I popped into this Claire's on a whim RIGHT before closing time in hopes that i might be able to get my ears re-pierced. Everything was great but what made me choose to leave a review was the service by Georgia. I mentioned that they had been pierced but YEARS prior and instead of attempt to pierce them again, she delicately and methodically eased an earring into both ears and just charged me for the jewelry. I went in to get a third lobe piercing 2 days ago. The first ear went fine. When the piercer (Andrea) went to do the second ear, she pierced through her glove, which was then stuck to my ear with the earring. She first had me try to pull the backing off, but I couldn't get it myself, and it was painful to wiggle it around. Her solution was to get an old pair of scissors from the cash register and try to cut it off. She assured me it was good to go and she got all of the glove off. I was not mad- everyone makes mistakes and has bad days, and I'm the last person to judge someone for an honest slip up. What has me absolutely LIVID now is that she lied about getting all of the glove. After 48 hours, the site was getting more and more swollen and tender, and so I asked my aunt to take a look at the back. She immediately saw a large piece of white plastic stuck under the backing. It was not at all difficult to see. We ended up removing the earring to get the piece of glove out and then I managed to sanitize and get the earring back in (not sure that was a good idea, we will see how it heals). It is so painful and swollen now, I could barely get the backing on. If she had been honest, I could have at least remedied this situation before having a latex glove stuck to the wound and irritating it for 2 days. Fingers crossed that lots of cleaning and gentle care keep this from getting worse. ***Update: changing review from 1 to 4 stars because the manager called me and refunded me for my piercing and was apologetic and assured me this was against Claire's policies and procedures. I feel like the manager and assistant manager did everything they could to make it right! Frequent epsom salt soaks seem to be keeping infection at bay as well so I'm optimistic that I will not need a re-pierce (but was told by the manager that he would re pierce for free if I did need it) read more

The store walls are stocked top to bottom. I understand their trying to take advantage of every square inch but it's nearly impossible to reach items waaay high up standing at an average person's height. It would be great if they offered a grabber reach tool that customers can use to access those hard-to-reach items. Employees needing to haul a step stool between Claire's tight spaces seems so cumbersome. I makes the whole experience tedious. read more

I recently had my ears pierced and opted for the "rapid results" aftercare opportunity. The disinfectant is supposedly stronger, better, healing faster. Guess what folks. The disinfectant is BLEACH. When I contacted the store they told me it was not bleach, it was "sodium hypoclorite" which is BLEACH!! (Look it up). They told me to call the corporate number and address it with their customer service staff. I've called twice, had to leave a message and have not heard a single peep from those folks. Nothing. Crickets. Hence this review. read more

Okay, so Claire's is a junky place. They have phone cases that are easy to break, (a lot more breakable things), scrunchies that are not good quality, makeup things, and more that is pretty much useless. Also, the phone cases there are SO EXPENSIVE. $15 is way too much for a breakable, bad quality, phone case. Now that I think about it for what it is, it's way too expensive. The only reason this review got more than one star is because most of the people who worked there were really nice. read more

Went to get my daughter's ears pierced last Sunday (3/23/14). Arrived just before noon to find the store was not opened yet. I asked guest services about it so they had someone start making calls. Another 30 minutes of waiting for the store to open over 90 minutes late. One person shows up to open the store and several customers came rushing in behind us. The sales person rang up all of the customers PRIOR to helping us even though we were the first ones there abd had waited outside the store for over 30 minutes. Then after piercing my daughters ears, he then began to ring up another line of customers PRIOR to us until half way through anOther employee appeared and asked how long i had been waiting. Then she apologized profusely and told the guy that opened the store late to help me. In only 4 days... the earrings have fallen apart. All that is left are the posts. read more

I was visiting Claire's and was looking for a specific thing. I asked where it was and they showed me. A few moments later this worker piercing this girls ears got his co-worker to go over to him and he pointed to us. Keep in mind we had some makeup on so we looked a little different. Anyways the girl was watching us and following us around the store we put the earrings back and we were about to leave. Just then we were stopped at the door and accused of stealing a bunch of items! They started yelling and we're refusing to believe a word we said, they even threatened to call higher authority. It was super rude, embarrassing, and really made us feel bad about ourselves, my younger friend was even about to treat up. The girl had to correct him and said "They out it back". Anyways the totally atmosphere and people was very uncomfortable and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Stay away!!!!! read more

I came to the Claire's store not once like most people but twice to try to get my ears pierced. The first time I came with my grandma and the sales clerk did not let me get them pierced so the second time I came with my sister who is also my legal guardian because my parents are gone and I could not get them pierced yet again. The male associate mentioned in the previous comment by @shannonb is actually the sweetest most genuine employee and always makes us feel so welcome and my girls love him. He pierced their last year and always asks how they're doing with them. it does help that he is very easy on the eyes. My girls are just enamored with him it's so sweet.
