So I was totally unprepared for the genuine friendliness, attention, helpfulness and general good vibes at the Everlane store on Abbot Kinney. This is my second time shopping at Everlane; 1st time at this location and it was an enjoyable experience. The Venice location is bigger than the store I had gone to in Palo Alto. There were more options to choose from and I didn't feel like people were forced to crowd around each other due to limited space. The employees there were all very nice and acknowledged me. I didn't know what my size was so I started grabbing various sizes of things I liked and hoped 1 of them would fit. Someone was kind enough to come up and offer me a dressing room when they saw all the clothes I was carrying lol It seems that there isn't a clothing item limit, otherwise I definitely would have hit it. The woman at the dressing room was super helpful and grabbed more sizes whenever the 1s I had picked up weren't working. And anything they didn't have at the store I could order. Thankfully, I only had to order 1 pair of jeans and it only took about 3 days for them to arrive in the mail. The store was having a sale so I was able to grab multiple pairs of jeans. Everlane is one of the few places I can shop at and find jeans that fit me well. I wish the pant legs were longer so that they would go past my ankles, but I think this is just the style that is trending and shopping for jeans is already hard enough. I also splurge on a dress that was too cute and fit too well for me to pass up. I tried it on thinking it wasn't going to even look that good (on me) and I was very wrong - fits like a glove. I definitely spent more money than I intended to, but I did save money at the same time so it could have been worse. I want to start off by saying that the staff at this location is beyond amazing. It's not every day you come across a place of business that's willing to take a true altruistic step to help someone in need of help. I came in because I was dropped off right in front of the store by my Uber. I realized a second later that my phone had fallen out of my pocket in the backseat. I walked into the store for help and the staff didn't hesitate to help me call a cab and try to call my phone (even though I came in with sort of a panic attack). And Jose in particular is an absolute diamond. Even though this isn't a shopping review, I want to spotlight the level of kindness and customer service this team had. Unfortunately I have visited this location for the last time. My family and I were never acknowledged upon entry to the store. Several workers were talking about personal things and I ever overheard several explicit words - mind you this is on the sales floor. Additionally, the selection offered is minimal and when I finally HAD to ask for help, I was told that most of time they have to order things for customers based on assumptions of how the customer looks and wants the items to fit. During this shopping experience, the store was not very busy and proper attention to the customers was not given. Instead of talking to each other about last nights happenings or todays "plans after work," assistance should be provided to retail customers. Lastly, the quality of the clothing is subpar. I would expect a higher quality product for the price Everlane charges for their clothing. We will not be visiting again and will be taking our patronage elsewhere. read more

Parking: Street meter parking, they're located right at the end corner of Abbott Kinney Inside: Incredibly clean and aesthetic, however, not a lot of space to walk around. Their selection seemed a bit limited, and their fitting room seems to have larger space. Shoe selection display was a lot more disappointing than the SF location. Wahoo! Finally a brick and mortar store! I don't do online shopping as much mainly because the fittings almost always fail. Also dislike the hassle of returning items. Hence, I was super stoked to see Everlane come to real life! I've been following Everlane from their early days when they were selling quality t-shirts. I still have my black tee from years ago and the quality has stood the test of time. For this LA location, they have the theme "100% LA" which is pretty cool. It is a spinoff of their 100% Human concept. They gave me a tote with my purchase and even the tote is top quality- heavier cotton and sturdy. This is why I appreciate the brand- they really put quality work in both big and small items. Now for the store- It's located in Abbot Kinney which has plenty of hip cafes, fashions brands, and restaurants. Everlane definitely fits in. I went at morning time on a Friday and there was no line to get in. There was however a line for the fitting room. You give the staff your phone number and they text you when the fitting room is available. I didn't mind as much as I was not in a hurry so I strolled to get some coffee while waiting. The entrance to the fitting room is real fancy- it's like a minimalist rainbow lighting- I never tried on their jeans before but I loved that they have different lengths. As someone who is 5'3" I grabbed the cropped mid-rise jeans which fit perfectly. The staff in the fitting room was super nice and helpful as i was deciding on the best size to get. I ended up buying a pair of jeans for $69!!! At this price, the jeans are really comfortable and cool vibes. It was the first time that jean shopping experience wasn't frustrating. I have a hard time finding jeans that suit my body type but the first pair I tried on at this store worked for me! What a pleasant surprise! This store carries the best selling items- obviously, they don't have their whole online collection but it will be helpful to try on shoes, clothes, and bags here and once you find your fit, order them in different colors online. Made a purchase online using Afterpay and I needed to return it. I didn't want to ship it back and wait weeks for a refund, and also chance it getting lost, so I decided to return in store since that is allowed. Upon processing the return, it showed the funds being returned to a card that wasn't mine, which I of course questioned. The associate suggested it may be a card number used by Afterpay, which would have been totally fine, except she wasn't sure. And I don't know about anyone else, but I want to ensure my money is going to the right place. When I asked, well what if I don't get a refund? I was told, well you have to take it up with Afterpay, not Everlane. Which to me is not an acceptable or helpful response. I was told several times that they're new to Afterpay, but so what? They should still be well versed in how it works in order to inform customers. I didn't feel like I got a straight answer and it was kinda of like, this isn't our problem it's an online problem. Being concerned about getting your proper refund does not make you "difficult." Maybe don't accept online returns at all if that's the sentiment. I decided not to chance it because no one could confirm, so they sent a ticket to customer service. It just boggles my mind that a company does not have a live person to speak to in situations like this. Customer service got back to me hours later and said the store should have been able to explain the process better. I was able to get it taken care of, but what an inconvenience having to go there twice and wait in line. Earlier this year I decided I wouldn't be shopping at Everlane anymore due to their business practices, but my mom had been dropping hints about a pair of boots for two years so I caved. Freshly opened* Everlane store on abbot Kinney. Products are nice (if to your taste) and fitting rooms are pretty big. I would recommend this if you're like 5'6" or shorter because it seems like all the pants are cropped? The pants I bought look cute when I put them on, but as soon as I bend my knee they turn into capris. I don't regret my purchase but probably will not repurchase from this store. notes: -They take your phone number to reserve a fitting room. This store is not large enough to warrant this imo and now my personal phone number is on some store ipad. Thanks -they take your email to give a receipt. This review is based on two visits to the store 2 weeks apart. 9/22 was my first visit. I was very excited and came in with my pup to return a dress and shop around. Instantly was greeted and helped with my return. Everyone was so hospitable and engaging from the cashier to the multiple people on the floor and those manning the fitting rooms. They were informative, genuine, and just seemed happy. 5 stars for this visit as it made me want to shop here again. 10/6 was my second visit. They weren't as busy as my first visit since it was within the last 2 hours they were open. Thought "lucky, it will be easier shopping and we can get help." Went straight for a men's bomber jacket to exchange sizes and not one of the 3 cashiers who were free or the woman who was sizing the pants and doing go-backs right next to us offered to help as I tip toed to grab the proper size. One of the ladies from the cashier who started doing go-backs look irritated as she found the hanger from the jacket we were trying on. We placed it on the end of the rack to try on the jacket in front of the mirror which was right next to it. Ok weird, but I would get peeved too when I worked retail and saw things out of place. However, for the rest of the 20 min in the store, not one person asked us how we were doing or if we needed a specific size. All the gloomy-mess was leaving a blecgh taste in my mouth. I thought, ok I'll do them a favor and just finish up so there's less people in the store they have to deal with. Sadly, the girl at the cashier had the same lackluster attitude as the rest of the staff. She seemed pained to explain how exchanges work in the store and irritated when she had to ask twice for my signature. This visit is 1/5 stars. I would come back to this store but I really hope that the next time, it is similar to my first visit than this one. If so, then I'll just solely shop online as this experience doesn't add anything to the brand but more detracts from it. I also don't need to feel like I'm in the way at your store. read more

This was my first time visiting the Everlane store and it was such an incredible experience! I visited on Monday and everyone was social distancing, wearing masks and hand sanitizer was available, but other than that, it felt like there was no pandemic to worry about. Ari greeted me as soon as I walked in and treated me with such care. I had no idea what size I wear in their bottoms (I've never ordered pants from Everlane) and she helped me narrow it down and set up a dressing room while I browsed. EVERYONE in the store offered to help me and was so kind. She checked in without hovering and offered great suggestions. I want to start with - I am an avid fan of Everlane jeans. I own multiple jeans from them. I have heard nothing but good raves on their Day Glove shoes. So I decided to give them a try in person so I know how they feel on my feet. I drove 1 hour away from Venice to get a pair. When I arrived, the lady helped and asked me my size. I told her I am a 7. She told me that based on her experience size 6 will be a good fit for me, I asked for size 7 as well. While fitting them in, she explains that size 6 will fit me better and should fit as a glove on my feet but needed to break them in for 3 days to get a better mold of my feet, as size 7 is just perfect on my feet she said size 7 will stretch out the more I wear it. With all hesitation if I should listen to her or regret buying size 7, I chose size 6 since she's an expert of the brand she works for. First day of breaking them in I already got a blisters just for 5 hours walking them in. When my blisters dried up I tried them again. 2 hours and I got blisters again. The next day (11/08/19) I contacted them. They said they will get back at me within 48 hours. 48 hours has passed by nothing. 11/15/19 I contacted them again it is my 2nd REQUEST of return. They finally got back to me same day. Asking for a picture and shipping address for my return. I sent them picture. They replied and asked again another picture of the soles. They finally told me that since the shoes were worn out they COULD NOT ACCEPT it back. I lost $115 plus tax on these pair that I can't even wear comfortably. They wanted me to "invest" in this Amazon shoe stretcher and do this and that, well guess what, I spent more than $115 for this "Comfortable" shoes that I thought needed to break in for 3 days and it will be molded on my feet. Please don't ever insist on shoe size lower if you cannot even accept a return. And please don't tell your customers they have to break it in 3 days if you dont plan to accept worn out shoes. I am very disappointed and my money is thrown out in trash together with the shoes. You just lost an avid fan. read more

Trying on jeans is awful and never fun. However, everyone here is super helpful and willing to grab you as many styles and sizes as needed. I'm a fan of their authentic stretch high waisted jeans. They're not as stretchy as others so they hold their shape which is great and I love the ankle cut. Yet another "Instagram" clothing store to appear on this street. Yes - their marketing is great online, but there is nothing beautiful or unique about their clothing. It basically looks like overpriced Gap basics and it feels cheap too for what you are paying. There are plenty of other unique stores down AK for clothing which is WHY people come to Abbot Kinney. 3 stars is for this friendly service & clean store but there is nothing in the store I would actually want to buy. I wanted to try on their jeans at the physical store and dragged my friends with me on busy Saturday afternoon. The staffs weren't much helpful or friendly. I guess whole abbot Kinney blvd became such a tourist spot so I don't really expect "the customer service" after all. The assortment wasn't very good at this time. I used to shop it's online and the Nyc store, but have not shopped them for a while. It became just too plain and nothing special to grab at the store. it was sad to look at their styles. Repetitive and Uniqlo-ish I also do not want to give out my cell phone number and wait for 20mins to try on some plain jeans. They should've put a sign somewhere that there is an iPad and you put your name on the fitting room wait list. I just ended up not trying on I guess I will just stick with their online store. I won't shop here again, Everlane sucks for online returns. They charge $7 to return an online purchase via mail. It's free if you return online orders to the store - of which they have 1 in all of Southern California. Good luck finishing store fronts in other states. Let me start off by saying I love Everlane as a company, and their locations (this one & SF) are nice and easy to navigate. However, my friend and I had a very uncomfortable experience at this location today. We walked, and were browsing around and I picked up a pair of jeans to try on. Immediately, an associate asked if I wanted a dressing room, I told her I was still looking around but she took the items and put them in the dressing room. No big deal. I picked up another pair, and again, a different associate took the item from me & put them in the dressing room. A little unnecessary, but ok. The entire time, my friend and I were most definitely followed around the store, and the associates were eyeing us up & down. Everywhere we walked, associates followed us around, "fixing" displays as we simply browsed. Working retail ourselves, we understood what was happening. I understand customer service, but this was far too much. Although I had every intention of purchasing some jeans, I decided not to because of how annoyed and uncomfortable we both were. Overall, nice store, but I would probably stick to buying online because of how weird and irritating the experience was. Love you Everlane but this was such an unpleasant experience. read more

I'm frustrated with this brand and sadly I won't be returning. Here are the reasons why: 1) They never have the size that I want to buy in store 2) When I tell them that my size is missing they ask me if I want to order it online. I've done this before and they didn't send anything. I had the pleasure of visiting the store in Venice. I want to give a little history, I heard amazing feedback from a personal stylist/blogger about the Day Glove shoe. I didn't know much about the brand, but love the simplicity and their purpose. I purchased a pair at the Nordy's Pop Up shop to try them out and verify sizing before ordering on- line. First, all of the reviews are spot on about the Day Glove shoe on the Everlane website. They are a dream for someone who walks all day for work. I received a coupon on line for 20% off, so I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. One was my 2nd Day Glove and I took a chance on the other. It didn't work, so when I was in LA I returned them within the 30 days at the store. I also confirmed the policy on- line before driving there because they were on sale and I saved 20%. I asked the manager of the store if they would honor the original 20% and since it was only a few weeks, they did. I purchased my 3rd pair of Day Gloves. For those of you not sure about sizing, I'm an 8 and bought an 8. I wore them all day for work with no blisters and no breaking in. The store was clean, the sales people were attentive and very helpful. I look forward to going back in the spring to try some items I've been watching on- line. I tell everyone about the shoes, they are worth the money. I also tried the loafer on while in the store for a different look and they fit just as amazing and sizing is the same. read more

Honestly, what does a store associate dislike more than a complicated customer who walks in a few minutes before closing? SORRY THAT WAS ME. BUT. Justin who helped me was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and KIND. I had such a great experience at this location because of him. He helped me figure out sizing for a jacket I wanted to get my boyfriend. He went above and beyond to actually exchange a pair of flats I bought a year ago that was too small and really painful everytime I tried to wear it. His customer service is the reason (besides the great style & quality of clothing) I will recommend Everlane to all my friends. My first time coming into Everlane store because I always shop online since covid started . Amazing customer service and super helpful . As I walked in keyana greeted me and I told her that I was returning/ exchanging my shoes . She was so cool about it and told me if I needed help to let her know . She explained all the sales stuff and everything else in the store since I told her it was my first time . Janelle was super nice . I remember her because she really took the time to help me and explained every fit size of their jeans. She even recommended that I try on this black pants and for a second I was kinda hesitant because it look was kinda long but she of course told me to do it anyways and might end up liking it . She even told me to try on some jeans just in case if one day if I try buying it online I already know my fit and style. So I did . She was super nice . Really amazing customer service .
