I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Matt. He was professional, on-time, surprisingly fast responding to my text and emails, and did exactly what he said he would do. His entire team was so professional and friendly. They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid. read more

Could not recommend MBK Painting enough. More than a few kitchen cabinets were looking a little threadbare in spots with peeling paint. It was starting to be an eyesore, but I anticipated that attempting to match the off white paint color would be next to impossible and it would just look patchy and cheap if we tried to repaint them ourselves. After many months of watching the peeling paint worsen I decided it was time to obtain a few quotes and see what was possible. Matt spent the most time (of all the companies I received quotes from) inspecting the cabinets and provided me with an explanation of what he could try to do so I decided to go with him. Matt took the cabinet doors home with him, which I thought was awesome, as we didn't have to deal with painting in our own home/yard. He returned a few weeks later with cabinet doors that look amazing. I annoyingly have a super critical eye and was amazed by how closely the paint matched. You can't tell the difference at all. Cabinets look amazing, price was comparable to others and I couldn't be more pleased. Would definitely use them again if any other painting needs arise. read more

The prices are fair, the paint they use is great quality that really holds up, and the workmanship is outstanding. They are also locally owned which I appreciate (I have ran into the owner several times during early morning trips to Starbucks). Originally we hired them to do cabinet painting and the interior walls. Then we had a large ceiling repair in our entryway that needed painting and they blended it into the existing living room ceiling paint beautifully (people have no idea it was a repair and I forget about it unless I am specifically thinking about drywall and paint). The following year we had them paint our exterior, the exterior paint is now 2 years old and still looks new. I can't say enough good things about MBK Painting. A year ago they painted the interior walls and bathroom cabinets of a house we had just purchased. The timeline was a little crazy trying to get a months worth of work squeezed into two weeks. MBK's bid was the most straightforward of the three we received and they were flexile working around our schedule. Their quality of work, attention to detail, and willingness to do what it took to get the job "done right" rather than "just done" was impressive. This spring we hired MBK Painting to paint the exterior of our house. After our previous experience with their work, we didn't bother with multiple bids, and we trusted they would do the job right. Everything worked out great. The quality and attention to detail for the exterior paint job was the same experience as the interior they did for us. Things to take note of: MBK had a small team of painters; this ensures quality control. Take their recommendations for process and materials. They know paint, there's a reason they use Benjamin Moore. Don't worry, the designer color you saw on HGTV or in a magazine can be matched. Be realistic, its a pain job, not new siding or sheetrock.
