I found an online Ford vendor that could provide the exact color and grain at a premium price. Talked to Ian's folks and they said they would help me with installation if I could get the materials. Online vendor took a while, but when we got the product, Ian's Auto Interior did a fantastic job of covering a set of front seats for a 2001 Bullitt Mustang with 1969 Mustang vinyl that matches Dark Ivy Gold (green) exactly.

I paid Ian's Auto Interior $600 to install a leather seat kit from Al Knoch for my 1965 corvette…read morerestomod. A 200k car The kit cost more than $2,000. I dealt with Ryan. The seats came back a mess. Ryan's response was worse than the wrinkles: arrogant, contemptuous, and completely unwilling to own work he had already been paid to do. First install: sloppy. They said they would do it again. Same sloppy job. Piping does not line up. Wrinkles all over. Top skins sit crooked, and that is why the upper and lower piping miss. Calling that a redo is an insult. Ryan did not own it. He blamed the manufacturer, shrugged, and treated a $2,000 kit and a $600 labor bill like they were my problem for bringing the skins in. He made it plain he felt no duty to the finish because he did not sell the leather. That is a coward's excuse. If the kit was defective he should have refused the job before he took a dollar. He took the dollar. Then he hid behind the kit. Hostile. Short. Dismissive. Flippant. Chip on his shoulder the entire conversation. No apology. No plan. No respect. Just contempt for the work and contempt for the person who paid for it. That is not the shop Ian built a name on. That is a man who will collect $600, deliver wrinkled crooked seats twice, and still look at you like you are wasting his time. One star is generous. Do not give Ryan your kit. I will not go back. I will not send anyone else.

I have been calling many places and got many quotes. The quotes were so expensive that I decided to wait to have them done. Muniz Upholstery was introduced to me by my mechanic. I was in the area, and decided to stop by. Jorge was a nice and honest man. He was up front with me that it's impossible to get the exact color. He showed me leather swatch samples and recommended me to choose from the two colors that he thought were best matches. His pricing is so good that I didn't think twice. And the turn around time is unbeatable. I left my car there at 11:30 in the morning. I didn't expect it to be done the same day since the color I picked is not commonly used. Came 4:30 pm same day, he called to let me know that my car was ready for pickup since he knew I needed my car back as soon as possible. The whole process was extremely pleasant and simple.
