Long story short, Empire Floors mislead us regarding moving things around in our house as they installed our hardwood floors, so we frantically needed someone to move our 6' baby grand from the living room to the dining room. Martins was able to give us a 2pm-4pm window (I called at 10am) and quoted $160 each time they had to come over (once to move it to the other room and another time to move it back). I asked if they could work with me on the price if we just left the piano upright for a day or two as the hardwoods cured, but they said price-wise it didn't matter. They called around 12:30pm and said they'd be here in 1.5 hrs (I live off 380/DNT), so I said great. 3 guys showed up and had our piano disassembled and moved within 5 minutes - amazing! They were worth every penny. However, after watching them do their work, I'll probably just get a bunch of friends to help me move the piano back into the other room. It looked relatively simple - just need to be strong! We asked if they did piano repair/maintenance since our brass casters are really worn to hell. They don't, but gave us a number to someone else. They also left us new casters with a double wheel and said when they come back in a few days to put back the piano, they can throw them on for us. How nice! Don't use these guys. Three stooges showed up and one was shorter than piano and other in sliders. They were cursing each other, disrespectful to my wife and created drama in neighborhood. Damaged our new floors. Do yourself a favor and find somebody porfessional. They use to be good now they are the worst. read more

We had a great experience with Martin's professional piano. Joseph responded quickly to my request for more information. Upon further research, it seemed like a very reasonable price. The guys were very communicative and on time. They also spent a while moving the piano a couple inches to the right, left, back, forward without losing their patience for me. I just had my older baby grand piano stored and moved. The men who brought my piano back were cordial but told me they needed to use cardboard and a toothpick to set the legs up. I advised I could not fully open piano and the owner said he could see a pen dropped behind and that I would need to get a piano tuner to fix that mistake. It opened before the m o v e. I also advised of a chip on the peddle wood which was NOT THERE BEFORE the MOVE and the owner talked over me in a yelling voice even when I asked him to stop and listen he spoke rudely to me and basically called me a LIER. I have used these guys at least 4 times and they're great. They're always reasonably priced when I compare my move to other people's. They're quick and efficient. This last move we actually had the piano moved to another house. The move was completed in less than an hour with a 6 minute drive time. We have a baby Grand with disklavier. read more

If they're moving your beloved piano do not trust their driving! Seriously not what I would call a good moving company.

These guys really know what they're doing! We were terrified that we wouldn't be able to fit the 6' grand we purchased through a narrow turn at the top of our stairwell - these guys made it seem easy. Seems like they're the game in town for difficult piano moves. Their over the phone communication seemed unpolished at first, but when they showed up you could tell they really had their stuff together. I am a company that offers residential and commercial office relocation services. I called Martins Professional Piano Moving to see if they had a Marketing Department. He said No ! I then asked if they had any merchant/affiliate program . His reply , No we don't you idiot . I just put a customer on hold for you! Don't ever call this number again! I just thought this was extremely rude. I was going offer to host his company on our website to drive to customers to his business. I do not know if this is the owner or if he can represent as a whole but as for me I will not recommend or use any of his services. Martins just moved my early 1960s 6'1" grand piano and Rodgers 559. They were very knowledgeable, knew what they were doing, worked quickly and efficiently, all for a very reasonable price. They are very down to earth, yet respectful of us and each other. They couldn't have taken greater care of my prized instruments. They went above and beyond what was necessary to see that I was happy with the positioning of the instruments on their new space. These folks were great. Paul is a bit on the gruff side, but knows just what he's doing and the piano was delivered in great shape. It looked like a tough move- a 6' 2" grand piano down a twisting three-floor staircase. But they made it look easy. They took great care and even gave us some advice on piano maintenance. I called and asked if I was speaking to the owner, and the guy says "Yeah, and adios you b****!" and hung up on me. I'm a bit rattled; I guess I'll just use a regular moving company. read more
