She has mastered the art of being there when you need her while also giving you your space if you need it. The entire house had a nice, laid back charm with all of the modern conveniences that you'll need. I loved sitting on the quiet back porch, while my teen daughter enjoyed the free wifi to do whatever she needed to do. The evening appetizers and wine were lovely, and she even offered tea or lemonade to my daughter. In the morning, we came down to fresh brewed coffee and coffee cake to munch on while she made our breakfast. Nancy was the perfect host, she gave great recommendations for enjoying the area, and even gave us great tips for visiting Chicago when we left - she is a former resident.

We pay premium for a lake front chalet, view of lake is gone what I get to look as is a sand berm with boulders. I understand the lake is higher then usual but adding a five foot berm seem excessive. I also don't understand why I was not told in advance that the view was gone, or a discount was not given as lake front cost is higher then other chalets. Got to say I am rethinking next year

The third floor room had its own bath and a king bed and it had a room air conditioner. The room was comfortable. I slept great, but my husband did not like the softness of the memory foam pillow topper mattress. There are great common areas such as the wide front porch on the lake side that has a generous number of rocking chairs and some porch swings. There are steps down to the quiet Lake Michigan beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. Coffee was great and the quiche and fruit breakfast was delicious.

It is Polish owned, operated, and frequented. Which is great because my husband's family are Polish immigrants and they had fun talking with all of the people there. Everyone there knew English and were super friendly so don't be discouraged if you aren't Polish. There were a ton of families that were staying here in the end of July when we were here. I thought it was awesome that everyone around us stayed up super late sitting around the campfires singing, cooking, and drinking. My husband and I stayed in an A frame cabin which was adorable and had a big private fire pit with chairs all around it. Only draw back was it didn't have any AC. We got lucky and the nights were cool. My in-laws stayed in on of the large pines and they had an AC unit. At $75 a night you can't go wrong. I am definitely planning on coming back here again with a big group of friends next spring.

Then there were added bonuses: screened in porch complete with mason jar lighting and fan, koi pond with lily pads and bull frogs to ease you into sleep, your own clean modern bathroom with plush towels and nice showers, a kitchen with any utensils you may need. This place is seriously unreal with quaint, calm vibes. I left feeling incredibly refreshed, and immediately wanting to book another stay. Dogs are welcome here, and mine seemed right at home. She quickly figured out how to let herself out of the screened porch, and was happy to explore the cabin. Also it's within a 15 minute drive from the Grand Mere State Park with a dog friendly beach. This place is excellent for groups, since the price is very reasonable if you have 4-6 people stay in a cabin. I recommend Harbor Country Cabins to anyone looking for a short summer respite.

I highly recommend this place for those thinking about a family reunion, bachelor party get away, or any other big gathering of approximately 30 people. my wife recently got married. before the wedding ceremony we decided to bring both our large families together for 2 night 3 days at HCC. We worried about a number of things, but it turned out to be a fantastic family gathering. It easily accommodated about 30 of us. My parents brought there fifth wheel, and parked in the drive way. there was plenty of parking. For fun we cooked together (there is a grill, microwave) talked around the fire and we went across the street to the park and played a bunch of games. HCC has a lot of games available for guest already there. the beds were great. it's my kind of glamping - Glamorous camping. my wife and i were worried about the street and traffic noise and danger, but it didn't prove to be a problem. and lastly, Nicollete who runs the HCC, is ridiculously helpful and kind.

Coloma provides great restaurants, shops, and even a very affordable movie theater. Paw paw lake is a clean, good size lake for all water sports alike and perfect for relaxing boat rides. The view of the stars from the fire is magnificent. The owner is sweet and accommodating for all. For our annual two week stay, there is no place we would rather be.

We had a large group and opted for a private bus. Dan showed up about 5 minutes early, had a nice shuttle with the A/C cranked and some music playing. It was extremely comfortable. He took us to the wineries we selected, catered to every need from carrying items back to the bus to grabbing umbrellas when it started to rain and even snapping many pics throughout the day. He even had Vince at Lemon Creek come out to tell us about all the wines we were trying. Dan's customer service was the cherry on top to an already memorable day.

Awesome fun space in Cassopolis, Michigan! Becky is so sweet and treats everyone like family…read more Watching her hang out with her alpacas and getting to meet Bacchus, the resident dog, was a treat! We spent the first morning there just taking photos of the incredible property and antiques! We were a five minute drive from Diamond Lake and spent the day kayaking. That night we made popcorn and watched a movie in the barn. There is a projector so it was like a private theater complete with a big antique couch to snuggle on! Our bedroom was so comfy and the down blankets felt like the best thing ever after our long afternoon on the water! In the morning, I took a bubble bath while my husband cooked a delicious frittata with farm fresh eggs and peppers right from Becky's garden! Talk about a killer breakfast! After breakfast, we drove up to Warren Dunes and spent the afternoon climbing Tower Hill and swimming. We hit up several fun antique shops on the way back, and stopped into Vaselyks to pick up some smoked pork chops that we cooked up over the fire! We made smores for dessert and laid out under the stars. Becky even made us some chocolate chip cookies from scratch that we nibbled on! I can't tell you how great it was to reconnect with nature and enjoy such a fabulous romantic weekend in the country!
