the lady with curly hair that is at the front desk denied me and my significant other service . we previously visited for a visit cause were in the shelter. the tall African American lady said we are able to do a physical and now all of a sudden we couldn't with this lady. she gave me an attitude when she asked why we didn't come back for results of a shot we didn't need in the first place. Unreal experience why does the security guard act like a doorman? Directing me to the front desk only for me to have to go to the self checkin that I was already on my way to do. Having to say outloud to the person at the front desk that I am here to see a doctor. I mean really, am I here to do food shopping or what? hi everyone so before and during the pandemic, this place was the best but now that's not the case anymore, so within the last 2 wks., i had to go there twice and not even an x-ray was done. i have a foot that hurts and it's a little swollen, and not even any type of real attention was given except for anti-inflammatories, which did not work that's why i ended up going there twice. he/the np had told me to come if it wasn't better within a wk.& it was actually worse. he claimed my had a problem with my ligaments of this foot. also please sometimes they claimed to have sent the medication to your pharmacy & you won't get your medication till you call citymd 1-2 times there's a huge discrepancy when it comes to your medication's being properly sent to the pharmacy of your choice they gave me a a paper filled with referrals that were mostly upstate or places that were way too far from me. i do not own a car. read more

The three stars that I give this establishment are for the excellent service that I received from the receptionist/intake person, the nurse/person dressed all in blue, and the x-ray technician but unfortunately that was all tainted by the care that I received from the attending PA, Typhanie Nebo. I went in yesterday because I had fallen ten days prior. The swelling had not gone down. I had been wearing a splint that I had at home but because it didn't have enough support I purchased another one on Friday. Though the new splint said it was latex free, something in the trim caused me to break out. (It was noted in my chart that I was allergic to latex and ibuprofen.) After not wearing a splint overnight I woke up Saturday morning in extreme pain so I went in to have it x-rayed. The x-ray didn't show a break. Apparently Ms Nebo took this to mean that there was nothing wrong with my hand even though the affected area is twice the size of the same area on my left hand (which she would have noticed if she bothered to compare them) and I was in pain. She reluctantly offered me a splint. The nurse mentioned that it should be latex free so she decided to give me an ace bandage instead. She grabbed my hand and started wrapping, putting pressure on the affected area. I flinched and this seemed to annoy her. She abruptly unwrapped the bandage and told me that she didn't have to wrap my hand, there was nothing wrong with my hand, it wasn't broken, I didn't need it. I insisted on the bandage, which she applied almost as tight as a tourniquet, making sure to apply pressure to the affected area two more times. She also offered me ibuprofen... ALLERGIC! In the short amount of time that I waited to get the summary of my visit and my images the exposed fingers on my right hand and my forearm had already begun to swell. I re-wrapped the bandage when I got home and put my splint on top of it. I'll see if I can get an ortho appointment in the morning. I suggest that Ms Nebo actuallly read the chart BEFORE she begins to attend a patient and work really hard on her bedside manner (and that's being kind). *The office was clean and the service was quick. read more

This location seemed fine at first but everything was wrong: 1. Check- in was a disaster; three people at the front desk but none of them asking if they can help you; 2. Security guard standing on the steps doing nothing to ensure social distancing or the amount of people let inside at one time; 3. Ty Nebo, seemed nice but did not clean my room at all, in fact, she remembered to put a new sheet on the seat only when she saw me going tp be seated. She took my temp but rushed through everything - my vitals were off and I mentioned that, she shrugged and moved on as of this was nothing to be addressed; 4. During checkout, I was asked to put my email and contact number on a post it. I left this facility and developed a fever less than three hours later. I came in for the first time with both of my children the other day and they were seen so quickly! Within 30 mins we were called (it took a little longer being that I had to fill out some basic paperwork) but the staff was great and the doctors were great as well! They sent my medication right over to my pharmacy and we were out of there in under an hour! The place is clean and I had a wonderful experience. Will be going there again if/when needed!! read more

Today was the first time I've been to this location and I was surprised. My experience was 5 stars from start to finish. The staff welcomed me right away and I was in with the Doctor within 10 minutes. The Doctor explained everything to me and made me feel very relaxed. I did not feel rushed. I was treated by a male provider my first time there e and he was good so i didn't think twice about going back when i needed to go back. My second time, I was examined by Cristina Ho and this is the worst experience with a provider i have ever had. She not not only spoke over me but she was hostile towards me and she spoke openly about me to a nurse in a hallway. That must be a HIPAA violation and i am considering filing a complaint. She did not tell me the results of a test. I had to ask and it was and she acted as if i was inconveniencing her. If your practice is overwhelmed, downsize. If you do not have experience with a certain population, consider taking a bedside manner class or insert yourself in the community. What I hear from manager that they have reached the capacity and can't take anymore patients for Covid. I am amazed how this manager put one patient on risk just because they have reached the number. Considering we're talking about Fordham, I was blown away with just about everything. Front desk staff are extremely pleasant as was the doctor and assistant. Office is very comfy and I was in and out in no time. Considering the cleanliness of the waiting are and energy of the staff, I wouldn't care if I had to spend hours there. This is second visit to CityMD, the reason I went because they are in the neighborhood. First visit was nice because they just open. The second visit is this year, all the environment is different, they getting busy and the service is bad, the employees and the doctor all rude. I went there because I have something that concerned me badly, but the lady doctor name Christina Ho, MD doesn't even examine my body, I don't even open my coat, she refused to taking care of me because she don't think I should be treat in the urgent care, I left the room disappointed and I told the customer service that I cancel the doctor, but they still bill me 235 dollar charged to my insurance and 50 dollars for my copay. I can't afford to pay twice copay because I went to the other PCP, I am not rich but this facility try to robbed me. What a crooked! Horrible place ever! Also I try to called billing department to explained what happened, she don't care and she intimidated me that collector gonna come to me and hung up the phone very hard! Unbelievable. Went today for a sore throat and had a better experience than expected. Unfortunately, I usually have bad experiences in medical facilities in the Bronx, sadly, but this experience was great - for a doctor's visit. There was a very short wait, the facility was clean, staff were polite and nurse and doctor were thorough. I decided to go visit my local CityMD in Fordham RD with my son on Friday and I was very please with how fast and nice they staff was. As soon as I enter I was greeted with a smile and I felt very welcome then the receptionist told me to self register at their kiosk and it was a breeze. Once I was done I when back to the receptionist she ask for my I.d told me to have a seat that they will see me shortly about 10 minutes later me and my son were call by the nurse then soon after we were seen by the doctor and all was very professional they listen to all my concerns and answer all my questions. Once we were done as soon as I step back into the reception area the reception had my letters & prescriptions and he told me my prescription will be ready at my pharmacy in half in hour. I will recommend CityMD to any one who needs urgent care and don't have the time or they can't make it to they regular doctor. They staff was great and their facility was very clean. read more

I've been here a couple of times and have always been treated well and been throughly examined. Today however I had the worst encounter I've ever had a doctor. He was rude and didnt even listen to me, before he checked my ears and throat he was already prescribing me meds. No kind of my bedside manners. We were seen around 7pm tonight 6/23/17 My son was very sick with fever,strep and vomiting etc and were just treating wondering.I cant believe how wonderful they made us feel. The staff especially the 3 people that assisted us. They all went above and beyond there duty. We are so greatly.I just wish I remembered there names. The young lady who assisted taking vitals as well as the male nurse ( not sure if he is a rn) and the female doctor.
