When I gave it to her for inspection, she immediately noticed tears in the lining of the zipper that I'd hadn't noticed myself. That's when I knew she had an eagle eye and I was working with an expert. I picked up the skirt exactly 7 days later (for $10 less than I paid at the other shop for a zipper replacement) and the work was so pristine that I almost thought they hadn't gotten to it yet. It's a whole new zipper from top to bottom that looks exactly like the faulty one. This place is the BEES KNEES! I ran into another customer at the shop who assured me they were the best! After searching briefly, he admitted they couldn't find them and asked me to wait while they continued looking. I waited for an hour and a half while they assisted numerous other customers before it became clear they had lost my shoes. The issue wasn't simply that my shoes were misplaced--mistakes can happen. It was the complete lack of accountability and customer service. Rather than apologizing, offering a refund, discussing reimbursement, or presenting any reasonable solution, I was met with excuses, shifting explanations about their turnaround time, and an attitude that suggested I was the inconvenience. The owner ultimately told me he wasn't going to continue discussing the matter because he needed to help other customers. A business entrusted with customers' property should have procedures in place for situations like this. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and working toward a resolution, they refused to take responsibility for losing property that I had already paid them to repair. I've worked with shoe repair businesses for years and have never experienced anything like this. Losing a customer's property is bad enough; refusing to accept responsibility or make any effort to resolve the situation is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this business. If something goes wrong with your property, don't expect accountability, professionalism, or a fair resolution.
