I had procrastinated far too long knowing my delay was only contributing to my dental issues. One day I happened to receive an oversized postcard advertising this dental practice located in Hollister Ca. The emphasis was on the office philosophy which stated clearly that no judgment was ever made on the patients current condition . Acknowledgment of how many of us feel having delayed treatment ( embarrassment & shame ) and emphasized they were only concerned with identifying the solution and assisting the patient with obtaining the best possible treatment to address all ongoing dental needs. Intrigued I called and was immediately impressed with the prompt response to my inquiry and I obtained an appointment which was a no charge assessment and a detailed treatment plan with the recommended course of action. The staff was positive and reassuring and Dr. Rauch was simply wonderful. Having introduced himself he quickly realized that I was pretty vulnerable and apologetic for having let my dental needs becoming so desperate. He was quick to reassure me and state that what mattered most at this moment was to move forward and focus on the solution. He was encouraging, supportive and obviously sincere. I was convinced this was my new Dentist and am here now to encourage anyone who has been delaying or procrastinating to obtain dental care this is the Dentist for you. Alexandra, the receptionist, was very friendly and helped me register as a new patient. Not having dental insurance, I was happy to know that Dr. Stephens offers an in-house program that is a yearly payment (very reasonable) and reduces all your procedures. Dr. Stephens is very kind and explains everything thoroughly, which I really appreciate. He is also gentle when he works on your teeth. He is very pleasant to talk to also. Martha, the hygienist, took X-rays and gave me an excellent cleaning and I had not had my teeth cleaned for a while. She, too, was very pleasant and gentle. She kept checking to see if I needed a break. I chose Dr. Stephens after coming in to meet him and having a free consultation that is offered to new patients. I am very happy Dr. Stephens is my dentist!

The front desk staff member I first spoke with was polite, but when Amy came on the phone, the tone completely changed. She was rude from the start and seemed uninterested in helping. For someone representing the office, she could really use some customer service training. The way you speak to potential patients reflects directly on the business and after seeing another review stating the same issue with the same person, it should be addressed. I was also surprised to hear that they don't accept new patients over the age of 10, which is unusual since most pediatric dentists see patients up to 18 years old. So regardless they wouldn't see my child. I'm glad I know in advance how we would be treated if I wanted to send my other younger kids here.
