Her shop is amazing - full of fascinating crafts from lots of different artists, and she herself makes gorgeous stained glass! I was looking around in their area and overheard the tea. They were very unprofessional and bad mouthing what sounded to be an employee. As they were complaining about what she wasn't doing in their store. They were very loud and I just felt uncomfortable. I gave them another chance since I really loved their items and didn't have the money at the time of the Fair. I went again and this time it was worse... with whomever this "B" woman is in their store. I won't say a name as it is unbelievable how they spoke of this woman to each other while I was shopping. It wasn't like I was easedropping they were oblivious I was even there.. Uncomfortable would be the key word for this business. Not impressed with the unprofessional behavior of the women who seemed to be running it.

And of course I find a lot of things I don't need, too! One of my favorite t-shirts came from here; it's got their store logo, which is an adorable little steampunk anglerfish. I'm so obsessed that I got a sticker with the same logo on it this trip (also, they have a lot of awesome stickers). On top of that, the staff are super friendly and welcoming! There's one delightful woman who has been there the last couple times, and she's a joy to chat with. I wish I had asked her name. I work retail myself, and she exudes the same warmth I try to give to all of my customers, too. It's not always an easy job, but you can tell when someone genuinely wants to make customers feel at home in their space and takes pride in their job. Also, I'm really obsessed with coming back and getting an anglerfish sweatshirt now.

But what really blew me away is that 18 months later, when I lost the original receipt and needed a replacement to file a reimbursement (this situation reveals something about my general level of organization), Colin emailed me one within one minute of my asking for it. This is as good as it gets in terms of personal attention and turnaround... they were able to immediately and perfectly compensate for my screwup in losing the receipt.
