He overcharges for everything - watch for double billing. Some of his staff is nice, and some are quite snippy and unkind. Go to someone else if you want good eye care.

I never knew such a thing existed until I tried on a pair here and immediately noticed the difference. This may be my first pair of glasses that actually fit my big head! Thanks to the sales person that educated me and helped me pick out the right glasses. She was awesome! Great selection of designer glasses. When it comes down to it, all retailers charge about the same for the lenses. It has been my experience that the better quality the frame, the longer they last.

I was there for a diabetic eye exam and to check on a YAG laser procedure I was told I might need. It was the way it was done that I objected to. The technician did not identify her role and did not say that if she did an exam, she would be charging me. They had me do a whole bunch of stuff and frankly I don't know what was supposedly the refraction. The ophthalmologist did many of the same things. I got the impression that money was the big priority in this office.

They then asked if I wanted to submit the charge to Medicare, I agreed. Medicare did not cover this service, which Im sure they knew Medicare wouldn't, then they sent me a bill for $160. When I asked why they said because Medicare did not pay, I explained that I was quoted $114 and paid that amount. They then said that if they didn't submit the charge to Medicare I would only have had to pay the quoted price, but because they submitted it and Medicare refused, I was now responsible for an additional $160. It makes absolutely no sense, I refused to pay but they keep sending me a bill every month.

Very unethical, it's like writing a script for antibiotics then charging $49 disguised as an administration fee to get it filled. BCBS said this isn't common practice, so this is something THIS provider is doing to it's patients.
