I visited Claire's yesterday with my friends and I decided I was going to have my ears re-pierced for my second piercing. Kimberly did a fantastic job explaining to me the whole process she kept me calm. She remarked my old holes in my ears and let me take a look at them prior to the piercing. After she completed both ears, she explained my ear care for the next three weeks. I truly experienced great service. Good selection of earrings and the valuable value was reasonably priced. Came here to redeem my monthly free earring coupon for the month of July. The store was fairly busy. There was only one lady working the store and she was helping a family whose baby was getting their ears pierced. It was taking so long. The store employee looked over and said that the other employee would be coming in at 2. Finally, someone came out from the back and assisted the lady in front of me and myself with our purchases. The person who helped me with my piercing was really kind and patient, but I think that the price for what I got was too much. It's my first time trying to get a cartilage piercing so I just went to Claire's only later to find out that it's not really the best place for piercings since they use a piercing gun. The price I paid was $75. It did come with the solution and one earring but honestly does not feel like it was worth the price. read more

Do not get your kids ears pierced at Clair's or more importantly do not buy their earrings. My daughter (10) ended up in the ER with the gem of the earrings we got with the piercing at Clair's. The earing logged in her ear lope due to very tight fitting. Had to take my daughter to ER to remove by doctor. She is traumatized from this experience and does no longer want to get her ears pierced nor wear any earrings. This should not happen to a 10 year old who was so excited to get her ears pierced. Clair's does not want to take responsibility for this incident because it was my sister who took my daughter to get her ears pierced, even though I have text messages that proof that I approved her going with my sister (53 years old and highly responsible) to get her ears pierced. This is the first review that I have ever written in my life, but I feel highly obligated to let other parents know that the quality of the earrings that Clair's is selling is very poor! Both Laura & Kat were very caring and reassured me that the whole process would be quick and painless. True to their word, my daughter cried for less than a minute and was soon over it. Went to get my second earlobe piercing here on Sunday and I asked for the ball earrings but instead they accidentally pierced me with diamond earrings that significantly costed more. I pointed it out to the woman and she apologized and disappeared to find the right earrings. She took a few minutes and came back saying there weren't anymore in stock so I settled for the 3 mm ball earrings. She began to take off the mistaken earrings and struggled to take off the one of my right ear, which should've been a sign that something was wrong. I noticed the next morning that it was very tender and irritated. I noticed that there wasn't much space between my earlobe and the backing of the earring. I thought that it was just that my earlobe was too thick or that the earring was too small, but it was much worse. They pierced my ear crooked, making there earring go through more of my skin, reducing the space needed for it to heal. I called the store again on Monday and all the woman could tell me was to take the earrings out and offer to repierce them. I was not offered a refund and didn't take the free repiercing because I no longer trusted them to do so. PSA, CLAIRS EMPLOYEES ARE NOT CERTIFIED TO GIVE PIERCINGS. read more

Please, please, please DO NOT pierce your baby's ears at Claire's, especially this location. My husband and I had good faith that our daughter's ears would be pierced correctly. I've heard that a piercing needle is better than a piercing gun, nonetheless we trusted that they would at least be done properly. The woman that pierced our daughter's ears did not pierce straight through her earlobe. Instead she angled the piercing gun upward and pierced THROUGH THE CARTILAGE of her ears. My husband and I are devastated that this was our experience. We removed the earrings less than twelve hours from when they were pierced. $120 plus tax gone for an unacceptable piercing. Claire's really should discontinue their piercing offer all together for the safety of children. They take advantage of parents that may not know better - and I feel like I should've known better. Please find a local, professional piercing shop to pierce your baby's and children's ears. There are some in the Orange County area, I promise. read more

We took our daughter to get her ears pierced with the Ear lady. She was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable with the whole procedure. She was very experienced and knew what she was doing. Just within the 20 min we were there she did three piercings on little girls from a few months old to maybe 8 years old. Then as Laura was doing my daughter's piercing, again she was very nice and put my daughter at ease. She proceeded on explaining how to care for the pierced ears. Zoey the manager there is awesome! I cannot thank her enough for having so much patience with piercing my 7 year old daughter's ears. She was the only person working on a Saturday and my daughter was so nervous getting her ears pierced. My daughter had been asking and asking to get it done so I finally gave in. After the 1st was was done, my daughter who has no 0 threshold for pain didn't want to go through with other ear. It took about an hour of convincing her to get the other ear done. Don't waste your time here. My friends 2 month old baby had an unfortunate time there when attended by Jennifer the "manager". Baby Aaliyah had to get pierced twice on the same ear for wrong placing. To top it off the dumb piercing gun sucked because it would get stuck when piercing into the ear. The need to take it off from Aaliyah's ear those two times to get her piercing and deal with a faulty piercing gun that would get stuck, you can just imagine how much baby Aaliyah had to go through recently. Jennifer was not being simpithetic at that idea that a sweet baby was going through pain. The least my friend (baby mom) deserved was an apology and a free service. But no, my friend has to pay for the full service for one pierced ear and come back to get the 2nd ear pierced. After the struggle Jennifer faced to give baby Aaliyah a good service my friend didn't want to have her baby getting her 2nd ear pierced. Who can blame her right? My daughter has such a fear of needles but desperately wanted to get her ears pierced. HUGE shout out to SAV who went the extra mile to make my daughter feel comfortable and do her best to calm her down. She even went and bought her a lollipop when she found out they ran out behind the counter. She was incredibly patient and could see my daughter was trying to muster up the courage. Over an hour and about 3 "almost" ear piercing tries later, we didn't get them done, but I have to tip my hat to Sav for keeping it cool and making my daughter feel as welcome as possible. Me, mother and My 5 year old went to Claire's on Saturday May 26th 2018 around lunchtime at the Outlets in Orange to look for clips for my daughter. The female working was so rude to us and acting like we were up to no good. (There were some adorable butterfly hair clips I wanted to get.) We were the only ones in there, she was following us around so I asked her if there were any more? I had my hands full of items I wanted to purchase while holding several other bags from other shops and one slipped out of my hand and dropped into the build a Bear bag AS I was talking to her, and I picked it back out immediately. And she said she is calling security. I was so shocked with her accusation I was shaking! We are a Christian family just out shopping for my daughter and mothers birthdays! We are honest hard working Americans. Then to top it off she mentioned something about the stuffed animal in my bag.. I had 2, one My daughter brought with her, and the build a Bear she had just bought. Both items not even sold in that store. She was unbelievably rude, she embarrassed me in front of my daughter on her birthday and my mother as well. We will be calling corporate about our treatment at this location. We were looking for a location for our daughter's 10th birthday. We walked into Claire's and saw a sign referring hosting a party at Claire's. We contacted the manager and she explained how it could work, pick a theme, bring your closet friends and have a shopping spree, face painting and all around good time. We chose a Saturday morning and the staff on hand handled everything from there. They were dressed in Day of The Dead themed costumes and treated each guest like a princess. The party location itself didn't cost anything, we just paid for supplies for face painting and let each girl pick their items on the shopping spree. The buy 3 get 3 free worked great for this. Can't say enough about all the staff there, professional and treated each of the girls at the party like their little sisters. Every time we've gone back the workers remember us. We took coffee and donuts for our guest and lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings after. I would highly recommend checking Claire's out for your next party. read more
