Both dishes showed some real creativity in the kitchen. But what really sets R Wine Bar & Kitchen apart is the environment. This place has a vibe. I ended up meeting some cool people traveling through from Tennessee and had some of the best conversations I've had at a bar. Really friendly people all around. That kind of atmosphere can't be manufactured. The Verdict: R Wine Bar & Kitchen is the real deal. We had previously already has cocktails, so we were only there for food and that's what we ordered. I ordered the Nero pasta which is a squid ink pasta, drenched in a creamy lemon-garlic sauce, topped with seared scallions and some cherry tomatoes. The whole dish came together and wow, it was delicious. I believe this has been the best pasta dish I've ever had, well worth the $40 price tag on this.
