Her primary fitness center was in…read moreSLO, when she was employed down there, but due to a change in jobs, her time is now spent in Paso. I've been an on again, off again member since 2021. Working in Oakland and being home just once a month made it difficult for me. Fast forward to 2025 and I retired and added myself, again to her membership. While my fitness goals have changed, I returned to the club and have been using the pool three days a week. With a reconstructed knee and shoulder, this just takes pressure off those joints. I've been happy with my time at the club. It can be daunting to "get in, get out" during the busy periods of the days, when equipment is being used and you are waiting. I've been lucky to get my workouts in quickly in the early afternoon, both in the weight room and in the pool. The one complaint I know my girlfriend carries, is the availability of classes, especially in Paso. Her going to SLO after work made things quick and easy, but the class schedule is hit and miss for her in Paso. She does with there was a bit more consistency. Aside from that I've been happy with the equipment and cleanliness of the facility. The staff has always been attentive and able to answer my questions. Sometimes I wonder if this is because the kids are around other age groups (it's for grades 4-8) and not just other jr high students. Or maybe part of it is the arts-based curriculum which gives kids some wonderful outlets for their talents. They don't have to pretend the arts aren't cool to fit in with their peers. One thing I've finally learned as a parent is that what may be a great fit for one kid is not for another. However, two of our children, both very different personalities, have gone here and it has been an excellent experience for them. We've had several teachers go out of their way on several occasions and have felt warmly embraced in the community by Principal Rubin and Chris in the front office.

The interior is nice and spacious, with lots of mat space for the kids. They attended class each day from 8:30 am until 12;30 and we picked them up when they were done to drive them home. Our nephew was excited to show us how he had learned a tumbling run ending in a flip in just five days! As a former teacher myself, I appreciated the way that the instructor addressed each child by name, lining them up safely and comfortably to wait outdoors for their parents to pick them up!

There's no Express, just movie tickets area. Not efficient. We got our tickets 5, and went to theater 3, recliner seats The new seats are fantastic! Power recliners. I hope they hold up well I'm not a fan of the movie we saw and it was kinda long. 2 hrs 12 min. But it was a family movie day so most of us went as a group. The theater itself. Women's bathroom had 2 empty towel dispensers. When o stopped in again the movie they had set 1 roll of towels on the counter. No idea why the theater had no towels early on the day at first showing. I noticed the walls by the bathrooms entrances were bashed up like someone kicked and broke the drywall. So it looks poorly maintained. Overall I was very happy with the new recliner chairs so I would be happy going here instead of Atascadero where I have gone for about 30 plus years. Atascadero has a much larger, nicer lobby with dedicated inside ticket windows. The hallways by the theaters are larger than Paso. At Paso when movie ended it's very congested and small hallway where everyone is trying to get into the bathrooms and a row of trash cans there also takes space. Paso is just too small in lobby and hallway areas but nothing can be done about this.

The kids box came with a Mario cup, snack choice, and popcorn for $9.50. Staff is friendly and kind, even on a busy Friday. The decor for the opening of Mario made it extra special and fun.
