I came in with a major hankering for a slurpee and I only treat myself to them once or twice a year so I was excited. Unfortunately here the machines were not serving up the consistency I expected. The Coke wasn't quite frozen so I added a little cherry to firm it up. It was one of my flavor combos but a little syrupy since it didn't have that icy texture. It got the job done but it wasn't what I was hoping for. Not sure if I came during a moment they were changing over and making a new batch. I guess I'll have to go get another to check!

I passed by her several times while looking for an item, and she never offered any assistance. She also refused to ring customers up at the register and required everyone to use self-checkout. When my coupon did not apply, she reluctantly helped me, rolled her eyes, and ignored me while fixing the issue. After I paid, I returned a key she had left in the machine, and she did not acknowledge me at all. While I was gathering my bags to leave, she rudely & aggressively stated, "We closed several minutes ago. You need to leave NOW!" I remained patient and respectful throughout the entire interaction. I began checking out at least ten minutes before closing. I understand she wanted to leave, and so did I, but if she had assisted customers and focused on her job, she likely would have been finished on time. It seems to be extremely hard to get prescriptions filled so I do not miss doses. They are out of stock, and they can't tell you when they will be in stock. She also said she couldn't get the 24 cents to "reappear" but said to pump the 25 gallons and contact Speedway to get your $6 owed to you. I tried contacting Speedway on several occasions using different means to no avail... They have every kind of food you could possibly want from hamburgers to milk shakes. The beverages are plentiful including 6 types of slurppies, and if you just need a cup of ice they don't nickel and dime you to death like other places. Staff is great and it really is a vital part of the community. Yeah, the spacing for the pumps can be tricky but they added 8 PUMPS! I don't mind a little tricky maneuvering to have that many pumps at a good price close to my house. Would you rather have 4 and wait in line! I say: This place is awesome for social distancing! And it's true. It is. Not only that, but this Circle K has Purell hand sanitizer dispensers on the sides of its pumps... and they are full. Granted, it's the foaming kind. So to me, it feels a bit less satisfying than the non-aerated version. But still. Today, finding Purell in any form is like finding a stash of gold. After pumping my gas, staying well more than six feet away from any fellow human being, and sanitizing my hands, I felt like I was ready to take on the world. Or, at the very least, the next few hours of this pandemic. Oh yeah, and it was $1.99 per gallon. If it weren't for the existential dread, I might have been delighted to see such a throwback price.
