Clark County Painting, Inc. was exactly what we needed to help us fix a mold problem in our recently renovated kitchen. They responded so quickly to our inquiries about possible solutions and could not have been more professional in every aspect of the job. They truly stepped it up on getting the job done for us immediately and did a wonderful repair job as well. You can't even tell where the mold/problem was! Their pricing was competitive and every employee that arrived at our house was punctual, polite and very competent in the job that they had to do. They answered all questions with easy-to-follow answers or directed me to an employee better suited for my question. All employees that came to our house cleaned up upon leaving and always prepped me for the next step coming up. The office manager was beyond helpful and her email responses were incredibly quick and so very friendly. She went above and beyond trying to help me stay on top of the whole process which I really appreciated. if you notice the Clark County Painting reviews fall into 2 categories Either you have the BEST experience of absolutely the WORST- After trying to get an updated estimate for over 2 months I couldn't get any response from Ed or the office staff. Then, I was informed by Tiffani the office manager that their schedule was full for the rest of the year and I could schedule starting next March. When i told her I couldn't get an updated estimate by calling or writing- She told me that was my FAULT Her Quote "most customers work directly with the office being that Ed is typically out of the office, that is the easiest way to do so. I feel as though every time you called you wanted Ed and he is not in our office. SO THEY WERENT SMART ENOUGH TO HANDLE MY ISSUE OF NEEDING AN UPDATED ESTIMATE - How can you deal with a company like this? read more

The job took longer than normal due to a spate of unusual weather events including days of high winds, followed by hazardous air quality caused by forest fire smoke and ash and then a week of rain. Once normal weather conditions returned it all went smoothly and we were in constant contact with the company reps. The several employees working on our home were all agreeable and happily answered all questions and concerns. The finished job looks really good and we're getting compliments from neighbors. Estimate was close to a competitor's estimate, however, they gave a very detailed writeup as to what they would do. Power wash/caulking guy did a fine job with attention to detail. Painters also did a professional job and attention to detail. I would recommend this company to anyone. It has taken me 6 months to write this review in the hopes that time might lessen the frustrations we experienced working with Clark County Painting. It has not. We hired Clark County Painting to repaint our kitchen cabinets. They were helpful in selecting the paint colors, and Ed specifically is who we worked with...but that is truly one of the only positive comments I have. The lack of workmanship, poor communication, and limited follow through was appalling. The painters that arrived (usually at unconfirmed times) were hard workers, however there was a serious language barrier. We contacted Ed repeatedly by voicemail and text, even asking several times that he arrive on site to discuss various questions/issues we were having. There were "mix-ups" on confirmed appointments with Ed, last minute changes, and a variety of excuses. Ed never came back to address problems until the day he threw in the towel on the job. Some of the issues we experienced in addition to terrible communication related to the quality - or lack thereof - of the work done. We later found out that Clark County Painting used the wrong type of paint for painting our cabinets, thinned it out too much, didn't allow sufficient dry time before mounting the cabinet doors causing them to stick and peel off paint, used screws that were too big for the hinges causing the cabinet boxes to split, left primer all over the walls... I could go on and on and on. It was a terribly shoddy job. The final straw was when cabinet hardware was mounted incorrectly. This was so horrendous! They not only mounted drawer pulls off center and then claimed it's what we told them to do, they also mounted the vertical pulls crooked. Crooked! About 1/3 of the cabinets were affected before we saw it and demanded they stop. When I called Ed to address this he called me and my husband liars, said we rushed the job which caused too many problems, and offered absolutely no viable solution. What kind of person yells and makes excuses before even trying understand the problem and find a resolution? We attempted to work with him on a solution: replace the damaged cabinets, repair 2 or 3 damaged cabinets so we could evaluate if this would be okay, or give us a reduced rate for the work done. Let me just say, this doesn't even begin to capture the level of unprofessionalism with how he handled these conversations. He yelled, used inflammatory language, and again made accusations - all without ever having been on site to see our concerns firsthand. Ultimately we agreed on a discounted rate and they were off the job. Best decision of this whole project. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a contractor. We built a custom house and the builder used Clark County Painting. If you are interested in fast and "looks ok at a distance", then this is the company for you. If you expect quality and "done right the first time", then look elsewhere. Everything from requiring them to repaint interior rooms because they only did one coat of dark paint (you could see stripes), to dripping paint on the carpets, to finally getting so frustrated with calling them to fix issues that we just began repainting the interior rooms ourselves. It was never the same crew - so when I would explain something specific we wanted (during the build), another crew would show up and have no idea what conversations had taken place (I ended up explaining to three different crews before a particular request was completed). We have been attempting to clean up overspray everywhere (on railings, on the deck, on the trim, on the windows, etc.). We have also spent hours cleaning up the masking tape and tape residue they left around randomly (not painters tape). They also apparently did some of our gutter work - and I am so frustrated waiting for them to correct a few outstanding issues there that I think I may just give up and "live with it". I actually did not call your office manager anything. I asked her why she was calling me a liar? I asked her why she thought I would lie about the situation. In addition to the damage on the ceiling your "skilled workers" got paint on my fixtures, tiles, and floor. I was cleaning up splatters of paint for quite some Time afterwards. You were unwilling to admit the possibility your "skilled workers" did anything wrong and were unwilling to redo the drywall to remedy the problem. Instead you resorted to calling me a liar, attacking my character and screaming at me. This to me is not the willingness of a company to end on a good note. A professional would have come back, fixed the ceiling and preserved the client regardless of what you thought happened. Since it is obviously my word against your employee and you have no way to prove either story because you weren't there and never came to even look at the job. I have nothing to gain and was not after "free work" as you accused me of. I just wanted the repair done. read more

I chose Clark County Painting for two reasons. One, because my boyfriend had had his house painted by them several years ago and the paint job still looks terrific. And two, because when I called them in December to quickly come out and give me a ballpark estimate while I was negotiating the purchase of my house, they came out on a moment's notice and not only gave a ballpark estimate, but a detailed estimate which they stood by even though I did not have the house painted till last month. The work was done in three phases, pressure-washing, then repair, some scraping, caulking and priming, then the painting itself. The company is very busy so I had to wait a couple of weeks for the work to begin, but I was not in a hurry, and had told them so. All of the workers were personable, prompt, listened to all of my concerns and questions and accommodated everything I asked. Many of them have worked for this company for years. More pieces of siding had to be replaced (they were rotten due to shrubs that had been growing against the house) than were originally quoted, but no additional charges were applied. My neighbor has an old car parked near my house and the workers covered it with plastic so no paint would get on it. The original quote did not include taxes, and when I expressed surprise at the invoice, the owner knocked that amount off the bill. The owner of the company came out the day after work was complete to carefully inspect the work, and found some spots I had not seen that needed touch-up. He scheduled the workers to come back out and take care of it. There was a small amount of paint water that got on my driveway and the owner arranged to have the driveway pressure washed for me at no extra charge. If I had any issue at all with Clark Painting, I would say it is communication only. I would have liked periodic calls while I was waiting for the work to keep me apprised. However, I knew how to pick up the phone and call them, so it was a minor issue for me. I know yelp does not highlight all reviews, and prioritizes frequent reviewers, so I hope this review will stick and that you will benefit from it. read more

We hired Clark County Painting to paint our exterior trim. Mark came out to do our estimate and was very professional and thorough making note of exactly what we wanted done. Although it wasn't the cheapest company we got an estimate from, it was the one I felt most comfortable with. I had a couple questions before we decided to move forward with the project and the office staff was really responsive and fielded my questions for immediate answers. Despite the end of year crunch for exterior painting, they were able to get our project lined up within a couple weeks. Ernesto came out to paint with an assistant. He was very friendly, checked to make sure he knew what was expected before getting started and accepted feedback very well. worst sub contractor i have experienced in 43 years. i needed 3 jobs done - they came out 3 times took pictures and left me with the impression they wanted the work. i called numerous times over two weeks and with each call i received encouragement they would be presenting a bid. after a long delay i received a call they weren't interested w/o any explanation. i later learned from 3 paint suppliers they couldn't keep workers. run like hell if you have to deal with ed or mark! read more

Very unimpressed with this company. Called them for a bid on a small sheetrock job. (In some of their ads they list drywall as part of their skillset). I let them know I had a very small window of time to get the job wrapped up and needed to get a bid right away. Their guy shows up the following week. Again, I remind him that I didn't have a lot of time so I asked him to at least give me a ballpark figure, as in the most it would cost, so that I'm not wasting their time or mine waiting around for what might be an inflated bid (he apparently needed to go back to the office to formulate his bid). He says "No more than $1,000." Seemed a bit high to me but I knew it was a quick turnaround and they probably wanted to make some extra cash on that fact. Fine, I figure. At this point, I just need to get it done. Promised he'd email the bid to me first thing in the morning. Doesn't happen. Nothing the next day, so I call. After a bit of phone rodeo, I finally get their bid: $2,600... a complete shakedown. These clowns wasted over a week of my time. Finally got a couple of experienced sheetrockers to quickly respond. Their bids? $500 and $625. read more
