When we got a bill from the IRS we figured it was a scam.. Sent to him to be sure, left several voicenails and sent several texts....CRICKETS. Nate, That Tax Guy, GHOSTED US! As a DoD contractor, I have a security clearance, and he put it at risk because he ignored our REPEATED calls, texts and emails.. He recently answered the phone (accidentally) and promised to write a letter to my company Security Officer to say it was accidental that we failed to pay because we sincerely thought it was a scam and in good faith gave him the letter and he failed to respond... But no letter and no e-mai and back to being GHOSTED! BOTH husband and I had our paychecks deducted so now we have to get an IRS refund. After getting notice from the IRS there was a mistake on our return, I called the local Block office. Was automatically transferred to another office where they didn't have any of our records. The agent said, "Just pay the penalty." I told her I wanted to know why there was a mistake and penalty. Asked about the Monument office. Closed for the season -- although they claim to be open year-round. I called the 800 number. They gave me a run-around for a good 20 minutes before hanging up on me. Tried the web site. More run around and blind alleys. I've been using Block for several years without a problem, but it seems they've gone completely off the rails. Never again.
