I find it truly unconscionable and unethical for the staff from the Real Estate Office of the LA County Recorder (Norwalk branch) to be acting as touts, selling the services of this disreputable "Room #145 Civic Center Notary Services" group. Instead of answering simple questions, the staff quickly recommend this PRIVATE company, unrelated to the city. They even personally accompany you to their offices. What are they getting paid to do this by CCNS??? It's all very underhanded and very cringe-worthy. Once you get there, Nancy speaks to you like you're a child. You can't get a word in edgewise. She assumes everyone coming to them is a complete moron. (Well, I would be if I actually got duped into using their services!!). She's not even an attorney or a paralegal. Not knowledgeable at all, especially the rude overweight lady at the front. I had to go to a different notary that was actually knowledgeable on the subject matter. Save your time it's not worth it even if it's right next to the clerk office. Unprofessional and not knowledgeable I would never trust them with my documents. read more

Terrible customer service. It says they open at 8:30, one older lady got there at 8:55. As soon as she got there she had a mean face and a bad attitude. She was rude when I had questions about my paperwork and was very unhelpful. If you go there , seek the younger lady that works in that office , I'm not too sure what her name was again but she was way more professional and nice. read more

I'm going to be quick! I walk in this place and as soon as I walk in there this lady with this mean face really made me wanna make a U turn and walk out. So I was welcome but a younger lady that was ok not bad customer service but the other mean looking face older lady just gave me bad customer service vibes. Just because of that I won't go back. I went to another place close by AND let me tell u what a difference as soon as I walked in there great customer service good vibes and better prices. Says it opens at 8. But when I got here a bit before 8, the front desk man said the lady usually doesn't show up until 815 or 830. So maybe change the office hours or actually come on time?? I specifically came here because it is next to the county office and it opens at 8 same as the county office. Totally defeats the benefits of this place. She finally showed up at 830 and when I complained about the time she said they actually open at 830. I took her at her words because yelp and google site i was looking at really isn't by the owner so that may be true. BUT she was just straight LYING because the flyer on the county yet lists the opening time at 8. No shame. read more

I was at Norwalk court and was in need of both a notary and legal docs expert to handle both a Affidavit of Death of Trustee & Grant Deed conveyed to me after my stepmom passing recently. I not only found their office conveniently located in the next building, a minutes walk from Recorders Office, but having Nancy Lim guide me through the process and providing excellent service was really appreciated. There's this lady Nancy asked my mom to leave the waiting room while she was filing out the forms because it's too long. And used very high tone mean voice speaking to us when performing notary services, as well as a few dirty looks when we asked some questions... why need to be rude??? it just ruin the face... hope we are the only ones who gets this quality service... sad read more

I came here thinking it would be a 10 minute process or that's what I was told, but I have been here for almost an hour and a half and still have not been helped. Instead Jessica has been talking to this family for hours instead of helping the line that is forming outside. I called ahead to see if an appointment was needed for this exact reason and I was told no, it was a quick process with a simple stamp that turned into a 2 hour wait. After visiting 4 different Notaries yesterday, where none of them actually had a Notary on site, I was so happy to find this place. The experience was quick and professional and only cost 10 bucks. I really appreciated how the Notary went through my documents carefully to make sure I had filled them out properly. What a breath of fresh air. PLUS, they are located right next to the L.A. Recorder's office so it is super convenient and you only have to park once to go to both the Notary and the Recorder's office. read more

Waste of time and money. My dad is a cancer patient so it's very hard for us to get him out of the house due to his treatments and exhaustion. We needed to get our paperwork notarized so we could pay our medical bills. Jessica told us that only my mom needed to sign the paperwork when clearly on the paper it said my dad needed to sign it as well. But for some reason she said it doesn't matter and never notarized my dad's signature. We mailed our paperwork only to get a mail back from our 401k service saying that it was not approved because my dad didn't sign it. Thanks a lot Jessica. We found a mobile notary instead because at this point my dad could not walk anymore. We literally have all the proof where my mom signed the paperwork with Jessica's notarization. My dad was also present with us when my mom was getting notarized(check your security cameras if you don't believe me and if you guys have audio on your security cameras you can also hear her telling us that only my mom needs to sign it)... why would Jessica tell my mom to sign but not my dad??? Why would we come to only get one person notarized... like are we going to come back again to get my dad's signature another day??? We also have the mail from the 401k service explaining why it didn't get approved... because he didn't sign it. We wasted our time and money because we ended having to do the whole process again. Wouldn't trust this place. They are careless. read more

Had so many problems getting documents prepared correctly. I even went to attorneys with Stanford degrees and they couldn't do as good a job as this team. I worked specifically with Nancy and she was absolutely outstanding. She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are so good I even added them to my contact list in case I have any important documents. They are also conveniently located next door to the LA County Registrar, so it is a good idea to stop by here before you go there to make sure all your documents are in order.
