If you can get in, they are good. Unfortunately, we can rarely get our two dog an appointment. If your pet has any illness or injury, expect to be referred to an emergency vet who will charge you double. I'm changing vets because my 4 year old dog is limping and the first available appointment is July first, over a month out. It's not bad enough for an emergency visit, but waiting a month is out of the question.

It's been exactly 5 weeks since my last appointment and Dr. Boyle is amazing!!! They doubled my cats medication and my cat went from having multiple asthma attacks a week to not having a single asthma attack. I'm so grateful to Dr. Boyle. No other veterinarian had suggested increasing from one pump to two pumps (daily asthma inhaler) but this small change has made a huge difference in both my pets life and my life. Eternally grateful to Dr. Boyle.

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION Okay so before I start this rant let me clarify that we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but it was honestly too many mistakes for that to happen. If you don't want to read this whole rant long story short is they made too many unbeliveably bad calls that put our dogs well being in danger and kept draining us for money the entire time. Its like they made those mistakes on purpose to bleed us dry. So me and my roommate adopted a German Sheperd Husky mix so hes a pretty big boy. Another disclaimer we know he's not the most calm easy going dog but around humans he is no problem its other dogs where he's reactive. But either way we know he's a handful. The shelter we got him from reccomended clackamas pet clinic as one of the places for neutering so we made an appointment with them. We saw reviews and saw that it had good ones so we decided to trust the internet. Rest of review is in photos yelp wont let me post it but I can't trim this story because their mistakes are emphasized on the details.

I will always take my cats here. They take such good care of us. Dr. Montell is amazing. They genuinely care about my animals, have affordable prices, and they are so patient and kind. I was really overwhelmed with my kitten who was having all sorts of problems- three vet trips in a week- they were so patient even when I cried in the office. My fur baby is doing so much better now and I trust them to take him back if he has any flare ups. They also ALWAYS call the next day after a visit- even if it's a routine checkup. They always make sure I don't have any questions and that my pets are still healthy the next day. I don't feel like me or my pets are forgotten about. They let you bring your pet in person. So many vet clinics still make you wait in the car and that scares me when my cat is in resonators distress. Clackamas Pet Clinic let's you come in and I feel like my cat is safe there. Heck, I feel safe there! A new doctor just started there a couple weeks ago- I'm happy that their practice is growing! I will never go anywhere else.

I am so glad I found the Clackamas Pet Clinic. What a great pet clinic. The staff are working twice as hard keeping us and our pets healthy. You need to call first and then they come to your car... you wait there ...and then they will call u while they do the exam. Prices very reasonable... but there customer service is over the top. They were great and the call back the next day was . They wanted to know how everyone was doing Cheers Cindy

Everyone seems incompetent and you should except to wait 30+ minutes even with an appointment. Very disappointing and annoying experience.

About 6 weeks ago Douglas, our two year old dachshund, had a mobility issue that suddenly occurred. I took him to the emergency hospital here in Eugene, and was notified he needed to see a Neurologist. My vet the next morning referred me to VCA in Clackamas. From the moment Douglas and I walked in we were treated with nothing but top shelf care. Dr. Korff examined Douglas then made her recommendation of surgery that was needed to try to save Douglas' ability to walk. The next 24 hours were rough. When I picked him up we were told that the surgery had gone great. The team at VCA had taken amazing care of Douglas. We were sent home with medications and instructions. For the next five weeks we did everything that we were instructed to do. We had our follow up appointment this past week. We were sent home with a glowing report! Dr. Korff said he looked great, and would continue to get stronger! I want to thank everybody at VCA for caring for Douglas and coaching me through his rehabilitation. I would highly recommend them for any care your pet may need. A++ Grade. Thank you so much!

Tears were flowing BIG time but the vet was kind and comforting. A family friend, Shannon, happens to work here as well and having her there made all the difference. She spoiled our dog with yummy snacks and loved on her along with the rest of us as we said our goodbyes. You can truly tell how much the employees here love animals. Although I wish this appointment never had to happen, it went as well as it possibly could have. Once all was said and done, we never felt rushed out of the room. We sat and shared stories, gave our girl love, and cried some more. Shannon was very generous and gave us each a little bag filled with fur. One of the more unsettling parts of losing a pet is leaving them behind for the final time, but everyone assured us that even though she had passed, our dog would not be left in the room alone. They took great care of her and us. I never want this day to come with our other pets, but when it does, I feel good knowing the team here will handle it with just as much love and care.

I believe it is because he is getting ready to retire so he has stopped truly caring about the pets he is treating. I contacted the clinic yesterday and was told in order to talk to the Dr. I had to have a phone appt. It was $85, I talked to the vet for 5 minutes. He prescribed 4 anti anxiety pills for my dog that is injured, has not eaten or drank anything for 5 days and can't walk. I can't get a leash on him as he is partially feral. Vet said one pill will knock him out. No, over 7 hours I gave him all 4 pills because he was having no response to the drugs. When I called later to talk to the vet and maybe have him prescribe something stronger, he wouldn't call me and just had the receptionist call me. She said "he will not give you any more medications and to call Animal Control". What? No, Animal Control is not responsible for picking up owners dogs. Never has been and never will be. I am not sure why the vet did not know this since he is/was a vet. May I say 'duh'? When I told the inexperienced and horribly rude person on the phone I would not be back, she hung up on me. I did not cuss and did not yell so why? I have given this vet at least $2000 this year alone and that was just for 2 teeth cleanings on tiny dogs. If you go to this clinic, this situation is going to happen to you and your pet/pets eventually. There are at least 3 other vets in the immediate area. I won't be going back there. Ever.

And an even longer two or three weeks before that fighting to get him to eat. Like others here, Kevin was closer to me than my human family. I was busy with the doctors in ER so my partner called in to make the appointment to ease my stress. He said I was primary contact, but it was difficult to make that clear all the way until the day so communications were continually going to him. Not a big deal in the overall picture, but it didn't make the experience any easier. This was my cat for 8 years before I met my partner and while he loved my baby, I was the one with the lifelong bond. The doctor showed up within the time window allotted. We both found her a little cold. I felt like we were just a job and everything was done by number. My BF picked up my cat and carried him to me, but the doctor said we should do paperwork first which resulted in me putting him down after building up to do what I deemed impossible. I was emotional and crying. This really should somehow be handled before the visit. There were corrections to be made on the form. I was about to lose my baby and this only made me aware that I was filling out his death warrant. I am utterly heartbroken. I know holding your baby until the last minute is catharsis and closure, but I found it traumatizing. His passing was peaceful at least. Everyone's goodbye will be unique, and my example will not necessarily match what others experience. Everyone we spoke to was professional. I just wasn't feeling the compassion.
