I've arrived at odd hours (usually late night) to find scrawled signs on the doors saying "closed for inventory until 1:30 am." When our house got broken into years back, the gal who used to work here commiserated with me, mentioning that they'd been held up a few weeks prior. Don't know the details, but she was friendly and I appreciated the sympathy.
