Husband placed the order online then called the owner to work out the details. I got a call the week of Christmas by a friendly lady who said I had a gift to pick up. I stopped in and the lovely lady came out from the back, same pleasant lady from last year. She wrapped the gift beautifully again in green paper with silver snowflakes. My husband wanted me to open on Christmas Eve and I am pleased to find that the gift is a delicate pair of silver hoop earrings. They are lightweight and comfortable. I love silver hoops of any size and these are a slightly smaller size than I own. A nice surprise and a smooth transaction.

Their checkout is really bad though. I dislike standing in a long line because of painful back trouble. They let the line get really long, then play favorites with who can go next, leaving me waiting in severe pain. When I made a complaint, both staff and customers were sarcastic and nasty about it. Very poor customer service compared to other locations I've been to.

You could try something really cheap individually before buying an entire box. They also always had so many food items I never saw anywhere else. The furniture was always reasonable and comfortable. Big Lots had something for everyone whether it was toys, kitchen items, seasonal, men's, women's , pets and many other categories. Clothing wise, it's got so much stuff on the men's side. I do think it lacked a bit in household goods and unique finds. It was well stocked for Christmas and had Christmas trees in his own little section and plenty of Christmas sweaters. If you're smart you could do your Christmas shopping here. the treatment of their employees is very rude. One of their employees was fired for no reason 3…read morehours before her shift was done and was told she would not receive her pay nor her 5 days vacation that was owed. She was always on time, never missed a day of work. The only explanation was that she had given a customer a discount which was clearly stated in their flyer. No wonder they can't keep employees.
