She showed us a sample of beautiful large carpet remnant that was being stored downstairs. It was perfect, a great color,and the price was amazing! Now, we're using the remnant for two bedrooms. My wife was happy, and I was ecstatic. Without Tracey's guidance we might have spent quadruple online for a substandard rug. She is the best, and Hopkins Carpet One is a great flooring store.

Lori, the owner, was extremely personable & helpful, guiding me through the process of determining my needs & evaluating the pros and cons of different products. Carpet City does not get a commission from different manufacturers, so the focus is on finding and selling a carpet which fits the customer's specifications and price range. James, who came to our house to measure, then returned to remove & replace the carpet was meticulous, friendly, & very precise in his work. We couldn't be happier, both with the quality of the carpet but also with integrity of the business owner and her staff.

A builder friend connected me with Ann at Carpet Resources because we were looking at replacing our…read moreold floor in the laundry/mud room on our lower level. We had some settling and a big fissure had emerged across the hallway. Ann had their expert installer Jeff come over and measure and give us an idea of what it would take to fix it up. The hardest part was choosing a new flooring. Ann was super helpful in letting us take home samples (I had about 20 my first trip), and even had some others sent directly to our house so we could see full sized pieces. In the end we went with vinyl tiles (that look like stone tiles but are much less pricey and a better fit for our space). The total project took about 4 partial days: -day 1: patch and smooth crack -day 2: remove edging and smooth out floor -day 3: apply glue and start laying flooring -day 4: apply grout (an option but it makes it look even more like tile), replace edging (shoe) Workmanship was top notch and Jeff (and his helper, also named Jeff) did an excellent job cleaning up and hauling everything away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A couple things you should know about their store in Hopkins: -Location: in a tiny strip mall in the corner past a dollar store just off Main Street -THEY DONT HAVE A WEBSITE (yet)-so best to call and set up an appointment - they have several designers on staff -Store isn't anything fancy, in fact it is pretty small and packed with samples but they know where it all is and have plenty of variety -Ann and the other designers REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF and can give lots of helpful advice -Prices: I didn't really shop around but my guess is the big box stores are cheaper, but for me, THE EXCELLENT SERVICE AND QUALITY were worth any small extra expense. -They seem to work with a number of builders and those guys usually know quality - they do all kinds of floors including carpet. We discussed and agreed to the project schedule and expectations. What transpired was a serious lack of transparency and management. We were taken advantage of including paying for work that was never done and were told it was, hurried work that required rework multiple times, schedule slippage by multiple weeks causing us to incur additional costs and rescheduling subsequent contractors. John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework. We had just remedied our water problem and wanted to assure that a flooring was going to make it through water before putting down anything permanent. I wanted something we could lift up if we had water and no carpet pad. An older gentleman at Carpet City,who claimed to be the owner, assisted. He recommended indoor/outdoor carpet and took me to a back area to show me some carpet. We have not had any water problems since our fix but had a resin come through the carpet whenever any friction was applied. Years later, we finally decided to pull the carpet and found a still tacky glue remaining. I consulted the current owner of Carpet City & Hopkins Tile and Carpet. She blamed me and everyone else. She promised to call me back with a solution and never did. We hired a flooring company, and they found two different types of glues used to adhere the carpet. One was appropriate and the other used with a trowel which should be used only with tile flooring....not carpet. The glue was tacky enough that he walked out of his shoes. The expression he used was that this was aggressive and now they have to scrape still tacky glue. That is what was coming through the carpet ... anytime any friction was applied...very early in its years. It was costly to get an inexpensive flooring removed because of folks who are not professionals or not experts...the Carpet City folks. The lower level is bone dry! Never ever do business with a company who does not follow through the directions given or does not even assist in a remedial process for the mess they created.

During installation, our trim was damaged. When I reached out to work through a solution, Giuliano was condescending, dismissive, and extremely disrespectful--both over email and on the phone. Because of Giuliano's conduct, I cannot recommend Flooring Expo.

I stayed hone from work for the 3 hour window waiting for a representative to show up. 5 minutes before the window ended, I contacted the company trying to find out what was going on. I didn't hear back for another hour that someone would be helping me. The new representative just pretty much brushed it off without much acknowledgement until I mentioned the inconvenience. He then told me he was going to call me to talk and didn't call for almost an hour. I messaged again to check in and he said he would call in a second and yet again didn't call. When he came over it honestly felt like I was being read a bunch of lines about the deals he was "giving" me that were clearly standard to make customers feel like they are getting a deal they aren't. He also pretty much insulted me for offering to pay cash to help with the pricing. (Mind you he also told me he was 26 so I am attributing a lot of this to lack of maturity/age) He then told me he would be getting em my estimate the next day and we made an appointment time. An HOUR after the time had passed he messaged to tell me we couldn't do it that day. We rescheduled for today and it's now 40 min past our time and I haven't heard anything. I really was ready to make a purchase if this company had cared enough to follow through with anything. I'm seeing they have great reviews on google but I missed the massive amount of 1 star reviews on yelp.
