The drive out to Cheshire from where we live in Eugene took us about 20 minutes and we saw lots of sheep on the way :) When we arrived, we followed the signs directing us to the top of the hill and main house. A nice, older couple was outside at a table spread with hot cocoa, candy canes and small free thank you gifts for customers (coloring books and crayons for kiddos, and we took home a stovetop potpourri packet that smells so good!) I told them it was our first time visiting and they gave us the scoop on which field to go to for the size tree we were looking for, where to park, etc. Super easy! It is a u-cut farm and saws are available to borrow if you don't bring your own. I find it so relaxing to walk along the tree fields and our young daughter loved being able to select exactly which tree and "help" Dad cut it down. This year (2024) the pricing was $8 per foot on their Douglas firs, which is very reasonable. We'll definitely be back for next year's tree!

They are open for business with their reasonably wonderfully priced trees and they're beautifully made wreaths, handmade wreaths, and they are now selling really awesome hats, it is such a sweet little farm with really nice people!! you get a cookie and candy cane, hot cocoa, coffee with every tree purchase we love this little farm. They have a variety of trees types to choose from at different costs though--Douglas, Grand, Noble, Frasier, etc. Hand saws, hot drinks (cocoa and cider), candy canes, and homemade cookies are all provided with a nice little stove to warm up by if it's cold--which it was! We were excited to find a store that specialized in pools and spas! The most *unfortunate part is the owner. We went in to simply buy hot tub test strips. We were side swiped by the owner who was going to 'help us' She treated us as though we were being screened for adopting a child. She was anxious with a superior tone that would make anyone feel scolded. It was uncomfortable to be around her. There was no browsing or space to look for the supplies-because she definitely owned the room. We wore masks and were respectful to maintain social distance. We simply were quiet and stayed on task asking for test strips. She went on and on about how she 'always has to educate people about their spas.' He voice was loud and she would eye each of us-looking us up and down. At one point my boyfriend said, 'so do you not want to sell us the test strips?' After we were scolded and schooled on our spa we left feeling just icky. Why would anyone ever shop there? Best wishes if you dare to enter....

Everyone is so friendly and a local school athletic department sends teams who help with picking out your tree and spinning it so you get a total look at the tree before you buy it, and then they carry it to your vehicle. You can make a contribution to the team at the time you pay for your tree. Your tree is put through the shaker and then banded so it's easy to transport to your home. When you get home, put the tree in the stand and then cut the banding off and your beautiful tree is ready to decorate. They have lots of things for kids and if you want to cut down your own tree, you have that option too! Check out Carroll's Country Christmas Trees! When they measured the lady in charge said it was 8 feet by an inch so they would charge extra. Every year places normally have the bottom sawed off so the tree can absorb water longer . But they wouldn't do that just to keep the extra inch to charge an extra $20. We felt overcharged and I had to get out my hand saw at home to saw the bottom myself. They gained an extra $20 but lost a future customer.
