I am very disappointed with my experience and will not return…read more I brought my wedding dress in on May 29 for alterations. It needed to be taken in at the chest, waist, and hips, hemmed to the correct length, and bustled. I came fully prepared with my shoes, shapewear, accessories, and even my veil so the alterations could be done properly. I was told my dress would be ready July 31. On July 30, I called and asked if I could pick it up August 3 and was told it was ready. I called again on August 3 before leaving home and was again told my dress was ready. When I arrived, I was handed **someone else's wedding dress**. After the confusion, I learned that my dress was actually **not ready and the alterations had not even been started**. I received a call the very next morning saying my dress was finished. Considering it had not been started the day before, I was immediately concerned that the work had been rushed. When I returned on August 6, the fit was not right. The back was extremely tight, and the fabric was bunching around my waist and hips instead of laying smoothly. When I expressed my concerns, I was told that I had somehow gained **four inches in my back in approximately six weeks**. I was also told the dress needed to be let out again and that I would have to pay an additional $125, on top of the **$625 I had already paid**. When I picked the dress up again a few days later, the bunching was still there. At that point, I was told there was nothing more that could be done. Having wedding dress alterations done is stressful enough without being repeatedly told a dress is ready when it isn't, discovering the work had not even been started, being handed another bride's dress, and ultimately leaving unhappy with the fit after paying hundreds of dollars. I took my dress elsewhere to have the alterations corrected. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this seamstress for bridal alterations. My advice- STAY AWAY!!!!

EXPERT? EXPERIENCED??…read morePROFESSIONAL??? WEDDING DRESSES???? Oh heck, No!! I took a gray to black, ombre chiffon layered, knee length dress to this establishment on a Tuesday. Although they advertise one day service I asked if it was too late to have it done for the weekend. The not very friendly, young woman told me I could pick it up on Thursday. I said then I will get it on Friday around 5 PM. giving them just a little more time, referencing a small stain. She then pointed to the beaded neckline and said "There may be trouble with the beads". Not quite understanding but thinking she may be concerned that they were loose, I assured her I had only worn it once and they should be firmly in place. Then she said if they are CHEAP beads they will melt. So I asked her, "Are they cheap beads?", after all she is proclaiming to be the expert. She said there is no way that she could tell if they would melt or not. I asked if she could tell if they were glass and not plastic and she said no she could not tell. There is a big sign on the window that advertises for care of wedding dresses. So I was naturally surprised and asked her "Why can't you tell?" Once again she repeated her same words, in a condescending voice, "If they are cheap they will melt". The dress was not a cheap dress, and it was rather insulting and unexpected while claiming experience. But I took my chances - and I left the dress there. I returned to the store Friday as I said I would do. When I arrived that same young woman said the dress was not ready and could I come back and pick it up on Saturday. I explained my dilemma again - I needed the dress on Sunday but if those cheap beads melted, or the stain would not come out - I would need enough time to go out and shop for something else to wear. She started to insist that they needed more time for the stain, and I began insisting that I will return in an hour and a half and have my dress on Friday, as promised!!!! When I returned my dress was done. The beads were fine. The stain was gone. There was no apology, there was no discount offered. It was just another insult when the snarky young woman said, "Your dress is just fine except we can't get that smell out of it!!" I will never use this service again. I will discourage everyone I know from using this service. And I would elope and get married in my underwear before I took MY wedding dress to these people!!!
