The front desk staff member I first spoke with was polite, but when Amy came on the phone, the tone completely changed. She was rude from the start and seemed uninterested in helping. For someone representing the office, she could really use some customer service training. The way you speak to potential patients reflects directly on the business and after seeing another review stating the same issue with the same person, it should be addressed. I was also surprised to hear that they don't accept new patients over the age of 10, which is unusual since most pediatric dentists see patients up to 18 years old. So regardless they wouldn't see my child. I'm glad I know in advance how we would be treated if I wanted to send my other younger kids here.

The staff takes their time with our kids and while we learned that there can be a wait to be seen on arrival the actual cleanings and work are fast and pain free for the most part. We have only had one bigger fix that required putting our daughter under anesthesia. The staff gave us a thorough explanation of set expectations of the process. It made kind of a scary thing much easier to watch. Dr. Van and his assistant were impressive and the repairs were finished in about the time expected including one difficult tooth. If you are reading this don't let insurance always tell you where to go. Consider seeing this dentist and at least get some pricing with and without.

My first child had a cavity at 2yo and a Monterey dentist recommended a crown under general anesthesia. I almost lost it at the gall (now I realize this is pretty standard from standard dentists). I was able to save the tooth with diet and supplements. My second child's teeth came in with patches of enamel missing. Even the holistic dentist we were seeing at the time recommended fillings under general anesthesia. Finding Dr. Nordstrom, who uses less drastic measures, was an answer to my prayers. They aren't taking any more patients, but made an exception. Dr. Nordstrom took so much time and patiently filled every tooth of my very uncooperative 2.5yo. He is so kind and takes time to build a rapport with the child. Instead of barging in the room, he quietly leans against the door frame and engages in a conversation with the child from a distance. He only approaches when the child has warmed up to him. He filled all teeth with my girl sitting on my lap and leaning back on his knees (instead of sitting on the scary big dentist chair). I feel so lucky he's within driving distance.

Dr. Banner did not feel comfortable pulling it as he felt it might Break in small pieces due to how long the tooth had been dead so he called a specialist and ask if they can accommodate us on the same day. I think that is fueled by his genuine love for people and his desire for them to be taken care of. QuMy two front were knocked out in high school, we played two hand touch a bit different. The dentist I went to at that time was not the best I later found out and over the years the teeth and their posts have needed some love. Dr. Sarhaddi has done some magic with them, eventually I'll need implants but the Doc has helped me get some good life out of my current situation. He always goes above and beyond in explaining what he's doing and why allowing you to understand what's going on in your mouth. Office always feels super inviting and clean. Though I'm no longer in Gilroy, making the 30 minute drive is a small price for the great service I know I'm going to receive. Appreciate you Bruce and staff!
