Thankfully, I haven't had any missing clothes. ***And yes, every laundromat asks if you have rugs, or blankets, because that will cost extra. If you're complaining, then do your own laundry?*** Anyhow, it's very clean, convenient, and the staff works very hard. Patience and listening is key, and I guarantee you, you'll experience a lovely time as well. The best part? You can pay with cash and card (no Amex folks!), as you drop off OR when you pick up! That's a rare find for the area. :-)

I put my clothes in, grab a chair and watch the Noticias which are on during practically every visit. There are signs everywhere explicitly stating that none shall use machines for footwear (laundromat commandments). However I remember one time some dude pulled a pair of Nike ACG boots that looked like Judge Dredd joints out one of the washers (that's violating). But I digress. I had one wack experience where a machine malfunctioned midway through the cycle. My clothes were full of suds and I was a little vexed. I told a worker what happened. Minutes later, a man approached and told me to put my clothes in another machine. He then used his own laundry card to start the new cycle. I was honestly expecting to take an L and spend extra to complete that one load. This place is also hardly ever crowded which is a major plus.

They don't have many seats near the machines, but a lot of folks stand near the machines anyway, so if you want to sit and read a book and don't wash your clothes during a busy time you can typically find a seat. Only downside- I've tried getting my dry cleaning done there in the past, and stuff wasn't really clean when I got it back. Solution? Go somewhere else for your dry cleaning needs, and problem solved!

I've done 4 washes in the afternoon/evening and it is never crowded, usually empty. It's not hot, muggy, or nasty smelling like other places. There are tables and chairs so I can study aka bejeweled my way through my wash. The washers are also INDUSTRIAL. I can stuff them full and they are crystal clean coming out. 28 min for wash and a heavy load can usually dry I'm 40-45 min. The washers are $4.50, $6, and $8 as size. I believe it was 35 cents per 8 min of dry. Also go in the weekday and it will be empty, crowded on weekends *I originally gave this place 5 stars, but it says on their flier on yelp that it will be open until midnight every night, but I went at 9:30 pm the other night and it was closed. Dry cleaning, alterations, and wash and fold are available behind the counter as well for reasonable prices. Facility overall is kept very clean and so is the bathroom. Plenty of folding space and laundry carts are also available. Air conditioning also makes it bearable for the summer.

The name of this place is Golden Rainbow, after some observation on my walk home this evening, not Jen & W as previously listed. Anyway, Golden Rainbow (you can tell how much I care about it, considering I originally reviewed it under the wrong name) is the only place I will take my laundry. 1.) it is across the street from me 2.) there is always an open machine 3.) they are very nice 4.) you can leave your laundry & don't have to worry some stranger is going to run off w/one of your socks 5.) it is across the street from me 6.) they always have quarters 7.) it is only $1.50 to wash & about the same to dry 8.) they just added more washers 9.) they make it possible to catch up on all the Spanish Channel soaps you've been missing while at work Did I mention it is right across the street from me? And although proximity is the only reason I started coming here, I come back, week after week, because I think the owners are nice & I have yet to have a bad experience.
