I lucked into a primo flower day when I walked into Clark's Flower Shop on North State Street, Newtown, yesterday. They had just received a large delivery of roses in preparation for all the upcoming proms and cotillions of surrounding high schools. I had my choice of beautiful colors and accessories, especially favoring those "black" roses, that were a fabulous deep red. The women working there were friendly and accessible, and willing to listen to what I wanted for my gorgeous wife's birthday. They asked me to come back in two hours to give them time to create something timeless and unforgettable. I knew I could trust them with a dollar amount I wanted to spend. As anyone can see from the accompanying photos, they did a tremendous job putting a bouquet together with those blackies, pinks and peach roses, surrounded by a subtle secondary floral arrangement. Spectacular! The finished creation was packaged for temporary transportation in a blanket of corrugated cardboard and ribbon, with the stems in a plastic bag full of water. Hadn't seen that before. It sat next to me as I drove home, neatly snuggled by the seatbelt. Worked like a charm. The experience was so much more satisfying than the online purchasing I used to do. Hands and eyes on with instant commentary by experts is the best way to buy flowers for those you love. Yes. It may cost a bit more, but nothing compares with the look of gratitude and the loving embrace that spontaneously burst forth when I walked in the door and wished my lady a happy birthday. Cindy, and her amazing shop, are exactly what you need for any occasion. I walked in the Sat after Thanksgiving to get a bouquet for a loved one who had just been diagnosed with cancer. She let me hand pick the flowers I wanted, helped me fill in the rest, and had hand painted cards at the register for me to choose from. I recently purchased flowers for my mothers birthday. I was very disappointed in the quality and arrangement of flowers for the money. The bouquet was made up of mostly carnations. Not what I expected for spending $100 + tax/delivery. To make matters worse flowers only lasted 3 days. Very disappointing. read more

I've now used Clark's Flower Shop for many occasions and they always do such a nice job on arrangements. They are very helpful, friendly, and prompt. Their wrapped bouquets really are a unique way to delivery flowers so more of the cost goes into the flowers and not the container; it's a great idea! They even gave me a container to borrow to hold some flowers I was transporting to a bakery so the flowers would not dry out during the transit. read more

Cindy did a wonderful job with our bridal bouquets. I met with Cindy a few months before the wedding and shares a bunch of photos of what I was looking for. I wasn't sure what would be in season, but Cindy was able to pull from the photos and work with my color palette to create exactly what I was looking for. She delivered all of the bouquets in glass vases so that we'd be able to put our flowers on the cake table and make a nice display. The florist I had the absolute pleasure to work with was Cindy and we hit it off right away. It was around 6:40pm and after I exhausted my search for the best florist in Pennsylvania I came up with a short list of three that I was going to trust with our order. When I looked at my watch I knew it was after business hours, but I thought I was still in the office so perhaps someone was still in the shop. My original call to the shop the phone rang and I thought ok, they are closed so I just left a quick voicemail with my name and contact number only. About 15 minutes later, my office phone started to ring and I was a little stunned to see the name on the call display said Clark's Flower Shop. It was Cindy; she was pleasant from the very start. She asked me did I know what I was looking for and I was honest, I had no idea I just knew we wanted the flowers to show the person we were purchasing them for to feel special when she saw them. Cindy and I exchanged email addresses and she encouraged me to send her my thoughts, ideas and anything to help her understand our vision for the arrangement. I explained to Cindy that we had attempted 3 previous surprises for this person and they all failed. I even explained to Cindy that she now had a very small delivery window. Cindy reassured me that she would work with me and WOW she exceeded my expectations!!!.. The flowers were for my boss (more like a family member) and she is not easy to surprise and nor is she easy to blow away..
