They later called to tell me that was a mistake and there was no appointment. I finally got an appointment on July 28 at 2:30 pm. I made all sorts of adjustments at my job to leave early and get to my appointment. I walked in and was told my appointment was set for the 20th and when I did not show up they "called and called me and even sent a text message" Gee, no missed calls or texts on my phone. The last straw was the stylist didn't even offer another appointment upon seeing my disappointment! Just told me she was booked...to say the customer service was beyond horrible would be an understatement! After that encounter I would never trust them to do my hair-Lord only knows what I would have ended up with!

Daughter and grandkids arrived for vaca and oldest boy (10) decided it was too warm for his long…read morehair and could he get it cut today. Checked for what was close by and found J Rod's less than 5 mile drive. I phoned to inquire about walk-in vs appointments and was treated very nicely on phone. Daughter decided J Rod's was the winner of places we considered and packed her son (and cousin) and off they went. My grandson looked fabulous after his haircut! Daughter said all staff were nice, friendly and helpful. She said the atmosphere in the establishment reminded her of the local small town shop they visit back home. One thing she appreciated was being able to leave one boy in sitting area while other was in barber chair and not worrying about either. Daughter was very impressed with service and joked with me she might have to send kids to visit us more frequently so they can get their hair cut there again. Even grandson was happy with his cut.
