He has given me a heads-up that we might need to expect to do a more in-depth tuning in x-number of years should we forget to tune regularly. My favorite part of his visit is at the end of his tuning he plays my piano in a way that I cannot, with breadth and depth, highs and lows. Received a fast, prompt reply to my request, scheduled to pick up my piano the next day from the previous location, and moved it to the new location. Was on time, had it loaded in 10-15 minutes, and was off to the next location. Drop off was fast and efficient. You can tell that they have been doing this a very long time and did not outsource their work to "teams" who do bulk moving like I have seen others do. Once completed, provided some instructions on how to care for the piano, some things to do and not to do, and proved some contact information for someone to tune or provide any repairs. They also happened to be the cheapest quote I received and delivered it the fastest. Now, there are some things that some people will need to consider. Professional... yes. Fast and efficient... yes. Knowledgeable... yes. No nonsense... extreme. If you are not used to dealing with people who know exactly what to do and are no-nonsense, they will come off as being short or being rude. They aren't going to be the people who sugarcoat things or tell you something because you want to hear it. They are the type of people who will be straight up, honest, and tell you the things you NEED to hear and understand, even if you don't want to hear that, because they are dealing with YOUR very expensive instrument. I made a call and set up an appointment with their piano movers Monte's Piano Moving. Monte worked through his schedule and was able to fit be in right after a Burleson delivery. He was able to come over earlier than originally planned (Yay!) And had the best communication. Monte and team showed up and quickly moved the piano out and off to storage.
