I was 2400 miles away and he made me feel so safe during the process. And, once the movers arrived, he emailed me and told me they were loading my storage. AND, I forgot to mention I would need a lock. A few days later, I started imagining my beloved possessions were gone as I knew the movers didn't think about a lock. I never asked them to! I was so frantic about getting my things out of the basement and into a storage within 24 hours. I emailed Rick yesterday and asked if my storage was secure. He said he put a lock on it for me and has the key at the desk for when I come back to sort through things in February. He did this without me asking. No one does that without asking for payment. I truly couldn't believe it. Thank you, Rick. This company is super lucky to have you as the contact person.

I went in later & was greeted by Mike- a friendly, professional man, who showed me around & got me all set up with a better deal than I can get anywhere else in town. The facility is clean, well lit and secure, and easy to access. There is an elevator, and they also have hand trucks around so you can load up instead of carrying everything into your unit. I'd checked around for pricing & location, and this was notably the best deal in town, AND the best location. I will say, when trying to find the place, the turn off of Broadway appears to be Kindred- but the office is right there on the left as you pull in- so, look for Kindred & you're in the right place.

They won't pro-rate if you move out early (I assume that's standard). My interactions with staff have all been very positive and helpful. They lent me a hand truck for a few days- no need to fill out paperwork. I don't believe the units are climate-controlled. But they appear to be decently insulated. They have a fence around the property and security cameras everywhere, so you can feel good about your property being safe. The website says they have a truck- but there isn't one at this location. The other location does have one. I assume you could get the truck if you needed to use it, you'd just have to schedule that early. Good selection of unit sizes. From as small as 5x5 to as large as 10x40 (I believe). All prices are online and they seem fair. They also have specials from time to time, so check the website first. Recommend!

It is convenient to those living in the Highlands, Clifton, and Butchertown neighborhoods and is easy to find -- on Spring Street. I called in advance to confirm the prices and sizes of units, and Clare in the office was so upbeat and professional on the phone. I then swung by one day during office hours to check the place out and possibly get a unit. In person, Clare was just as pleasant as on the phone. She explained what they had available and I went by to check a place out. As she and I walked down a row to check the units out, we passed one unit where a lady was in grabbing some of her things. Clare chit-chatted briefly with her, giving me the distinct impression that this place actually takes an interest in those renting from them and wants to do an exceptional job. My unit was just the right size and was impeccably clean. I bought a lock, signed the contract, and began moving things in that same day. It has been such an easy process that I wonder why I never got a storage unit sooner! But this place was so fantastic I had to take the time to share my experience. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Claire, who is dynamite, by the way. I had called ahead with the type of space I needed, she was awesome and accommodating. I called ahead again the day I went to pick up keys, and she had already printed off everything and was ready to go. She taped her business card to the key cards (which I really thought was genius) and walked me through the unit I was interested in. The whole property was very clean, well-maintained, and safe. Security cameras are EVERYWHERE. I've never used a storage unit before but I had images of Storage Wars in my brain, overpacked and creepy. Not at all what's going on there. They take a lot of pride in keeping their grounds safe and clean. I was very impressed. If you need to store stuff, even temporarily, do it here. Ask for Claire, you will fall in love with her and their property, just like I did!!
