I was a mechanic but can't do everything in my yard or on my own anymore so I started using Driven because they were originally 5 minutes from me in Upper Hammonds Plains. Their work has always been top notch and I'm picky. When my mother-in-law was still driving, I sent her to Driven and they were really good to her and she liked them. This is unfortunately not every senior woman's experience in getting car work done. The only problem I've ever had with Driven is them doing work beyond the scope of my initial appointment without my approval. Hard to fault them for wanting to make everything right. Not everyone has the capability to possibly fix the next issue themselves like I do.

It's a place where you can find quality parts and surplus parts at cheap prices AND their warranty is exceptionally - "If you aren't happy, bring it back and get your money back." I've done that on a couple of occasions when I had bought some piece on 'spec' that it would fit, but didn't - they honoured their pledge: No questions asked! Now their stores are in many larger Canadian cities and I look for them and spend my free time there when the wife is doing her thing at some girly store - Actually, she sometimes likes to browse there too.

It has everything, tools, power units (chippers, generators, etc), trailer accessories, welding, the list goes on. The house brand is POWER FIST, and i have mixed feelings on it. The prices seem to be as good or slightly better than the Mastercraft (Cdn tire brand) but i don't feel the quality is on the same field, althoguh close. Do i own Power Fist tools? Hell yeah, for what i do, i usually go with the best price! Yes the place seems like it is in disarray, with stuff everywhere, but spend a little time in there and it makes sense. Although that could be due to my ever increasing insanity. Need a tool for something to do at home, keep this place on the list of places you search. You just may be surprised.

Got my brakes and rotors done, front and back, my bill was under half the price at Midas, speedy, dealership or any other quote I got. Beyond prices, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and nobody there seemed to be trying to make me spend more on servicing my vehicle, in fact, it was just the opposite! No real complaints from me, just maybe a visible sign and to clearly mark which door is the main entrance. (Although it is funny to watch people walk the front of the building looking dazed and confused as to how to enter this impregnable fortress)

Took my car over and asked to have my contacts from battery to starter cleaned up and left it there…read morefor 5 days and when I picked it up and asked if they did what I asked, they said yes we cleaned the battery terminals. And did you clean the starter contacts like I asked and they danced around the question and made it sound like they did and when I got home home and looked well they didn't and so I got charged for something that wasn't done and car still has same issue so had to do it myself and now it works fine. Don't waste your time and money on these idiots
