood that coming to an urgent care facility during this pandemic will never be easy. Waits are to be expected as well as staff shortages.. But when i walk in with my husband, who has a broken wrist, the first response from the front desk is "is it even bad?".. Is it even bad? That is in no way to treat ANY patient. After showing my husband's clearly broken wrist we get an eye roll and instructed to go register at a kiosk. As if we were some kind of inconvenience. I have never been more disgusted with a health care facility in my life. I will never return and I truly hope that others follow suit. read more

1045pm place was packed. Didn't know until I got there that it was no appt. no entry at this time. They saw I was limping with a broken toe and let me in anyway, courteously. I interacted with at least 7 diff employees over course of my visit and each and every one of them was 100% kind, pleasant, friendly, professional. I didn't leave until midnight and was last one out. I will never go back to CityMD again. The receptionists are nice, but the staff is rude and do not care about their patients. I month ago I visited them to get checked due to throat pain before a last minute flight to go on a vacation with my family and turned out to be laryngitis. I went back today due to my asthma as I was having difficulty and needed more medicine and wanted to avoid the ER and could not go see my regular doctor because its Saturday evening. First, the assistant who took my blood pressure placed the cuff too tight around my arm and it hurt so much and left me several marks. This was the first time I had this happened and complained to her and she said there was nothing she could do about it and just continued to ask me questions and type on the computer. Then, the PA entered the room very confrontative who reminded me that I was there recently. At first, he didn't even ask me what was the reason of my recent visit and asked me why I was there last month and belittled me when I didn't say the word "laryngitis" correctly when I said it with my spanish accent. Then, proceeded to check me and ask me what was wrong and continued to belittled me because I didn't go see my regular doctor to get my asthma checked out during the week and waited until today to address my issue. His demeanor was rude, confrontative and just argumentative with everything I said. He made me feel so uncomfortable and if it wasn't that I needed more Medicine for my nebulizer and was Saturday evening, I would have left the moment the PA walked in the room with a chip on his shoulder. I'm definitely writing a complain to the office, but doubt they will address it. read more

I came in to CityMD In Bellmore to get an "Ear Bud" from my headphones removed from my ear. The Doctor was wonderful, quick and painless. Furthermore, Kerri and Gystelli at the front desk are amazing! Kerri fixed the very broken zipper on my winter jacket which was a mess and I couldn't fix and Gystelli checked me out quickly and both have excellent customer service skills! I came here twice for rapid COVID testing. It was understandable that it took 4 hours to get inside. What was not okay was after 3.5 hours of waiting and getting to the front, another couple who had just arrived and seemed to know someone inside got the special privilege to skip the entire line and get inside. That's really a slap in the face to people who wait in the cold for 3-4 hours and definitely not professional. Especially when no explanation is given. We Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Especially on a busy Saturday morning. My husband had a head injury and was bleeding so we were taken right in. The front desk women were so polite and courteous and tended right to our needs. In the room we were immediately introduced to Dr. canter and his assistant Nicole. They were such a great team! The doctor was very thorough and told us he needed a few staples in his head. The assistant was cleaning my husband off and calming our nerves by making us laugh and feel so comfortable. It's very rare you find a team like we had that day. We wound up having to go back about a half hour after we left because my husband began bleeding again. To our luck, As soon as we walked in the same assistant was at the front and rushed us right back To another room. Given the location of His injury, it was difficult to keep it covered and keep the bandage from falling off. However, Nicole sat in the room with us for well over a half hour, cleaning my husband off, keeping it dry , and figuring out a way to get his bandages to stay. Everything worked out beautifully and no matter how many times we apologized for taking up so much of her time, she still made us laugh the whole Time and made us feel so important. If you have Covid, yes go here. If its anything other then Covid, don't waste your time. Because this Bellmore location has turned into only a Coivd obsessed location. It is all they care about. Its all they talk about. I went there sick as a dog over the summer and they tested me for Covid 2 times and both came back negative. But still did not give me any answers on what I had, no prescription and sent me on my way saying only that its not Covid. My son went there a month ago with a horrible cough and congestion. They tested for Covid and he came back negative and they said nothing else about what he had other then its not Covid and of course sent him on his way. He eventually went to an allergist on his own who did tests and he is now on prescriptions and clearing him up finally. The Bellmore City MD is useless if you are sick with any anything other than Covid. That is ALL they care about. Covid Covid Covid.... and then send you on your way with the only response of that its not Covid. Useless. read more

I went here yesterday after being sick for almost 2 weeks. I was complaining about chest congestion, laryngitis, fever, and sinus infection. The doctor walked in and never even examined me. Not once did I have to bring my mask down. The only thing she asked is if I smoked? I don't smoke, or vape. Right after that she just rudely sent me home with nothing to help me. This morning I woke up unable to breathe, gasping for air. I walked into my hallway and became super dizzy from the lack of oxygen I was receiving. I then went to the Massapequa CityMD location and instantly the doctor told me I was close to developing pneumonia. There is fluid in my lungs and I needed to be on medication as soon as possible. I told this location about my experience at Bellmore and apparently I'm not the first one this has happened to. If anyone wants to actually be listened to, and examined please do not go to the Bellmore CityMD. You will be visually assessed and rushed out. read more

Thank you to this location for having late hours on a Sunday evening (I've been to the Levittown location but they close at 5:30 pm on Sundays). After feeling perfectly fine on Friday & Saturday, I felt crummy on Sunday (1/17/21). I tried sleeping off the sick feeling but I ended up calling this location & was able to come in right away for what I suspected was an ear infection (after testing negative for strep & covid, turned out to be tonsillitis). From the employees I spoke to on the phone, to the security guard to the MA & dr, everyone I dealt with was kind & helpful. I can't imagine the stress to work in an urgent care dealing with cranky people who don't feel well (esp in covid times), but thank you greatly to the people who work here who helped me! read more

Brought my son here on a Sunday afternoon with temp and sore throat. It was clean and new , everyone was friendly. This was a specialist co pay on my insurance which was better then the emergency co pay ! I have never experienced worse medical care than I did at the City MD in Bellmore. The staff was fine, but the provider herself was absolutely awful. I have a reoccurring condition and all I wanted her to do was give me a blood test to confirm, so I could avoid going to the ER. She rolled her eyes and tried to fight me on it. It's routine. Test my CPK levels, tell me the results in 24 hours like a normal medical facility would do in this situation, and be done with me. I wasn't asking for oxy to sell on the street. PS she didn't put STAT on my results, so now I'm supposed to wait 3-5 business days. I could be dead by then if my levels are high enough. I'll stick to AFC in East Meadow. PS tried to call their 'after care' so someone could help me get my results and no one ever answered. read more

This place is a life saver. I went here on xmas moring because it felt like my throat was going to close because of all the swelling I had from strep throat and flu. As a native newyorker you never want to go to the doctor because you do not want to wait hours and hours to see a doctor. I literally was here for 30mins could have been less but wow. I was very happy with the service. They do mostly every test on the spot from what I know. They have other branches around the 5 boroughs but I think the ones in long island might be better. Big plus is that cvs is right down the block to fill your prescriptions. The number 1 thing that I love is this place is super clean. read more

I am so happy that they opened a urgent care center so close to my house. The copay is cheaper than going to the ER and they wait is definitely much shorter! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had the best experience at this urgent care. They were so helpful, friendly and professional. I put my name on their list this morning and assumed they forgot about me but I got a call at 6pm saying to come in. I asked if I can bring my son who was also sick and they said it would be fine. From the moment I walked in with my wound, I can't say enough of how wonderful the staff was from the reception desk to the surgical room,and of course an excellent doctor. The doctor went over my background, blood pressure, any allergies etc. before stitching my hand. They made sure that I had a tetanus shot. The facility is very clean and pleasant.
