They specialize in plant based vegan meals. Naturally I was worried because not everyone can make vegan food taste great although WHOLE vegan food is pretty much green food that you find at your grocery store in the produce section. I wanted more than just salad. I know vegan food can be more but would the chef encompass that. Well yes she did. Chef Kimberly was great in organizing and understanding exactly what I wanted. Everything was amazing. I was able to go over and help create a menu with items personalized to our liking for our evening. I went with an Asian inspired menu which consisted of soba noodles, crab-less fried crab cakes. I believe they're made with shredded mushrooms and hearts of palm, absolutely delicious with her aioli . For one of the starters we had a side salad with miso sesame dressing. We ended the evening with a tropical dessert made with mango, agar beads and coconut whip. For beverages we drank heart chakra infused alkaline water and wine. Everything was 100% vegan and made from scratch down to the salad dressing and coconut whip. It was a whole food menu. Meaning we could've gotten vegan processed burgers or sauces but the chef and I decided to keep it clean and green. Empress Eats also had a staff member taking photos of our experience and their meal preparation process which they shared with us. Note it's not a photo shoot for your event , it's for them. But they did share them . Also note they're not the ones I shared here. As for covid measures the staff for Empress Eats utilized face coverings, adhered to social distance guidelines, and were very sanitary. Obviously necessary especially since they're preparing your meal. They were friendly and professional. This was definitely a great experience. We were very pleased and relaxed. We didn't have to go to a restaurant, wait in lines, nor cook or clean for dinner. All you have to do is provide a space for them to set up and cook them just relax.
