We're all human and we get stressed. However, in my mind that is no excuse to be so dismissive toward a potential client. Hire an assistant to answer phones, offer to take my name and number, or at least just don't be so condescending in your tone. This was our 3rd year using him for our taxes and we love it! He is incredibly knowledgeable and gets you in and out of his office in no time. Not that he rushes- he will sit and talk through anything you have questions about, he just uses your time more effectively by actually doing the long filing process after you leave. He plugs everything in while you wait and lets you know what you are getting back or what you owe, but you don't have to sit in there for an hour while he submits it! Definitely a welcome change from H&R Block. Also, I received a strange letter from the IRS while my husband was deployed this past year inquiring about whether he was deployed in 2008-2009. I showed the letter to Cliff (and it later came out that my husband had not filed his taxes that year which was probably why they were inquiring) and he said he would get it all figured out and taken care of. He also let us know that it was probably too late to get the money we would have received back since it was past the 3 year deadline, but he even offered to look into whether and how deployment time was accounted for in that. He told us that after he figured everything out for us, that he would then go ahead and file it so that we were good to go. Now that is customer service! We were really bummed that next year we would have to file with a new person since we are planning on moving out of the state by the end of this year. But, to our surprise, the receptionist informed us that they have clients all over the world and would be happy to continue doing our taxes long distance for us in the years to come. Well, we would be more than happy to continue our business with them.
