And though the time was long ago, my favorite grocery store, Kroger, and their competitors stopped setting out hearty oxtails and less turkey wings, neck bones and those more southern, cultural meats. So I've been shopping at local produce stores and now SBFD has a returning customer. They pretty much have everything Latin and Asian that you need for any meal, egg/spring/dumpling/etc wrappers, an array of adobo, waaaaayyy healthier produce like baby bok choy at $1.29/lbs., and most importantly... my oxtails and turkey wings. They even had two freezer sections of vegan products. Most of their meat is kept frozen. They do have a fresh section but it's limited. However, you can find a small section of fresh fish like sting ray, snapper, grouper, and more. Oxtails come by the whole tail. Had them cut down. Turkey wings are frozen but cut down into quarter sections in packaging. They have a variety of cooking equipment, to-go products, seasoning and bulk buys! Small language barrier with the staff, but if your patient and take your time they are very accommodating and helpful!

I told the manager that my dog is a service dog and his response was "no he isn't " My dog IS a service dog! He has the vest, card Keychain and certificate! He wasn't wearing his vest because it is over 100 degrees outside. He does have on his keychain on his collar. It is CLEAR! The manager just wanted to invade my space, and harass me. I called customer service about this issue and they didn't call me back so I take this to mean that they don't care. I will be reporting this store to everyone that will listen and the BBB and ADA. I might even call the news. The manager made me feel unsafe. Horrible experience. Don't shop at this store!

Then over the years that Mobil had less business and went out of business. So nothing was on this corner for all this time. I was shocked to see one week about a month ago that a gas station was popping back up in this spot. It looked quite substantial and actually they did a lot of work in such a short period of time. I was thinking it was either a race track or a quick trip. I am delighted that this project didn't take long and that something is here. My parents if they were here would be so happy to see this. It has quite a few gas station pumps and there's lots of space. The lights are bright outside. It's very convenient when you're coming off of the highway onto Park Springs. They have all sorts of things inside. Lots of food options... Drinks... Coffee... Just so much to offer I even a breakfast sandwich for my son the other day along with some items for his lunch because I didn't have time to stop at a grocery store. I know it's the holidays but this seems like a normal Sunday to them. Starting from getting my basket outside to get it in the store and seeing a barbecue restaurant in the store. A car wash on the property with a gas station on the property. This is an all-in-one grocery store food chain. I see it's very popular here in Texas and this is my first time truly experiencing the H-E-B moment. Really some of the highlights is they have a lot of people checking you out. It's actually real people, they have baggers that bag your grocery up. They will help escort you to your vehicle. This is old school customer service type grocery store and the prices are just the same as anywhere else if not a better deal. I definitely understand why my sister, friends and family have all talked so good about this store and I am proud to see them in the DFW area growing tremendously. Please keep up the good work. With the prices increasing, I've started to spread my wings and look at other places for my weekly shopping. I visit Walmart, Aldi, and now H-E-B. Like gas, many of us are now shopping where we can find the best deals, even if that means splitting up our shopping lists. I don't know if with this store, you can pay for a membership that will waive delivery fees; if so, I may do that when the store in Euless opens. Since COVID, I've been glued to delivery. Some stores I will visit (Aldi, Central Market, H-E-B, etc.), but I'm mostly a delivery gal. I took a chance and ordered strawberries, and it was a chance worth making. They are delicious and were chosen well. Placing my order online was very easy, and even with my delivery being done in the evening, they still had everything in stock. If I may add, I did get one of their famous iced croissants, and it was worth the hype. I love H-E-B!
